"Villa Verdad was wonderful and everything that was advertised. Francesca and Rene were helpful and accommodating as was Pascual the caretaker. I look forward to a return visit"

  • Utterly splendid!

"Pasaj-Cap is a true gem. The entire property very tastefully & brilliantly designed by the owner, Pierre, who cannot better himself as a host. That too goes for the entire staff. My husband & I spent 4 weeks in Copacabana & couldn't have been more content. Our private rooftop patio with 2 chaises & another hammock an added plus. We'll be chewing the cud of our stay - including the spectacular views from every single part of the loft - for years to come. It will be near impossible to beat the splendour & tranquillity of Pasaj-Cap, which is to say: we'll be back! Please read more of the reviews; I'll simply be repeating what has already been said. Only: if you're someone who wants 'nightlife' then PC may not be for you. But if your batteries require recharging in a serene location, do reserve your bit o' heaven immediately if not sooner!"

  • Paradise found

"It’s a cliché on review sites to say that photos don’t do a place justice, but it happens to be true in this case. I always thought those scenes of lakes and volcanoes you’d see painted on the sides of hippie vans in the ‘60s and ‘70s were romantic fantasies; now I realize that they were fairly accurate depictions. The house and grounds are amazing, and although it must have been sad to see part of the property disappear under the rising lake water, it’s great to have the water just a few steps away from the house. I already miss my twice-daily swims (one in the morning after sunning like a lizard on the dock, and another in the late afternoon after baking in the sauna.) The kayak was great, too, for exploring the shoreline in either direction, from Tzununa to San Juan. My wife and kids also used it to paddle over to morning yoga classes. Miguel and Mateo are really sweet guys, and were helpful in many ways, such as lighting the sauna and bringing warm tortillas in the morning. Tim was also very helpful and informative, and kept us supplied with freshly baked bread and freshly roasted coffee."

  • A Star in the Lake

"This property is absolutely gorgeous, a true wonder. It was built taking into account every detail, from functionality to good taste and it`s built over a huge rock. When you get to the house, the most impressive thing you notice is the beauty and majesty of Atitlan Lake and it´s volcanoes (from left to right: Tolimán 3158 m., Atitlán 3535 m. and San Pedro 3020 m.). The house is surrounded by the mountains, having the best toilette view ever. The hut tub heated with wood is perfect for relaxing with a good wine and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Eating in the terrace is a pleasure, no matter what time of the day. Cooking in the well equiped kitchen is inspiring, also a bunch of great cook books, and is very easy to pick up vegetables, spices and fruits from the garden. It is possible to have delivery from La Casa del Mundo and a couple of other restaurants as well. The bathroom with tub and shower has great view and very hot water. Ideal place for yoga and meditation. Not a place suitable for young kids, unless supervised at all times. Access to the house is quite difficult if you are not physically fit, especially hauling luggage. Although you can hire a bunch of people to help carrying the luggage for Q5 each. Private shuttles to and from all other towns in the lake are available booked with time. To sit on the balcony`s hammock reading a good book is an awesome experience. In conclution it is worth the climbing, and it is an amazing place to have a great time. Our family is looking forward to visit the house again."
