  • Beautiful, modern, spacious condo made my 40th Birthday extra-special!!

"As a surprise 40th birthday trip, my wife booked a 6 day trip to Roatan. I had little expectation of Honduras, but I was blown away by the entire area. Amazing food at a variety of restaurants - our favorite was Vintage Pearl, which offered a menu that changed daily and was absolutely exceptional (we live in New York, so we're extremely picky). Infinity Bay itself was extremely well kept, with a huge swimming pool which allowed plenty of space for those with kids as well as those looking to relax. Even the food at the resorts restaurant was good. As well as fare typical to a place looking to cater to westerners (burgers, pizza etc) they were able to include a local flair - our favorite by far was the coconut shrimp, which we had for lunch on several occasions. The staff were extremely friendly and we found that the presence of security guards very comforting, while not being overbearing in the least. The condo itself was everything we could ask for. A huge balcony overlooked the pool, but the foliage seemed to dampen the noise, so it was always pleasant and relaxing, day or night. I've found in the past that balconies in vacation rentals are often small - my wife and I very much enjoy being outside as much as possible while on vacation, so having one this generously sized was amazing with a large table and very comfortable chairs making it a perfect place to relax after a hard day at the beach!! A huge living room with two couches and another large dining table and chairs gave way to a fully equipped and modern kitchen, creating an light, open-plan, relaxed feel to the living space. The wifi we feared might be patchy, but was perfect (and at the beach!!) Two modern bathrooms complemented the two bedrooms, making us wish we'd invited friends (which we will next time!!) the master bedroom faced away from the pool, so was absolutely silent and made for a perfect night's sleep on a very large comfortable bed. The condo's owner has obviously put an awful lot of thought and care into providing everything you'd need for a fabulous vacation, whether with your family or as a couple, right down to a securely locked cupboard which had things like extra lotion, floats, a cooler etc. he really couldn't have been more organized and attentive, making sure we new where everything was and providing advice on where to go and when. I couldn't give a higher recommendation to this condo and it's owner. Absolutely perfect. We can't wait for tha chance to come back."

  • Mike & Leanne Oregon, USA

"Our first time to Roatan & we loved our stay. Our condo was very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. It is located on the quiet end of the resort and we enjoyed peaceful early mornings and evenings out on the balcony. Julie made it so easy for us by answering all our questions and additionally giving us lots of info on activities and places to eat. She is a wealth of knowledge concerning the island and quick to respond to questions you might have. The resort is beautiful and well kept with plenty of places to lay by the pool or lounge on the beach. The staff is especially friendly and helpful and quick to respond if we needed anything. My husband used Infinity Divers at the resort and thought they were fantastic. The snorkeling in front of resort was excellent also. We enjoyed it so much that we will be coming back!! Thank you again Julie!"

  • Home Away from Home!

"Thank you Mary Ann and Bill for sharing your home away from home with us. Our group of gals decided to leave our teaching jobs and husbands behind and escape for a week in "Paradise" during our spring break. Your condo was perfect. We loved the large patio and had quick access to the pool and beach. It was large and roomy and gave the "late sleepers" a little privacy in the studio bedroom. Wow, those beds are so comfy! The service was amazing! Infinity Bay called to check that we had everything we needed, and they were quick to bring us a few extra towels when we asked. The snorkeling and diving in crystal clear waters right in front of Infinity Bay probably is not offered anywhere else in the world! Our dive trips and especially the "stings of pearls" we saw on our night dive left us spell bound. Many peope spend their time vacationing all over the world - - not me - - - I just want to return to Roatan and Infinity Bay! It is perfect!!"

  • Beautiful condo, exactly as described

"This was our first visit to Roatan and we were very pleased with this condo and it's location. The condo complex is quiet and clean and located just a short walk to West End restaurants/amenities. The condo itself is large and comfortable and decorated beautifully. I really can't think of anything that we found lacking. The water dispenser was useful to have for refilling water bottles (2 full tanks are provided). The property management company was super helpful recommending activities prior to our arrival and then making sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. Overall, an entirely positive experience and we will definitely stay in this condo again on subsequent trips."

Honduras Travel Tips

Seasons to Visit Honduras Vacation Rentals

The climate in Honduras varies in the different regions. While it is generally tropical, the weather is cooler and more temperate in the higher mountain regions. Generally, you can wear lightweight cotton clothing all year long. You will need a good rain jacket especially if you are traveling in the wet season. Make sure that you also have one or two warmer items of clothing if you plan to visit the highlands. Typically, the wet season is from May to October. Tropical storms have been known to blow across from the Caribbean, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. The north coast is one of the most popular tourist regions; however, temperatures can get very hot and visitors are advised to use plenty of sunscreen and wear hats. The most popular travel season is during the drier months which are from November through April.

Another city that has well-preserved colonial architecture is the former capital of Honduras, the city of Comayaguan. Here you can roam the cobbled streets, visit the town plazas and see the quaint white-washed houses. Each year for Easter, there is a week-long celebration that is full of cultural festivities. If you have an interest in the ancient Mayan culture, one place you must visit is Copan. Honduras is located in Central America just to the north of Nicaragua and east of Guatemala. The capital city Tegucigalpa is located in the southern region of the country. The nation's main airport is located just three miles to the southeast of Tegucigalpa.
