  • Just as advertised!

"We had a great time at Sea Dancer villas. Everything that we needed to be comfortable was provided, the location was fabulous...close enough to get to town and the beach but far enough way from things to not be impacted when the cruise ships came in. The dock was amazing! We enjoyed our coffee out over the ocean every morning. The snorkeling off the dock was great...although we did snorkel in West Bay, which was amazing, but for the effort it took and the number of people there, we ended up choosing to stay at home most of the time. The villa that we stayed in (#6) was spacious and open with a fabulous view of the ocean! We enjoyed watching tons of hummingbirds by filling the feeder with sugar water. At night, the bats would drink from the feeder, which was absolutely amazing to see. The bed was comfortable, the furniture was new and comfortable. The kitchen utensils could use some maintenance...they were a bit rusty (I'm sure due to the constant moisture in the air) and the knives were not the best for cutting. That said, we had everything we needed and although it isn't a luxury resort, it is amazing given the reasonable price. The manager, Don, was a huge blessing. If we had any problems (while we were there, there were issues with the Internet) he was available to solve the problem quickly. He had great suggestions of things to do, see, and eat while on the island. We felt completely safe the whole time there. Using the taxi cabs was an easy way to get around...even more fun and cheaper were the buses. The buses are basically mini vans that run from Coxen Hole to West End. They come by the road that the villas are on very frequently, making it a cheap and easy way to get around the island. We bought groceries at Eldon's and Plaza Mar...both are good and prices are comparable to the states. I will say that Eldons had a better selection of most things that we purchased. Kayak rentals were easy as there is a shop two houses down the beach. We kayaked the reef and the mangroves right by the house-definitely worth the effort! My husband never used bug spray, however I had to mostly when we went out into town and I should have when we kayaked the mangroves. Sea Dancer does not have sand fleas, guessing because there was someone there raking frequently, however walking further down the beach into property that isn't raked, they are there! Overall, we had an amazing time and hope that we get to return someday soon!"

  • Easily best overall value on Roatan

"As a seasoned vacationer to Roatan and West Bay, I have to believe it's hard to beat this value. The home itself is beautifully laid out, appointed and maintained. Hardwood floors throughout, super comfortable beds, and a fully screened in wraparound deck (best feature in my opinion). It's a short walk or gas powered golf cart ride to the best beach in Roatan. The bedrooms are each roomy with their own island charm. For anyone who's accustomed to traveling to more 'developed' tropical destinations there are a couple things to keep in mind. First, the power goes out regularly in Roatan. Second, it's nice to stay on the beach, but at this price, plan to live with half the space. This place is a 2 minute walk from the best beach on the island. We were warmly greeted by a couple who claimed to be the new property managers. Later they became acquaintances and we were thrilled to have them as local friends. This is a great place and an awesome value!"

  • Fantastic Trip

"Just came back from a 10 day trip to Roatan. The accommodations that Patrice and Claire offer are top notch. The IB facility met all of our needs and expectations. I would highly recommend this location. There were no surprises with the accommodations, and the owners were extremely forthcoming with information to enhance our stay. I look forward to my next visit."

Roatan Travel Tips

Roatan Travel Is a Popular Getaway Option

Roatan, one of the West Caribbean Islands, is situated off the north coast of Honduras. Although relatively unknown to vacationers until the last few years, Roatan travel has quickly been gaining popularity due to the spectacular natural beauty that can be found in the local area. As a result, numerous Roatan resorts have opened, providing travelers with more options when it comes to enjoying the best that the Caribbean has to offer.

Treat Yourself to Plush Accommodations with Roatan Travel

Before you embark on Roatan travel, you might wish to consider viewing the Caribbean resorts and accommodations that are available. This will give you a good idea of the range of lodging from which you can choose and allow you to make your travel arrangements well in advance of your departure date. If you would like to enjoy some of the many water-based activities that are popular on Roatan, consider booking a rental near the beach so that the ocean will be just a few steps from your door. On the other hand, if you want to be near the vibrant part of the city, consider looking for something closer inland.

Dance the Night away at Roatan Resorts

You will not lack for entertainment options at Roatan resorts. The local Caribbean resorts definitely know how to throw a party and the biggest party night is Friday night. That is the night for bar-hopping and enjoying the local discos. If you enjoy reggae and blues music, you will love the entertainment offered at the resorts on Roatan.

Hit the Water at Caribbean Resorts

Scuba diving is one of the reasons that so many people engage in Roatan travel. The range of scuba diving locations off the coast of Roatan is practically limitless. Whether you are a novice or a pro, you will find gorgeous reefs and interesting wrecks to discover below the depths of the water. If you prefer activities that are above the water, consider renting a boat for a day, taking a leisurely sail or engaging in some serious game fishing. Regardless of how you decide to spend your time, the various Roatan resorts and Caribbean resorts will welcome you back with luxury accommodations.
