  • Very nice place to stay in Roatan

"We had a very nice stay at Casa Cowee. The house is very comfortable with amazing views. We enjoyed sunset each evening on the patio, had a great time snorkeling from the dock and watching the daily dolphin shows."

  • Excellent accommodations in the perfect place!

"This trip was our second to Roatan's West End, and our first with Jackie and Peter. They are terrific hosts and have a fantastic, spacious condo. The location is perfect to be near the action, but not right on top of it. Which means great restaurants and bars nearby, but far enough away that you can get a good night's sleep. Under ten a minute walk had us to our dive shop where we enjoyed the world class diving that Roatan has to offer. We are planning two more trips to Roatan within the next year and have already booked this awesome condo. I can't wait to get back to enjoy the beautiful views in the comfort of the of the rooftop patio with the very cool ankle pool. It's the perfect place to cookout, enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset, or for catching some sun while reading a book. Our teenagers LOVED this condom and didn't want to leave... which is a huge endorsement when teenagers love something. Thank you for keeping such a lovely condo and being such nice friendly people! It is nice to have personalized service which, can often be missing when dealing with a property manager. We will see you March! And again in June!"

  • Paradise!

"If you like your bed made daily, cabana boys to bring you drinks, fine dining, and mingling with tourist, DO not go here as you will be completely disappointed. If you don't need any of the above, book now! For our 25th anniversary, I tried to find a place that was quite, off the beaten path, secluded and private & affordable! Toucan Blue checked every box. This place is truly the epitome of paradise. Palm trees, fresh coconuts, humming birds, parrots and song birds, lizards, sunsets that will take your breath away, sunrises that will wake you up, tin roof that will make you yearn for a little rain at night, fresh conch and lobster from the old man in the dugout canoe, local dinning that is superb and affordable...... Lynda was very responsive from the day I sent for information to Liz, the island property manager who emailed answers to every question we had. Liz met us at the airport in our rented Isuzu trooper(rent from Lynda!!! You will see why) and took us to Eldons to get groceries. What an experience. We are truly spoiled in the USA! Also stopped off at the gourmet store for a few things like steak and rum. Driving to the house, prepare for a drop off the main road down a gravel, steep road to the bottom. Then onto the wooden road across the mangroves to the compound. Wow! Daniel or Wilfred will greet you. They are the on-site "security guards". Not sure what they are guarding but they live under the palm trees for three days at a time. Every morning, you wake up and the entire property is raked and. Nothing but sand remains. Caution- apply bug spray every day frequently! We read it and followed the "RULE" and had no problems. We saw some tourist on a trip to West Bay who didn't follow the RULE and will pay the price with bad bites. Snorkeling off the reef at the house was unbelievable. Clear, calm, fish, coral, etc! Kayaking was very cool. Kind of like being in a huge swimming pool. We never turned the air condition on. Slept with window and blinds open every night with fan on. Breakfast on the upper deck, fishing, port royal beer, siesta and off to McNabbs in Jonesville or Cals cantina or Camp Bay resort for lunch. Cooked on the grill every night. We were told to be off the roads by dark. There are no street lights so we heeded the advice. We sunned on the pier to avoid the no seeum bugs and would advice you to do this as well. The palapa was a perfect sunset spot. Bring water shoes! Enjoy"

  • Perfect Punta Blanca Perch!

"I was traveling on my own & had a few days to kill before meeting up with Family on Roatan. This lovely little nest was a perfect pick. Nice & removed from the bustle of the West End, it is a great spot to just unwind. I didn't get to meet Wendy, but Lynn; her mother, was an absolute DOLL. While it might not be ideal for those seeking total seclusion, I found it really nice as a single travelin' gal to have such a sweet person nearby to give some Life to the place & also provide helpful suggestions. She will most definitely tell you the most fun places to go on any given day, if you are looking to enjoy some Local Flavor...which is always a fun-lovin' time! The room itself was so Bright, Light & Colorful that I felt right at home there. No problem with the Wi-Fi reception at all, which was a pleasure. Excellent kitchen for preparing your own meals, if that's what you're into. If not, I find that there are lot's of great places to be served on the East End. Temporary Cal's(BEST!), La Sirena, Crow's Nest, Paya Bay Resort & more. As for the driveway, I was regretting packing heavier than EVER & dragging it up & down the steps, but in the end, it was still fun & made me realize that I had just PACKED way too much! You WILL need to rent a car if you stay here, but if you know how to finesse it a bit, a 4-wheel drive isn't necessary. I assume that if you have made it this far to rent a place on Roatan, you can't be TOO uptight. If you are, there are definitely better places for you~ 'nuff said! haha At any rate, I thoroughly enjoyed my days there & certainly think it's a great place!"
