"We just returned from our trip to Roatan and our stay at the Pink Orchid. We were very pleased with our trip and the ease of dealing with the owners, on site staff and local residents. The owners were very informative and easy to contact prior to our trip and the house is exactly (or better) as described on the website. Location is fantastic with an easy walk either way down the beach to the West End community or West Bay Beach for shopping, dining and entertainment. We went with our two teenage children and another couple and the house was perfect for 6 people. Snorkeling and floating right from the dock was great and the kayak trips to the reef for snorkeling (a very short paddle) were off the hook! We saw sea turtles, a moray eel and several barracuda as well as many beautiful reef fish. The local contacts were really good and we had a local chef come prepare and island feast at the Pink Orchid one evening. We caught tuna on a fishing trip right outside the reef in front of the house and went zip lining one day through the jungle very close to the house. Water taxis were readily available right from the dock and it never took more than a few minutes to flag one down. All in all a fantastic trip for our family. I also think that we should report that the ladies on our trip walked by themselves during the day to both the West End community and West Bay and never felt uncomfortable or threatened during these ventures. It seemed much safer than some of the other locations in Central America / Caribbean region we researched. We did heed the owners advice and stay off the beaches after dark."

"We traveled with another family to Roatan for the 1st time and found these 2 houses to be the best place on the island. As there were 6 children (ages 12-17) and 4 adults, we had plenty of space to spread out. It was delightful to return to these homes and have our own personal oasis once we left the beach or sightseeing.
The houses are on top of a hill, which we were able to see both coasts of the island. It is a very easy walk down to the beach but a bit of exercise to get back up. As our kids were old enough, it wasn’t a problem at all for us.
Claudio was a pleasure to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. The maid/chef and pool boy were exceptional and kept the whole place immaculate. We had Linda cook for us 2 nights and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced for her to cook for 10 of us. We would strongly suggest having her cook.
The entire vacation was extremely easy with the help from Claudio which included getting to the grocery store, finding a driver to sightsee (zip lining was AWESOME!!), places to eat and accommodated us for a later plane departure."

"The sound of the lapping waves will lull you to sleep.
Don't worry about typical island issues: there's a generator if power goes out, there's always Junior, Franklin and Simon to answer questions, help with the internet, your "lender" phone and watch over you. Yes, you'll have to look for the starfish every morning and keep tabs on the sea urchins that clutch to the sea wall, and yes you'll have to figure out how long it takes to kayak to the reef, but you will not want to leave. Our stay was planned to be one week but we loved it so much and we enjoyed our time with Paul so much that we stayed both weeks at Caribe Point. Not daunted by the mountainous terrain ( we domicile in Colorado now) our rented 4 wheel drive Nissan handled everything wonderfully ( we have a suggestion for care rental too if you're interested). We're relocating to the island and if planning holds will be back there during our transition. We can't thank Paul and the boys enough for sharing their Paradise and making us feel we belonged. Avanti!"

"I travel to the island twice a year and I always have a great time at Rainbows Breeze. Its nice to have a full kitchen with full sized appliances when you're staying for a few weeks at a time. Its also wonderful to have a porch with a table and hammock to relax on and the beach only a couple hundred meters away. The dogs are wonderful (I always miss mine when I'm away from home, so its nice to have some furry friends to greet me when I get back to the apartment in the afternoon) and there are plenty of birds to watch (Carib Grackles, woodpeckers, and hummingbirds) in the yard. A very good place to stay for someone who wants to see the whole island, not just the inside of a resort. Good resturants, a grocery, and a gas station are nearby, and because its centrally located on the island you can get the full experience from Camp Bay to West End."
