"Absolutely wonderful stay at Keyhole Bay! A group of us stayed here for a week in early July and would return in a heartbeat. We rented out two condos and one house in the complex. Rene’s condo was beautiful and had everything one needed and then some. Also loved the fact that it was away from the crowds (especially on cruise ship days), but only a short 10 minute walk to West Bay beach and the local restaurants so we didn’t need to rent a car. You also get a constant breeze on the Iron Shore side of the island, which is definitely nice. The community pool was gorgeous and we were usually the only people there. There was 24-hour security, so we always felt safe, as well. Keyhole Bay exceeded our expectations and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful vacation home at a great price! Thank you again Rene!"Guest: Allie7n Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 22, 2014View listing
"We chose Sea Pool Villas to celebrate our 28th anniversary and were so glad that we did! The villa was beautiful, private, open and comfortable, and the grounds were absolutely first class. Brigitta & Jaw went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay and couldn't have been better hosts! Jaw delivered fresh fruit daily which was a special treat and both were so helpful in providing us with information about the island. The bird watching right off of our patio was wonderful and we even got to see a ray jump out of the water while we were eating breakfast! The palapas were a great way to relax and enjoy the true spirit of the Caribbean. Leaving Sea Pool Villas was difficult for so many reasons, but most of all, we felt like we were saying goodbye to long time friends, even though we just met Jaw & Brigitta 9 days before. Highly recommend staying at Sea Pool Villas while in Roatan."Guest: Rob & Robin Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: June 29, 2014View listing
"I was traveling on my own & had a few days to kill before meeting up with Family on Roatan. This lovely little nest was a perfect pick. Nice & removed from the bustle of the West End, it is a great spot to just unwind. I didn't get to meet Wendy, but Lynn; her mother, was an absolute DOLL. While it might not be ideal for those seeking total seclusion, I found it really nice as a single travelin' gal to have such a sweet person nearby to give some Life to the place & also provide helpful suggestions. She will most definitely tell you the most fun places to go on any given day, if you are looking to enjoy some Local Flavor...which is always a fun-lovin' time! The room itself was so Bright, Light & Colorful that I felt right at home there. No problem with the Wi-Fi reception at all, which was a pleasure. Excellent kitchen for preparing your own meals, if that's what you're into. If not, I find that there are lot's of great places to be served on the East End. Temporary Cal's(BEST!), La Sirena, Crow's Nest, Paya Bay Resort & more. As for the driveway, I was regretting packing heavier than EVER & dragging it up & down the steps, but in the end, it was still fun & made me realize that I had just PACKED way too much! You WILL need to rent a car if you stay here, but if you know how to finesse it a bit, a 4-wheel drive isn't necessary. I assume that if you have made it this far to rent a place on Roatan, you can't be TOO uptight. If you are, there are definitely better places for you~ 'nuff said! haha At any rate, I thoroughly enjoyed my days there & certainly think it's a great place!"Guest: LNB Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: June 16, 2014View listing
Roatan Travel Tips
Roatan Travel Is a Popular Getaway Option
Roatan, one of the West Caribbean Islands, is situated off the north coast of Honduras. Although relatively unknown to vacationers until the last few years, Roatan travel has quickly been gaining popularity due to the spectacular natural beauty that can be found in the local area. As a result, numerous Roatan resorts have opened, providing travelers with more options when it comes to enjoying the best that the Caribbean has to offer.
Treat Yourself to Plush Accommodations with Roatan Travel
Before you embark on Roatan travel, you might wish to consider viewing the Caribbean resorts and accommodations that are available. This will give you a good idea of the range of lodging from which you can choose and allow you to make your travel arrangements well in advance of your departure date. If you would like to enjoy some of the many water-based activities that are popular on Roatan, consider booking a rental near the beach so that the ocean will be just a few steps from your door. On the other hand, if you want to be near the vibrant part of the city, consider looking for something closer inland.
Dance the Night away at Roatan Resorts
You will not lack for entertainment options at Roatan resorts. The local Caribbean resorts definitely know how to throw a party and the biggest party night is Friday night. That is the night for bar-hopping and enjoying the local discos. If you enjoy reggae and blues music, you will love the entertainment offered at the resorts on Roatan.
Hit the Water at Caribbean Resorts
Scuba diving is one of the reasons that so many people engage in Roatan travel. The range of scuba diving locations off the coast of Roatan is practically limitless. Whether you are a novice or a pro, you will find gorgeous reefs and interesting wrecks to discover below the depths of the water. If you prefer activities that are above the water, consider renting a boat for a day, taking a leisurely sail or engaging in some serious game fishing. Regardless of how you decide to spend your time, the various Roatan resorts and Caribbean resorts will welcome you back with luxury accommodations.
