"We had the extreme privilege of being able to stay here as a vacation and staff retreat. The house exceeded my expectations and truly was a week that we will never forget. It was even bigger than I envisioned through pictures and videos and perhaps it felt this way due to the wonderful open air feel to the rooms and space. You can tell that detail and thought went into every aspect of the construction and layout. The house was perfect for a large group as it provided sufficient communal space but also enough space to be alone. The kitchen was great for cooking large meals and big enough for there to be more than one cook in the kitchen. We enjoyed the family style layout with the kitchen, dining room and lounge area all somewhat connected in the same room. The pool was amazing and we definitely utilized that at any time of night or day! Liz and Ephraim made us feel welcome and secure which really allowed us to just focus on having a great time. The house is a bit removed from any of the larger towns on the island but that was just what we were looking for. It would be an honor to return again in the future!"Guest: Blair Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 6, 2014View listing
"We had a great 2 weeks on Roatan. Could not beat the location above the West Bay Mall and short walk to the beach! Snorkelling was amazing and not a 10 minute walk from the condo. The generator is a major bonus as the power tends to be a little flakey on the island."Guest: Chris H. "We spent a wonderful vacation in Roatan, at Belvedere and Casanueva. The occasion was a special family reunion: three generations and family members coming from different places. We found this property to be the ideal solution for us. The property managers were always prompt and friendly in offering guidance and suggestions throughout our stay. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Personnel at the villas was very friendly and willing to help. The two villas are absolutely stunning, clean and comfortable providing privacy and relaxation ; the views fantastic, the location just perfect: only a few minutes walk to the best beach . The outdoor area with its lush, tropical garden surrounding the inviting panoramic pool, has an incredible sea view over the coastline ; there are plenty of comfortable loungers, two gazebos with armchairs, tables and chairs. Within walking distance, there are good restaurants and shops. It was just so lovely to sleep with windows open and enjoy the heavenly Caribbean breeze blowing. The family enjoyed BBQing outside on the outdoor kitchen by the pool as the sun set and also having breakfast in one of the several decks or gazebos. We had a fantastic time."Guest: Rosemary A. "This house is simply perfect! I am so glad the owners share their little slice of paradise! It is perfectly situated in the middle of the island of Roatan with a grocery store nearby to prepare great meals in the awesome kitchen with views that don’t quit. There are also great restaurants nearby if you don’t feel like cooking. The buoy out front is a dive spot for the island businesses that you get to enjoy at your leisure. We snorkeled twice a day from the dock and were amazed by the beauty. The property is managed by a superb local company, Blue Reef, who are at your disposal for anything you may need. If you are looking for peace and quiet and a vacation you’ll never forget, choose Far Tortuga. Prepare yourself to never want to leave!!"Guest: Debbie P.
