  • Perfect rental

"Right up the hill from the center of town and right across from the Mango Inn and Treetanic Bar. Cool, shady swimming pool; so refreshing. Perfect tiki hut to loung alone or in a group around the table. Only a 20L "Toc-Toc" (cab) ride to town down the hill, but the walk wasn't even slightly troublesome. Tony and Jo will make sure you feel great and are having the best time."

  • A trip I wont soon forget

"This bungalow was tucked away for the most private holiday experience with the most beautiful organic view of the bay, ocean and mainland mountains in the distance. Its truly one of the most beautiful places I've been. The house is literally 300 square feet. Its all we needed though. Clean foe the most part. Bugs are a bit of an issue. But you get used to it, because they are anywhere you go! We didn't cook since eating out was so affordable. Tuk tuk were no more than $5 no matter where you want to go. We called the same dude everytime. Other wise scooters are ideal. $35/day for a scooter, we had a blast bombing around thr rugged island on that thing. I would suggest bringing or buying good bug spray with high level deet. Sandflies will drive you crazy otherwise. We used eldons dive shop. It was affordable but not the newest equipment. They took us to water cays for an afternoon after diving which was a highlight for sure. All in all. It was a fabulous place to stay for two people. We would highly suggest taking a plane too. The ferry looked awful, and the plane we took was lux!"

  • Excellent vacation home....

"This cute house on Utila was a pleasure to stay at while on Utila. Utila is a small Island with no cars and main tourist attraction is diving. Due to this having a house with a pool was amazing as some of us were not divers. We soon realized we were also one of very few places with a pool on the Island. The house is mid-range accomodation but great for Utila. It is only the main level of the house. There were no lounge chairs and the hammock was not available as seen. In the kitchen it needed upgraded cutting utensils. All in all though a great lil spot and nothing missing that ruined our trip by any means. Utila is a very low key, backpacker type Island so this property in comparison to most other accomodations on Utila is high end. JJ and his wife who manage the property were also amazing. They were easily accessible and eager to help us with any questions or problems (which were minimal). I would definately stay at this property again if I returned to Utila. :)"

  • It felt like home..

"ony and Jo don't just rent their property, the make you feel like you home. A couple so hospitable and warm! They picked us up from the ferry and showed us the island of Utila. The next day we had a wonderful trip to the Cayes with them and other tenants from the Gardens,it was like a family getaway, hot dogs on a deserted island is something unforgettable.Tony and Jo also arranged a Kayak trip with Steve through the mangroves and out into Turtle Bay,and helped us with advise about anything we asked! Oh yeah, the property? :) Booking our stay we got the quickest response with the most detailed answers and advice,so we knew everything about the Gardens AND Utila island way before we arrived,it was very helpful. The property is very clean and very well maintained( new microwave and stove, nice dishes, furniture, decor, purified water, and a real garden!) compared to other buildings on the island,if you are looking for apartment - long or short term -it's the best choice. It's located off the main street, which is a 10-15 minute walk,or less, - or a dollar taxi drive ( Tony and Jo were so kind to let us use one of their cell phones, we could call a taxi any time and it would arrive to the Gardens in 5 minutes) There are properties right on the main street, where all the action is,sounds attractive, but really, they didn't look nearly as clean and new as the Gardens, with its perfectly maintained territory, with all the appliances you need for cooking or just chilling, and a great price as well,so we were more than happy with our choice.Central America can be a very different experience compared to US but we did feel at home throughout our entire stay in Utila. Thank you Tony and Jo, we'll see you next year!"
