  • Beyond our expecatations

"Great location on the quieter end of town, but close to everything. Beautiful large front porch with a great view of the bay. Three comfortable bedrooms. Entire house was well furnished and provided us with everything we needed, including nice beach towels. JJ and Tina, caretakers were great to work with and waiting upon our arrival to show us the house. It was an overall great rental experience."

  • Amazing!

"Tony and Jo made our trip a very special and unique experience! They are simply fantastic people, and as hosts, they went above and beyond. From helping with the local transportation arrangements, to site seeing recommendations, dining recommendations, and friendly conversation about the island, etc. It was like getting picked up at the airport by old friends. The Gardens was very comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was far enough away from the bars to be peaceful, but close enough to walk down to the main street without any trouble. I also found it very cool to be positioned where there were several different routes to take on my daily commute to UDC. Also going to put a plug in for Charolette's place for breakfast, which is just down the street. It was awesome! Thank you guys very much, and we hope to see you again soon!"

  • Loved Oyster Lagoon House

"My husband, 12 yr old son and I were very well looked after by Sue and Angel. Sue helped us arrange transportation from Roatan by air and Angel picked us up at the airport and get some groceries for the first couple of days. We were in Utila to get our dive certification and the house was conveniently located two minutes walk from the dive center. We checked out some of the restaurants in town as well as cooked at home. We were there the week leading up to Easter weekend so the road in front of the property was probably a lot busier than it usually is. The house is well kept, quite beautiful with all the natural wood and the open air design is so wonderful. I would recommend this property and if in Utila again, would definitely be talking to Sue. Would recommend a vegetable peeler for the utensil drawer :D!!"

  • Relaxing time at Pineapple House

"We just returned from a fantastic week at the Pineapple House. Dave and Trish were very helpful, as was everyone we encountered. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised to find a stash of board and card games which we enjoyed in the evenings after dinner. The bathrooms are spacious and the living room sofa was frequently covered by five large napping teenagers. Very comfortable! We were able to manage without AC until bedtime but it was warm when we were using the gas stove for dinner. The snorkeling off the beach and nearby dock were the best we have ever experienced and we've been to many places. The beach is a combination of sand and coral, so shoes (flip flops) are needed. The only drawback was the trash and garbage along the beach. One day after the wind changed direction refuse (including baby diapers) drifted in from the Keys on the beach in front of the house. Orlando cleaned it up late in the day. I also missed the pads on the lounge chairs. And yes, the sand flies are present. The best defense is baby oil. The sun decks on top of the dock made for beautiful sunrise and sunset viewing! Chef John prepared two excellent meals for our family that made our stay especially memorable. It was a treat to walk into the house upon our arrival to see Chef John ready to serve us. We also enjoyed a family-style meal made the house for us by Christy and Melvan from the fishing village on the Keys. Our trip to Water Cay was also a highlight. There were a few other people there when we arrived and it was peaceful. Then the party boats arrived with blaring music. My suggestion if you want a quite island experience - go early and leave before noon. Utila is a safe and beautiful island. Our family would stay at the Pineapple House again."
