"We spent five days here after nine days in Honduras for a missions trip. We were exhausted and really needed to relax! Also, it was near our 40th wedding anniversary and we wanted some romance! The weather was perfect, the house was comfortable, the view and snorkeling were amazing. The caretaker, Andy, was very helpful, as was the owner, Kurt. Both gave us lots of information and helped us make arrangements for anything we needed. Andy arranged for a golf cart rental and rides to/from the dock and airport. We didn't use the AC at all, because of the nightly breeze. Sitting on the deck was our favorite thing to do. It was amazing to be able to walk down the back stairs and directly into the water. The reef is full of beautiful fish and live coral, so the snorkeling is amazing. We want to go back tomorrow!"

"Our stay at the Round House could not have been better. We were traveling with a 5 month old and it was so enjoyable. The owner even bought a portacrib for us to use. We made good use of the covered deck so no one was sunburned yet we got to read while looking over the ocean. Much of the time we were in the ocean since the snorkeling and fishing right out from the house was fantastic. Town was a 20-30 minute walk so eating out was easy. We also used the large, well equipped kitchen for fixing some meals. All in all, I would return tomorrow if I could."

"Initially we booked Blue Bayou Beach House for 5 nights. We were attracted by the location right next to the coral reefs and of course an affordable price. And we weren't disappointed. The house has a beautiful porch from where you can hum right into the corals. Just outside the house is a great wall with the most amazing corals. Lots of coral fishes. The house is a bit rustic, however charming. There is though one nuisance: Sand flies! You don't notice them, before it's too late. You don't see them, you don't feel, when they bite, but you will seen see the impact of them on your body. So be advised to take need precautions (repellents, baby oil,...).
Before making the booking, we had a very positive correspondence with the owners, Deanna and Ed. Very responsive and very helpful. We felt confident throughout the engagement with Deanna and Ed. On the island we were welcomed by Mike, who is kind of a janitor, and he made sure we were put on a taxi (or rather a tuc-tuc) to take us to the beach house. Mike also made sure, everything was ok during our stay. Thanks a lot to Mike!!
We enjoyed our stay at Blue Bayou Beach House very much, and we actually extended with it another 2 nights. There are lots of things to do on Utila. Definitely a place to return to...."
