  • Perfect!!

"We have been to Roatan several times and stayed at Infinity Bay Resort each time. Your condo fits our needs perfectly. We love being on the ground floor, and the location within the resort was perfect for us because it was far enough away from the Palapa Bar that we weren't bothered by the music and pool noise in the evenings. The condo itself is beautiful and very well equipped with everything we needed. Thanks again for allowing us the opportunity of renting your beautiful place."

  • Beautiful, peaceful villa on Roatan's south side.

"Balsam Rock is a beautiful house with lovely views of the ocean. Our group stayed for 2 weeks total, with some of the group arriving later after staying in Copan or Guanaja. The on site manager Jorge was exceedingly helpful and his wife Berta made us an excellent local breakfast one morning. Everything was clean and the house was well supplied for cooking. Due a problem with the pump, the plunge pool water could not be changed (the pump had to be fixed on the mainland) so the second week the pool was a bit cloudy but Jorge kept it swimmable for us. The balconies are really lovely - and there is plenty of space even for a large group to stretch out so some can read while others chat and everyone has their space. The house is located away from any commercial area which we felt was an asset. Day trips were followed by evenings at the house. The first week smaller group did most of their own cooking and when 14 of us were there in week 2, we opted to have Stephanie and James of Roatan Sun Splash Tours do most of our evening meals. We also scheduled several day trips with them - and everything was top notch. The lowest level room (really an apartment with 2 double beds in the bedroom) was a bit musty when we first opened it but that abated as the rooms were aired out. The stairways do not all have handrails, so anyone with mobility issues or with toddlers in the group might prefer a different setting. Snorkeling in front of the house was OK but not spectacular. Snorkeling on Pigeon Cay, however, was truly fabulous, so plans day trip there if you like to snorkel. Overall Balsam Rock was a great place for a group of adults and would be fine for families with older kids. Our group thinks that the place is more suited to 10 adults than to 14 even though there is bed space for 14 if people don't mind 4 in a room with the 2 double beds."

  • Nice tropical place to visit

"We just got back. The condo was very nice to stay in. The kitchen was capable to cook up meals (bring your own spices, sugar and salt; nothing is there) , the bed was very comfortable, the internet was quick, the resort was nice. If you are going to do a lot of cooking take a taxi to the Aldons ($30) to get stocked up. If your just going to do the basics the strip mall grocery store within walking distance will suffice. (just don't buy the pudding it was spoiled) The store also has a nice breakfast, was kind of interesting eating breakfast in the middle of a grocery store. We bought bread, peanut butter, jelly, pop, liquor and snacks from them. We used the dive shop at the resort for shore dives every day, $22 a dive. It was nice to be able to dive on your own and see and go on your own pace. There is two reefs, one at about 15 to 20 feet deep about 75 yards out and then about 50 yards of sand (look for flounders and rays here) and then a reef at about 30ft that goes down to about 80ft. We seen green eels, turtles, scorpion fish, lion fish (didn't have a spear), shark, starfish, lobsters and a ton of various fish including large grouper. We did not do a boat dive, we enjoyed the shore diving so much. We ate at the numerous restaurants along the beach every night. Each displays their specials on a sign as a you walk by. Happy hour from 4p to 7p everynight. There was live music or movies on the beach to keep you entertained. At the restaurant "bite on the beach" which is on the water, they have large green eels you can see while eating dinner. The best entertainment was the beautiful sunsets every night. Talking about food, "banana donut", is a saying every visitor will recognize, he was even at the airport when we were leaving. The pool was nice to lay around during the day, so was the beach, don't forget the sunscreen. The bugs never bothered us. The shuttle from the airport and back was a nice option. We only ate breakfast one day at the resort. It was good but expensive. We took several walks in the area, hilly and hot but very nice views. Most of the time the beach was quite quiet and relaxing. It got busy a few days for a few hours when the cruise passengers showed up but it was not overwhelming. The evenings were always quiet. We would stay here again. This beach area ranks up at the top of my list, especially if you like to shore dive."

  • Wow! Can't Wait to Return!

"The property is exactly as described (maybe a bit better) and John is an amazing host. He picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, acted as our personal well-informed tour guide, set-up fishing and snorkeling excursions, and generally took great care of us all week. He even made the most amazing lunch for us from our fishing catch! I went on a few dives with Coconut Tree Divers that were excellent while we were there, but I didn't see anything better than what we saw on the reef right in front of the condo. The description mentions you will have use of a kayak, but what makes it so wonderful is that it has an anchor!! Miles and miles of pristine coral right in front of the condo and you can explore all of it!! I'm pretty sure that's exactly what heaven is like. Can't wait to come back! Thanks John and Sue!"
