Taca airlines operate direct flights from both Miami and Houston to Roatan and offer connecting flights from Los Angeles, New Orleans and San Francisco. Once on the islands, it is easy to walk, cycle or use a local taxi or boat service to get around.

Roatan is a picturesque and unspoiled island with a hilly interior covered with lush greenery. The main beaches are West Bay beach rentals with its white coral sand beach, Camp Bay and Paya Bay. Roatan is known as a world-class diving destination and the reefs, the second largest after the Great Barrier Reef, are protected as a national treasure. Weather and Climate in Honduras

The weather on the Bay Islands is different to that on mainland Honduras. The islands enjoy tropical sunny days with heavy rain showers at times. The wettest months are September, October, January and February. The islands’ high season is from February to April when visitors escape from the cold winter temperatures further north. The average water temperature is a balmy 29 C which is 84 F.
