  • Great condo at Infinity Bay

"As a returning guest to Infinity Bay, I really enjoyed bringing my parents to Infinity Bay and Allen's condo. Location within the resort was wonderful, and the deck/patio is really huge compared to many others in the complex. This gave us a lovely view of the pool and beach, and allowed us to be outdoors even when we had some rain. I had initially had some minor concern about location & noise from the nearby bar, but Allen was right - the unit was well insulated from any noise, and when there was live music it was nice to sit out on the balcony and enjoy it. Another enjoyable activity on the deck was watching the hummingbirds visit a small saucer of sugar water we put out to attract them. We also appreciated the property having a generator, as a few times we noticed the power go out and then the generator kick on, leaving us with ability to operate things normally. Transfers from airpor to Infinity worked flawlessly, and it was nice having the elevator handy to get our luggage (and often ourselves!) up/down. Lastly, don't miss the Sunday Brunch special - eggs benedict and/or cheese pizza for $5 at the outdoor Palapa restaurant - both were delicious and an amazing value."

  • Fun getaway

"This condo is beautiful and very comfortable. It was perfect for our stay and very quiet. We only slept and showered there so we liked that this condo was tucked away near the back of the property. Being on the second floor, we could also keep the blinds open the whole time without anyone seeing in, unlike any of the properties on the lower levels or near the pool. We also found a little pathway, out back, that led to all the little eateries, away from the beach, owned by expats. You have to try the little Thai restaurant "Nice and Spicy". There is also a little market, near there, for beer, water, chips, etc. For pizza, you have to try Pizzerama. It is located within the Bananarama resort next door. It is awesome. We often took a water taxi to West End beach for lunch or dinner, as well. The "Rotisserie" was delicious for chicken and you have to try the fish balls at the "Lighthouse" restaurant. Raymond was our favorite water taxi driver. Ask for him if you can. Very important note: bring lots of $1, $5 and $10 bills. Make sure they are in excellent condition, no rips. They can NOT take any money which is torn. Also, the children love American bubble gum, so that is always fun to have for trade. As for dates of travel, I preferred the quiet time which started after Easter sunday. The Honduran mainlanders come to Roatan for their holiday the week, ending Easter sunday. It is one gigantic island party. Fun for a day but really loved the calmness afterwords. The scuba diving is awesome and snorkeling from the beach was well worth renting snorkel gear, the entire time. We even used a sea kayak and paddled to the end and then snorkeled all the way back, towing the kayak behind. So fun. For quick fun on the way back to the airport, check out the Iguana Farm. A little past the airport but worth the extra drive. Tiny little place with thousands of iguanas. You can feed them and touch them all you want. Roatan is a pretty place to visit. Infinity Bay resort is beautiful. Love the towel service too. Thanks for everything."

  • Wonderful!

"Our family of eight had a wonderful vacation at Fuego Del Mar. We felt like the rich and famous! The home is incredible. The pool is beyond words. We thought it was much larger in person than we anticipated from the pictures. There were several floats available. The small outside fridge held plenty of beverages. The bathroom off of the deck was convenient. We loved having the kayaks to use. Everyday we went snorkeling on the reef - about a 10 minute kayak trip. Beautiful reefs so close. The house itself is amazing. The dining room is awesome. We all thought our beds were comfortable. The decor of the house is cool. There is a true attention to detail throughout the home. We used Rosa to cook for us every evening. They were the best meals ever. We all highly recommend the shrimp masala. One day she grilled lobster for us that we bought from a man off the dock. Very fresh! The gift shop was super. Mostly pottery type items made by locals and the very talented owner, Nikki! We were pleased to help the local economy and have a couple of quality items as momentos. The staff was so attentive - candles lit every night, help bringing up groceries from the car, setting the kayaks in the water, and the list goes on. Everything about this trip was memorable. We thank the staff and Phil for making this a perfect family vacation. The only caveat is the location. You will be in walking distance of nothing. A couple of times our 20 something kids got a bit antsy and had the driver take them into town. Most of us were totally content to take in the view and lounge by the pool for the entire week. Highly recommend Fuego del Mar. Great home and great service from beginning to end!"

  • Fantastic Trip

"Just came back from a 10 day trip to Roatan. The accommodations that Patrice and Claire offer are top notch. The IB facility met all of our needs and expectations. I would highly recommend this location. There were no surprises with the accommodations, and the owners were extremely forthcoming with information to enhance our stay. I look forward to my next visit."
