  • Great Condo!

"This was our first stay at Infinity Bay. Tony's condo is perfect! The condo is far enough from the pool so there wasn't a lot of noise. It's a very short walk to the beach from the condo. I would definitely recommend Tony's condo, he always answered any questions we had, and was quick to respond to emails. The condo is exactly like the pictures, and there are enough kitchen utensils to cook about anything you would like. The only recommendation I would give to the unit is to add some tongs to the kitchen utensils. The snorkeling right in front of Infinity Bay is amazing! It's is the best snorkeling we found on the island. We did rent a car for 2 days so we explored parts of the island. In my opinion, I thought Infinity Bay had the clearest water and the best snorkeling which is one of the things my husband and I look for on a vacation. We did 2 shore dives with Infinity Bay, and the staff at the dive shop were very helpful. Thank you Jose for finding our camera!! I hope to stay at Tony's condo again in 2015! This place is amazing if you like to snorkel, and there are plenty of other restaurants and bars within walking distance along the beach."

  • Fabulous Place, Great Location, Friendly Hosts!

"We had a fabulous vacation in Roatan and staying at the Mangrove Dock Penthouse was a big reason why. Hosts Jackie and Peter were so friendly and welcoming, as well as helpful and attentive whenever we asked any questions. Peter offered to take us out fishing on our first day, in which I definitely would have joined had it not been for the fact we were all in Roatan for a wedding. The rooftop deck had unbelievable views, as well as the main balcony. The showers and rooms were spacious and the main areas had a home-like feel to it. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The biggest benefit though was the cool breezes that we constantly were getting by being on the top level. In a hot and humid destination, this was huge. Using the AC would have been an added cost, but we didn't need it thanks to the breezes. We had incredible views of the sunrise and sunsets. The foot pool at the rooftop deck was refreshing to step into after walking around West End. And for anyone who wanted to take a quick swim, there is a nice pool on the premises to cool off in. So everything was great, the only drawback (and why I marked 4 stars instead of 5) being that our fridge didn't have the right temperature on the last 2 days of our week long stay. It could not get cold. A minor issue in the midst of many positives. I would not hesitate to stay at Mangrove Dock again!"

  • This one's "just right!"

"This was our second stay at Infinity Bay, and first at this wonderful condo! A spacious layout in a perfect location with views of the pool and ocean...not too far from the beach, not too close to the bar / music for it to be too loud. Did we mention the "comfy king size bed", 2 balconies, and 2 baths both with showers! We enjoyed the full kitchen as an option to dining out everyday. The dryer was great to, well, dry things out and warm them up before our next snorkel in the aquarium just a few steps to the beach! Dana, the owner, was informative, relaxed, a pleasure to deal with, and made "the arrangements" effortless. All in all..just perfect! We look forward to our next visit to Roatan / Infinity Bay and will definitely be staying at VRBO rental #237222"

  • The best place to stay in Roatan

"This was our first trip to Roatan but definitely will not be our last. It always it a great feeling when you select a place to stay from the internet and then when you arrive, it is even better than you imagined! That was the case when we arrived at infinity Bay. As we drove up to the property, we knew we had found the perfect resort. After checking in and following the young man assisting us with our luggage, it just kept getting better. Our room was overlooking the pool and we had an ocean view from the balcony. The unit is so spacious and has everything you might need We had a great internet connection and were able to keep in touch with friends and family in Texas through email and Facebook. The kitchen has all full size appliances and granite counters. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have the safe in the master closet for keeping valuables. The bathrooms were very pretty with beautiful tile showers. Sitting on the balconies was so relaxing. The front balcony overlooks the pool and you can see the beach. The balcony off the master is private and a perfect spot to read and drink your morning coffee. We did rent a car on this trip, but it is definitely not necessary. When we return, we will just use the shuttle service and local taxis to get around. My favorite part of staying at Infinity Bay was the accessibility to bars and restaurants and the ocean. This is the most beautiful 1/2 mile stretch of white sand. It was like paradise walking down the beach barefoot to eat dinner each night! Each night we ate somewhere different and each time thought the food was great. We ate at the Bananarama, Foster's, a pizza place, Beachers, and our favorite Argentinian Grill on the last night. The waiters are top notch and only want to please you. Most evenings we ended up back at the Infinity Bay bar for a Monkey LaLa and enjoyed live music or fire dancers. The ocean was breathtaking and just steps from the room. My husband and daughter went down for coffee each morning at the beach bar and the last morning we all enjoyed breakfast just feet from the beautiful water. We played on the beach and snorkeled and just enjoyed the peacefulness of West Bay. We even saw the "Banana Donut" man and enjoyed several of his delicious donuts! We are already planning our next trip back and would love to stay at Allen's unit again."

Honduras Travel Tips

Seasons to Visit Honduras Vacation Rentals

The climate in Honduras varies in the different regions. While it is generally tropical, the weather is cooler and more temperate in the higher mountain regions. Generally, you can wear lightweight cotton clothing all year long. You will need a good rain jacket especially if you are traveling in the wet season. Make sure that you also have one or two warmer items of clothing if you plan to visit the highlands. Typically, the wet season is from May to October. Tropical storms have been known to blow across from the Caribbean, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. The north coast is one of the most popular tourist regions; however, temperatures can get very hot and visitors are advised to use plenty of sunscreen and wear hats. The most popular travel season is during the drier months which are from November through April.

Activities and Attractions near Honduras Villas

Tegusigalpa has a beautiful historic city center. Colonial architecture can be seen in a number of the ancient buildings. Just outside of the city on one of the hilltops is a relatively new monument known as the Christ of the Picacho. From the monument site, you can enjoy great views out over the city. Another city that has well-preserved colonial architecture is the former capital of Honduras, the city of Comayaguan. Here you can roam the cobbled streets, visit the town plazas and see the quaint white-washed houses. Each year for Easter, there is a week-long celebration that is full of cultural festivities. If you have an interest in the ancient Mayan culture, one place you must visit is Copan. The Copan Ruins Archeological Park houses some impressive structures which give testament to the advancement of the Mayan culture. There is an Acropolis, the Court of the Heiroglyphic Stairway, and the Great Plaza.

There are several national parks and wildlife reserves where you can hike nature trails or join a guided overland tour. Canopy tours through the rainforest are quite popular. There are also various boat trips or kayaking excursions that can be enjoyed down the country's major rivers. There are also caves to go exploring. The beaches in Honduras are legendary and the Bay Islands are a tropical paradise. The coral reefs off the Bay Islands offer excellent scuba diving and snorkeling.

Getting to Honduras Beach Houses

Honduras is located in Central America just to the north of Nicaragua and east of Guatemala. The capital city Tegucigalpa is located in the southern region of the country. The nation's main airport is located just three miles to the southeast of Tegucigalpa. There are daily scheduled flights that operate to Miami in the U.S. For travelers staying in other parts of North America and Europe, your best flight options will be to get a connection via Miami. The airport is served by buses and taxis which can take you in to the city center. If you will be visiting the coastal regions, you can get a connecting domestic flight as this is the most convenient way to travel around the country. Roatan has a cruise ship port and many visitors arrive in the country here.
