"Me and a friend stayed at Margaret's house for 10 days in March.
First of all, it's a really nice and clean house! Everything we needed was there, and then some more. The open kitchen is amazing and so is the outdoor living room. The rooms are big and the beds comfortable. With the fans and the AC it's not too warm at night. So, as far as the house is concerned, everything was perfect.
Then there's the location!!! The beach is close, really close... Like 20 seconds walk close... It's not a big beach at all. It's quite small and there's not much to do. Only 2 little restaurants/bars and a surf rental place. But, that is exactly what we were looking for so it was perfect for us. Not a lot a people during the week days (mostly other tourists coming from San Juan for the day to learn how to surf... They are usually gone by 5pm and then the beach gets really quiet for the night). We noticed that there was a lot more people during the weekends but maybe it was just a coincidence (and by a lot more people I mean 25 people max)! The water is perfect if you want to learn how to surf... The waves are not to big but not small either. We've met some really nice local kids who were more than happy to give us some tips!
And as for the owners and the housekeepers they were all REALLY nice and accommodating. We got to see Margaret pretty much everyday. She answered all of our questions and was really helpful. I made a mistake when I first made the reservation and she was really accommodating and nice about it. As for Francisco and Flor, they are really nice as well. They helped us make local calls and they were there every time we needed something.
The only downside is that the house is a bit far from the city (15 minutes cab ride, about $15 one way). But as I said earlier we were there to enjoy a quiet and warm beach, so we didn't really go to San Juan that often. If you want to visit the area and go out to San Juan often, I definitely suggest renting a car.
If you are worried about the weather you can stop right now. It was sunny and +35 everyday. A bit windy at times but it's a good thing because if not it would be almost too warm (if there's such a thing!).
Thanks for a great vacation!!!"

"I had a wonderful vacation experience in Nicaragua due in no small part to Tamara and this beautiful villa. Upon arrival the security guard greeted me by name making me feel comfortable immediately. I met the rest of the staff including Nellie who provided the best maid service I have had to date on vacation. The villa itself sits in a beautiful natural preserve on a mountainside that surrounds a large lake. It is quite simply the most beautiful setting I have ever had the pleasure to stay for an extended period of time. As someone who appreciates the environment and cares about our role in preserving it, I was blown away by the beauty and maintenance of the Laguna de Apoyo region. And it also felt like I was dropped into a scene from National Geographic stepping out on my bedroom balcony and watching the monkeys playing in the trees. Just a wonderful experience that you will not get on your average vacation.
My party enjoyed the villa and Laguna de Apoyo area so much that we did not feel the need to rush out of the house each day for activities. We enjoyed the infinity pool, sipping on drinks in beach chairs, resting in the hammocks and good conversation until dusk. Once it started to get dark we made plans to go out for dinner, drinks and fun.
Laguna de Apoyo is close to Masaya and Granada where we were able to enjoy good food at cheap prices and meet good people in the evenings.
Tamara was extremely helpful and highly responsive to all of my inquiries before and during the trip. If you are on the fence about going to Nicaragua or booking this villa, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this unique experience."

"Villa Noche is all-around amazing. Every morning the entire house is opened up for you, which allowed the coastal breeze to blow freely through while you walked along an unobstructed view of the ocean and mountains from the cliffside. Breathtaking doesn’t even begin to describe it.
The pace of life and scenery of San Juan del Sur is just what is needed to be completely relaxed after many long weeks of work. Awesome surf, local restaurants and perfect place for a seafood fan. I will never forget the epic mountain views, the chirping geckos and two parrots that greet you in the driveway of the house.
This trip was even more than memorable. Special mention to the staff, who were extremely polite, always helpful and made the trip perfect. The food they prepared was delicious. I cannot say enough good things and have nothing negative to say. There is something truly special here and the experience is definitely one of a kind."

"Our goal was to find a nice place to stay that was close to good surf; Casa la Selva, with all it’s good reviews, seemed to be just that place.
Excellent choice! We spent 7 days there in August 2015, and our every expectation was exceeded.
The accommodations are top-notch; a lot of little details that didn’t matter in our younger days are so much appreciated now. Things like comfortable beds and couches, ceiling fans, air conditioning, the deck and outdoor furniture, the amazing pool, and everything is so clean!
The staff also deserves high praise; not only did they meet our every whim, but they were thankful for the opportunity, which really made us feel welcome. We opted for the food plan, which I highly recommend; home cooked, fresh and healthy meals really added to the care-free nature of our stay.
The location of the property is perfect; we felt completely safe within the Iguana community, the beach is steps away and gorgeous, and the surf is groomed by offshore winds all day and was good to great the whole time.
If you are looking to Nicaragua for your next adventure, and want to travel with the peace of mind that someone is looking out for you, then you really can’t do better than Casa la Selva."
