A Surfer's Paradise ... and a Beautiful, Simple Home
"We LOVED Casa Maderas y Olas!! We stayed there for 1 month during July of 2014, and found it to be very clean, simple, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the hard wood floors that kept sand to a minimum and cleaning a breeze. The washer was nice to have since we didn't bring much with us and needed to keep our clothes clean also.
The king size beds were comfy and we liked that the two bedrooms were on opposite ends of the house for privacy. The large balcony overlooking the trees was a great place to relax after surfing, and the hammocks were awesome! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out!
The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies for cooking, so we were able to save a lot of money cooking at home. Conveniently located only 20min from San Juan Del Sur, we enjoyed going into town for groceries and nightlife when the mood struck, as well as walking to our favorite pizza place- Munchies Bluues, which has the BEST pizza and atmosphere in Nica!
For surfers, the location is perfect. Very close to Playa Maderas, offering waves for all levels of surfing, and very consistent surf. Small eateries are also there, so it was nice to grab some snacks and drinks after a great session.
Overall, it was one of the best places we've stayed in our travels throughout Central America, and we can't wait to come back again soon ! Tony (property manager) was very helpful, answering any questions we had and making sure we were comfortable, and the caretaker that lived on property was VERY nice and helpful also. He even let us share his power outlet to charge our computers, as well as store our cold items in his refrigerator when the power went out occasionally (very common in Nicaragua).
Excellent surf within walking distance... a comfy and beautiful home to relax in... in a welcoming and safe country. Who could ask for more?!!
Casa Maderas y Olas?? We loved it!"

"This vacation was awesome. We loved staying at the Pacific Surf House. The house has great views, an amazing infinity pool, fast internet connection and great sitting area where relax and chat with friends. Roger is super helpful, we had a problem with the TV and the same day he came with a new Smart TV. Gladys and Leo are friendly, discrete and hard working. Rancho Santana is one of the best gated community I've seen all these years I've been living in Nicaragua. It has two clubhouses with swimming pool by the ocean, restaurants, 5 different beaches, several surf spots, a small market, horse riding and tennis court. We will definitely come back again!"

"Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Casa Suenos. The house was perfect for our family and friends group of 7 (with room to spare), appointed thoughtfully with all the comforts for a relaxed beach retreat. Janelle was pleasure to work with and was extremely helpful: from the food shop, to baking a cake and providing a pinata for our 3 year old's birthday bash to helping with our lost baggage. Eveline (the house keeper) was a real treat and a great cook. These guys have built a amazing house in a phenomenal setting and taken the extra steps to make a perfect vacation retreat for those lucky enough to visit."

"We brought a group on mission trip here after working hard in northern Nica. We wanted something away from the crazy and different from normal tourist visits. We found it here! Our group did surfing, horseback riding, spearfishing, and a trip into San Juan del Sur. We had Theresa cook for us. It was really an awesome experience and the owners were very welcoming and helpful to us! Take them seriously on the directions and difficulty driving in, especially if you possibly may arrive at night. I failed to review the directions and just went off GPS. We wasted an hour in paradise. We hope to return for mission trips in the future!"
