"The condo is great. The location is even greater. Stayed here with my girlfriend. Perfect place for couples whether they surf or not. Proximity to waves means more time spent with significant others (rather than driving all over). You must try the fish tacos at Pili's. The best I've ever had 🐟. We will definitely be back!"

"My husband and I spent 4 days at La Alcoba in Granada. Overall it was a great experience. The breakfast at the adjoining Garden Cafe was fantastic! Really fresh food with great menu choices. The staff were friendly and the cafe was very quaint and clean. The center courtyard was relaxing to just sit and drink some excellent Nicaraguan coffee.
The room itself is very large with high, wooden ceilings. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker with complimentary coffee....we used it every morning! Although the room is not air-conditioned, there are ceiling fans and the air circulation kept the place cool. Also, there was no hot water in the shower....again...not an issue as the water was never really "cold" and with the heat, you were refreshed to have a cool shower!
The only negative I have to note has to do with the location. It was both a blessing and a curse. It is very close to the Central Park of the city as well as the main thoroughfare....but because of that, it was noisy. There were cars, motorcycles, people, horse drawn carts going through the streets into the night. We tend to rise early and go to bed early so the level of activity right outside our door made this a bit challenging!
So overall an excellent choice for anyone wanting to check out all that Granada and the surrounding area has to offer."

"My boyfriend and I stayed at Hacienda Pura Vista for a second time in February (first stay in 2013)--we weren't sure if it could get any better than the first time, but we were wrong! The hospitality of Chuck, Rosa, and Lefty cannot be beat. Fabulous views, and exceptional launching point for the nearby beaches. The house itself is very clean and stays cool throughout the hot days. Chuck guided us in the right direction in terms of restaurants/things to do both around the house, and also in the heart of SJDS. Hacienda Pura Vista has a special place in our hearts. HIGHLY recommended to all!"

"We had such a wonderful four days at Casa Sonrisas! The house is very well equipped and provided more than enough space for my husband and I, our two kids, and their two friends. We were warmly welcomed by Danilo, who overlooks the property. He also stopped by each day to make sure we had everything we needed. He took time out of his day Thursday to give us a walking tour of Granada. We had bought some pitahaya (sp?) fruit at the local market and Carmen made fresh juice for us. We also hired Carmen to cook for us on Friday night. We invited some friends from Managua and she made an absolutely delicious Nicaraguan meal for 12 of us. Her nominal fee included all prep, cooking, and clean up. It was definitely worth it.
The house is very well furnished and decorated. Beds are comfortable. Two things to note, however, for travelers who have not been to Nica. Granada is a busy town, and houses are right on the street. Windows and doors are literally against the sidewalk so nights can be noisy. Casa Sonrisas is one block off the busiest street where are the restaurants are located, so it's not as noisy as some locations but you will still have some street noise. We considered it part of the experience. Each door and window have locked gates over them and the garden wall is probably 12 feet with razor wire on top so we felt completely safe with our kids there.
We loved Casa Sonrisas and if our travels bring us back to Granada, we would choose to stay there again!"
