  • Perfect Family Reunion!

"You know when vacation feels like vacation ... Then you instantly know you made right choice!! We couldn't have picked a better place to spend time with family and have a family reunion. The time spent in this home was spectacular. The views were amazing and breathtaking. The pool, the hammocks, the house were all sssssooo perfect! Originally it was only going to be 11 of us but we ended up taking 15 people. The more the merrier! And the best thing is that this house is so perfectly arranged that it didn't feel that all 15 of us were there. Bill was very quick to respond to my emails. We didn't get to meet Grace or Sergio during our stay but the security guards on the property answered all our questions and were beyond friendly. We stayed up past midnight all the nights and we would see the guard constantly walking around and checking. The kitchen is fully equipped. We were not missing anything. The supermarket as well as quite a few restaurants are about a 5 min drive away. Great food in the beachside restaurants. You are also a short walk/hike (for those of us out of shape!) to Aqua Wellness resort. The restaurant there was amazing! They even deliver up to the house! There are also plenty of activities to do both at the resort and in town. The secluded beach was very beautiful. We had some choppy water and could not enjoy it to its fullest but our kids were more than happy to jump back in the pool! The house was very very clean! The TV in the living room area is a Smart TV and the kids enjoyed Netflix while the adults enjoyed the balcony with some drinks. The top balcony was perfect to catch some sun, do some reading and provide an even better view of Bahia Gigante! The ocean sounds were so relaxing all day and all night! We are definitely going back next year!"

  • Villa Oro Vacation

"My boyfriend, daughter and I stayed at Villa Oro for a week in Nica. We had an amazing time. The home was better in person. We arrived at the house and it was very clean. The owner was very helpful at answering every question I had about the home and our surroundings. The home is beautiful and the people are so kind. The location of the house is not even ten minutes from the downtown area. We had privacy and didn't feel bothered at all.. I've been home for about a week now and all I keep thinking about is being there. I would definitely consider going back tomorrow. Villa Oro allowed us to have an amazing/memorable vacation. Till next year!!!"

  • Delightful stay at casa Ezulwini

"After a stressful period we needed a break and were fortunate to find it in ideal settings at casa Ezulwini. As a hideaway it is perfect yet we never felt isolated, thanks to the excellent organization of the resort. However the Pacific ocean is the closest neighbor roaring on the rocks under the house, hosting the most beautiful sunsets that we saw comfortably seated on the terrace and bathing the fairy tale beach where we regularly went swimming snorkeling or kayaking. We immediately felt confortable in Casa Ezulwini a roomy colonial style house with all desired comfort, above the Pacific just high enough to feel protected. A sort of pirate home decorated with refined local art. We were there in mid November, clear blue sky with the occasional short rainfalls as the rainy season had just finished. Mapping the stars in pristine nights was an endless pleasure. We admired the luxuriant green nature in a real tropical climate where for instance reading in the cool pool over the Pacific really was a relaxing delight. The beach restaurant at Redonda Bay deserves attention. It has always been perfectly up to expectations, for example we had a delicious beef filet with real tasty garden vegetables. Leisure, ocean activities and enjoying the quietness are not the only option. We were fortunate to see Granada, Ometepe islands, one of the world sanctuaries, Masaya and saw the mouth of an active volcano. But Nicaragua is also its people. The country has a strong identity stemming from its history and a government seeking a national consensus associating enterprises and societal values to progress. There, foreign enterprises as well as tourists have a role to play, if only by supporting the locals, for instance Octavio, the local guide is really interesting and resourceful."

  • So Great!

"Just loved this place and Nicaragua as a whole. We're huge fans of C. Rica (and always will be) but this little piece of Nica paradise was perfect for us. Owner Mark and manager Buzz were the best - everything EXACTLY as promised. My teens' reaction upon seeing the beautiful condo, killer view, big screen TV and WiFi service better than our home? "Mom - you gotta find us more places like this for vacations!" It only got better with Pili's excellent food at the cafe and Esteban's killer pina coladas/smoothies. Ricki and Jarvin rounded out the excellent service at our small but oh so perfect cafe/bar/pool a stone's throw from the condo's back porch. Hubby couldn't decide whether to golf first and then surf or vice versa. Did plenty of both - the 9 hole course is beautifully maintained and you MUST tee off the blues on hole 7 - the view is the best of most golf courses short of the big famous ones. Didn't take advantage of so much that we could have - fishing, fresh seafood delivered to our door (well, who was I to compete with Pili's cooking?), pangas to other surf spots.... but we had to save something for next trip! Carolina cleaned the condo for 3 - 4 hours every other day and washed, dried and folded our clothes. Maxi Pali grocery store in Rivas has all supplies necessary for self-sufficiency. Road is paved almost to Playa Gigante turnoff - 1/4 mile of progress every week! Massage by Miriam - in the condo - heaven. Buzz will arrange. The breeze was consistent and wonderful - way fewer bugs than at our family farm in Kansas. Sadly, the ongoing drought in Nica made for great weather for our stay, but everything is still very, very lush compared to our home in SoCal. Loved the howler monkeys we heard every night and every morning in the hills to the south of the river - and one little guy who visited one day in the tree next to the condo. Incredibly brilliant blue and orange crabs in hundreds of holes under the trees. Bird sounds that we miss very much. And the beach - our very own. My teens spent hours body surfing, collecting shells, exploring tide pools at south end of the beach. Never, ever saw more than 5 people there at one time. Even in front of the break, a huge crowd was maybe 12 people on the beach. Based on our observations of the level of activity EVERYwhere in Nica, this kind of private paradise will fast disappear. We will be back soon!"
