"Casa Colina is beautiful and well maintained-- has all the comforts from home. 7 of us adults fit comfortably, the loft space was a bit hot so the guys ended up sleeping in the living room which gets a nice breeze at night. The view is breath taking at all times of the day, but is especially cool at night when the town is lit up. As expected in Nica- the electricity did go out twice during our week stay, but that is no reflection on the home itself. even though the pool is quite small, it was such a luxury to have one after walking up the hill to get home. We all got massages at the house, which was incredible! Highly recommend doing that! Catalina is the best ever. Can't say enough good things about her! She is so helpful and brought us a ton of laughs and fun times. I highly reccomend staying at casa Colina if your considering staying in SJDS."

Awesome for hardcore surfers and peeps looking to relax.
"The condo is perfect. Top floor helps keep the bugs away. Pool table, TV with satellite and DVD. Maid cleans the place every other day. Rooms are huge. Bathrooms are super nice. Food at the local restaurant is great. The wave at colorado can be brutal. Bring a golf wedge to practice chipping at the private chipping hole."

Best Trip Ever - Highly Recommended - Casa De Mono
"Where do I start? First of all, I've traveled through Central America, South America and some of Europe. I always said I wanted to retire in Costa Rica (Costa Rica was my first trip internationally) but I think Nicaragua has really moved up the charts. Not only was the experience in Nicaragua the best but Casa De Mono was amazing. The owners of the home are awesome. We were in full communication throughout the entire trip along with the amazing team at Remax - San Juan Del Sur - Gabby and Nicole. Can't forget to mention the awesome hook up Remax team connected us with - Tour Guide Francisco Cárcamo drove us for the day to explore Lake Nicaragua and Granada, was the best idea ever! We fed monkeys straight from the boat. They came out of the tree and took the food right out of our hands. The beaches were awesome and so close. Super easy to get around the town after a few days of driving. Safety was a huge concern prior to arriving but I have to say I have never felt safer. There is so much more to elaborate on but not enough space.
Now to the specifics on accommodations at Casa De Mono. The home has everything you need. Of course you would need to stop off at the local market to get a few items but honestly you get a few things during the tour with Remax once you get there and then go back for more. The beds are super cozy. The sheets/towels are clean. If you need to wash during the week; the home has a washer and dryer. It's awesome. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT BRING ALOT OF CLOTHES. You need a few bathing suits and a couple outfits. Otherwise you are in your bathing suit the entire time and flip flops. Tennies incase you want to hike down to the beach.
One thing to remember when you arrive don't get freaked out on the drive to the home; it's about a 20 minute from San Juan del Sur - Remax will escort you to the home. You drive through the small towns and bumping roads but once you get up to the home and walk through the doors you are in paradise. I promise you; you will not be disappointed for one minute.
I highly recommend this property for a couple or a small family (Kids under 5 probably wouldn't be a good idea only because there isn't a gate around the pool) or even a girls trip. I loved my trip with my sister and we plan on heading back again really soon. Thanks again to Carol, Dave and Ed for accommodating the IWG. Thanks for the great memories."

"This was a fantastic week! Absolutely magical, for my kids who didn't surf they had a blast as the beaches are empty and safe and the pool and smoothies were so accessible. I loved the surf, it was too advanced for my boys and that's something to consider as it's a fast, world-class tube ride on sand. We loved our excursion to the volcano and Granada, but the zipline was wimpy there and I wouldn't recommend it. I've been to Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Hondorus and by far this is where I want to come back. We never felt unsafe and met some great people from around the world. The new ice cream shop by the entrance is fantastic."
