"My boyfriend and I stayed at Hacienda Pura Vista for a second time in February (first stay in 2013)--we weren't sure if it could get any better than the first time, but we were wrong! The hospitality of Chuck, Rosa, and Lefty cannot be beat. Fabulous views, and exceptional launching point for the nearby beaches. The house itself is very clean and stays cool throughout the hot days. Chuck guided us in the right direction in terms of restaurants/things to do both around the house, and also in the heart of SJDS. Hacienda Pura Vista has a special place in our hearts. HIGHLY recommended to all!"

"We had a great 2-day escape and stayed at this property which is located at the Blue Marlin Vacation Development. It is located on the mountain top just behind the Christ overlooking to Nacascolo Bay (North). It has all you would need for a vacation, very well equipped and kept. Includes housekeeping. Being away from the coast line, the pool is great for the kids as parents delight on the sunset. Great location to go out and explore San Juan del Sur and the adjacent beaches."

"Casa Colina is beautiful and well maintained-- has all the comforts from home. 7 of us adults fit comfortably, the loft space was a bit hot so the guys ended up sleeping in the living room which gets a nice breeze at night. The view is breath taking at all times of the day, but is especially cool at night when the town is lit up. As expected in Nica- the electricity did go out twice during our week stay, but that is no reflection on the home itself. even though the pool is quite small, it was such a luxury to have one after walking up the hill to get home. We all got massages at the house, which was incredible! Highly recommend doing that! Catalina is the best ever. Can't say enough good things about her! She is so helpful and brought us a ton of laughs and fun times. I highly reccomend staying at casa Colina if your considering staying in SJDS."

"My husband and I spent 4 days at La Alcoba in Granada. Overall it was a great experience. The breakfast at the adjoining Garden Cafe was fantastic! Really fresh food with great menu choices. The staff were friendly and the cafe was very quaint and clean. The center courtyard was relaxing to just sit and drink some excellent Nicaraguan coffee.
The room itself is very large with high, wooden ceilings. There is a mini fridge and a coffee maker with complimentary coffee....we used it every morning! Although the room is not air-conditioned, there are ceiling fans and the air circulation kept the place cool. Also, there was no hot water in the shower....again...not an issue as the water was never really "cold" and with the heat, you were refreshed to have a cool shower!
The only negative I have to note has to do with the location. It was both a blessing and a curse. It is very close to the Central Park of the city as well as the main thoroughfare....but because of that, it was noisy. There were cars, motorcycles, people, horse drawn carts going through the streets into the night. We tend to rise early and go to bed early so the level of activity right outside our door made this a bit challenging!
So overall an excellent choice for anyone wanting to check out all that Granada and the surrounding area has to offer."
