"I was a solo traveller looking for semi-solitude. And boy did i get that and much much more.
It was the first morning when i woke up to watch the sunrise, that was when i knew how magical nature can be and how sad our city life is.
The blend of the sounds of different kind of birds, monkeys, insects, leaves, water.. A music that forces you to relax
And then, You observe from the house the whole circle of life: fish swimming in the lake, catching insects on the surface as their food, then birds come and take the fish as its breakfast. And then a bigger bird comes...
The leaves falling, then it rains, and life comes back.
Beautiful! And what adds to that is how kind and fun the ppl/workers were. From the guards, housekeeper, to the yoga teacher, to random ppl i met in the street.
I wanted to be kind of isolated, and i was. And when i was bored and wanted ppl around, I went to laguna beach club(owned by same ppl and serves good smoothies/food; has kayaks etc.), i hiked an active volcano (with an amazing tour guide who speaks eng- recommended by the owners). Practiced Yoga and had a massage looking at that magical view. Fed birds, and saw lots pf monkeys.
Now about the lake, they told me it's a crater lake that's full of minerals and it heals!!! I was skeptical. But after a week of swimming in the lake and pool(the pool's water comes from the lake), gotta tell you my skin is softer, and my keratosis pilaris improved a little. (maybe because of the tan?) anyways even if it does not affect your skin it definitly affects your nervous and psychological statuses.. RELAXATION
I am a sucker for nature; and now I am in love with that house.
Simply, It makes you believe.
I would recommend this place to those looking for solitude, romance, family trips, or any fan of mothernature.
Loved loved laguna de apoyo and Casa del sol"
