"The view from the condo was beautiful! The condo was neat and clean. There was a plumbing problem while we were there, but Christine took care of it right away. The only problem we had was a barking dog across the street but you have to expect this in a residential neighborhood. The driver Vladimire was a tremendous help with the language and getting us around. We would definitely go back again someday."Guest: Linda & Ken Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: February 4, 2014View listing
"This trip was absolutely fantastic. Robert set us up with a fantastic driver Yasmil who became a good friend. The condo was everything we hoped it would be but better. The views to the north had amazing sunsets and you could wake up at dawn and check the surf without even getting dressed. The food on location at la ventana was great, the walk down to breakfast was relaxing and Melissa was so accommodating and her breakfast was fantastic. The pool bar was awesome and Harvey was the best, he made a great drink and his smile made every day all that much better. Pili was the restaurant owner in the evening and the food was excellent. Robert helped us get out of the community to Rancho Santana for a meal to remember. We went to Mag rock for a sunset that was amazing. We went to hot springs with Yasmil and his wife and La Scalle for delicious brick oven pizza. We had couples massages in our cando which were very nice with Ana Lucia and Ana Rosanna two sisters excellent at massage. We took a trip to Aqua wellness resort for the day thanks to Yasmil and had a once in a lifetime massage in the treetops. The energy at the resort was excellent, we met so many kind people from the housekeeper, to Melissa at breakfast with amazing Acai bowls, from the security personnel, to Robert and Yasmil making every component of the trip absolutely perfect. The surf was very fun and although we understood the surf was not as good this time of year, we had super fun surf that wasn't too big to put me out of my comfort level. You can tell when it's big that it holds a top notch wave about 40 yards from the balcony view. We are surely coming back next year with the rest of our family and are looking forward to seeing everyone we met once again."Guest: Edward S. "The Villa Noche is extremely beautiful! The pictures don't make justice to this place. The views are spectacular and the staff is extremely nice. We wanted to thank Jose-Antonio for his service, he is very nice, always makes sure you have everything you need and basically became our friend! Also, Memo was extremely helpful, alwayas present when you needed him and friendly as well. Claudia's dishes were absolutely delicious! We will always remember her lobsters and fish with salsa! She is the sweetest person ever! We had the best time of our life, and we will definitely be back! We recommend this for everybody!"Guest: Angie S. "Our group consisted of 2 families with 4 children ages 1-5. This home was a perfect place to stay. We were able to walk to town every day (though we often took a cab back UP the hill), and we were within close proximity of nice beaches. Having a home base with a kitchen, air-conditioned rooms, and the pool made traveling with young children fun and *somewhat* easy. Katalina, as mentioned by many, is a wonderful cook and we all adored her. We also highly recommend finding the blue jeep beach taxi (driven by Martin) to visit some of the beautiful surfing beaches. Great home in a great town."Guest: DeniseR Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: September 18, 2014View listing
Nicaragua Travel Tips
Sporting and Leisure Activities near Nicaragua Vacation Rentals
In the area around San Juan Del Sur, surfing is a popular pastime. The swells in Nicaragua are so legendary that they attract surfers from all over the world. Kite surfers and windsurfers can also enjoy the wind and waves. There are several schools along the coastline that provide equipment and lessons if you want to give these sports a try.
Fishing charters are widely available for those that enjoy deep sea and sport fishing. If you want to hook game fish such as marlin, sailfish or tuna, you will want to head out with an experienced skipper who can take you to the best fishing spots. If you prefer something a little more leisurely, a great way to spend an afternoon is on a snorkeling cruise. Sail out of the bay and anchor off one of the many reefs. Then spend the afternoon snorkeling and enjoy the colorful underwater world. If you hold a scuba diving qualification, there are several dive schools and charter companies that will be able to take you out to explore the many reefs. You can even upgrade your certification or sign up for a specialty course during your stay.
If you enjoy lush foliage and birding and don’t mind heights then a treetop canopy tour in the rainforest is a great daytime excursion. Travel between platforms on a zip line and experience a unique bird’s-eye view of your surroundings. Local outfitters are well equipped and ensure that you complete the excursion safely. Another popular way to explore the interior is on a horseback excursion.
Getting to Nicaragua Villas
One of the main points of entry into Nicaragua is Managua International Airport. The airport hosts a wide number of leading North American airlines as well as various other regional airlines. There are frequently scheduled commercial flights from most major hubs in the U.S.
Seasons to Visit Nicaragua Oceanfront Rentals
The peak travel season for surfers is between the months of May and November, when the swell conditions are at their best. Unfortunately, this is also the heavy rainy season. Showers are typically short-lived but downpours can be heavy. If traveling overland in areas where there are only dirt roads, you will need an all-terrain vehicle. In general, a tropical climate dominates which results in consistently warm temperatures all year long. A popular time for beach lovers is between the months of December and April. Nicaragua provides the perfect escape for those from the Northern Hemisphere who want to get away from icy climates for a while. This is also traditionally the windy season so you may need to hold onto your beach hat.
San Juan Del Sur Vacation Rentals in Nicaragua
San Juan Del Sur is one of the most popular beach destinations in Nicaragua. There are many stylish homes and villas that are available for rent. Many homes have magnificent views out over the bay and large open decks where you can dine in the evening or suntan during the day. Many have beautiful lush tropical gardens, complete with a few local inhabitants such as colorful parrots and monkeys. Many of the homes include a hospitality service where housekeepers will cook, clean and even do the grocery shopping for you. On request, they can also get in touch with local tour operators and arrange sightseeing excursions and transportation for you. On days when you are feeling lazy, you can head down to the beach or relax poolside. Hammocks strapped in the trees provide perfect places to finish reading your favorite book. The living areas are generally spacious and comfortably furnished. Entertainment centers are great for when you don’t feel like heading outdoors.
