This is the place you want to rent if you are going to Bocas.
"I just returned from a week long stay at Vista Azul lodge. I travelled there with my wife, five children (21 to 18 months), and in-laws. The house was exactly as advertised on the website and the beach view from the house was spectacular. Peter Kent answered emails promptly and made the rental process very efficient. I was treated with some celebrity once the local boat taxi drivers discovered I was staying at "Señor Kent's Casa"
We went scuba diving with La Buga Dive shop. Tony was our dive master and did a great job. The food there was delicious.
We took a catamaran ride with Marcelle at Bocas Sailing. Good trip but rain all day.
Most fun activity was an ATV ride with Flying Pirates up the north east coast of Isla Colon. Great fun. The proprietor the I believe is Steve who may actually be a real pirate.
Every day brought head high waves 1000 yards from the front door step
My 21 yo daughter and 18 yo son said it was the best trip ever and plan to return. My 14 yo daughter and mother in law were a little taken aback by the geckos. No regrets here."

"Jungle spares no sun or humidity. If you're in love with mother nature then you are in for a treat. Just getting there is an adventure drive. Lots of mangos, bananas, palm trees, ect. Once off the main road your in a completely different world than Panama city its self. Some locals have been there for generations. Small towns filled with life. People crossing the street as there is no tomorrow. Small stores filled with necessities. The idea of you in the middle of no where is everywhere. The road continues to get narrow. The last two left turns you make and the lonely road is all yours driving along side the mountains. Exotic birds fly before you as you look left and right grasping all greenery. Once there you will see a small baseball field type field and small houses wondering how in the world can you live in such secluded place where only birds and the bees care to roam. Once in the house, very nice well taken care of place. Everything you need except hot water. Pay no mind to no hot water. No need. It's hot and humid. Bats will fly around. A little larger than we are use to. Pay no mind there either. They are the masters of the night sky. The local parrots will sure to wake you around 530am. You will see fairly large lizards and iguanas from tree to tree. Take a camera. Memory sometimes forgets the that you see so much nature in every way. I counted 10 moth speices...one gecko with a chuncky tail, kinda beige. Countless birds. Butterflies so beautiful, you would want to become one. I can't thank Ed (host) for the opportunity like this. Yadira the care taker introduced me to her family and I'm speachless for her and their generosity. The river in which it is on is abundance of life. My 3 day stay does not give me the right to opinion on how this one small town in the middle of nowhere got me to see the bigger picture in a smaller world. Im going back for more asap!!!"

"When we were thinking of a vacation somewhere not so hot in July, Panama was not at the top the list, now it is thanks to the beautiful and peacefully charm of Valle Escondido. The accommodations were first class and when the homeowner gave us great information of what to do, she forgot to say "Maybe you just might want to sit out on covered lanai in a pleasant 78 degrees with the sounds of running waterfalls and enjoy the chirping birds" because we did that alot also. The restaurant at the Country Club with Master Chef Chris was also a fantastic surprise. Normally you think of Country Club food as bland and tasteless, but here it is anything like that. We ate at least one meal a day there, and each was better than other. The Golf Course was short, but in perfect shape and very difficult. Outside lanai the hole is 138 yards long, with the only thing separating the very elevated tee and green is the running river, whose noise we so enjoyed, along with watching the other golfers shot their balls into the river. 10 minute walk to town, perfect weather and great accommodations make this one of our favorites places yet on VRBO and we have stayed at many. "To begin, we were happily greeted by a very nice couple at the airport. They took us by car to get our golf cart rental, which we highly recommend renting while staying at Casa K. We loved it! Great for exploring! From there they let us follow them to the house. Be sure to wear your seatbelt and follow all driving laws! When we arrived at the house, it was better than described. The sound of the ocean waves crashing was unbelievable. We sat on the front porch and just took in the sight and sounds of the crashing waves. Our stay was very comfortable and Tyson was available and prompt in answering our emails and calls. The house provided a house cell phone with all necessary numbers stored in the phone which was great! This house is in an awesome neighborhood. There were 2 restaurant options in the area. The Paki Point Restaurant a few doors down, was an incredible place to eat and drink in the neighborhood. As well as an outdoor evening pizza place. I bit further down the road is bluff beach which has some restaurants and places on the beach to eat and drink as well. Overall, our stay was amazing! Kristen, the owner, was a great about everything. She answered all my questions and full filed all our requests. We would love to stay here again! Thanks!
