"The Casa Roca setting is beautiful and secluded, but my favorite part of being there was the well-designed house which completely opens up to breezes and wonderful views. The kitchen is great, the furniture is comfortable, the AC is a blessing, everything about the house is appealing! We enjoyed our walks through the colorful Afro-Carribean community of Old Bank to get to the water taxi dock and loved eating at Alvin and Kecha’s restaurant on the water.
A couple of days into our week-long stay the underwater cable to Bastimentos was accidentally cut and the whole town was without electricity for several days. Everyone was so nice to us in this situation. Santiago, the caretaker, brought many buckets of water. Property manager, Tyson, called to make sure we were alright and kept calling with updates. He sent a cooler of ice by water taxi from Bocas and when the outage threatened to go on, tried to find other accommodations on Colon or Carenero, but it was Easter weekend and nothing much was available. Regretfully, we decided to leave the Bocas area early and move on to our next destination in the Highlands. Jerry, the owner, (who lives in Florida and is great to work with by email) offered us a refund which he didn’t have to do. It all ended well, but we were just starting to settle in when this all happened. I think we’ll have to go back and spend a few more days at Casa Roca sometime!"

"This wonderful place hosted our family of eight adults for a holiday adventure and met all of our expectations. The house is a perfect vacation home. Four bedrooms. Huge great room with two-story vaulted ceiling. Plus a huge porch under the roof of the house where we ate dinner. Well equipped kitchen. The house is located next to azul paradise, a small Eco-resort and here's the best thing: you are treated ad a guest of the resort so you get access to all of their water sports equipment and excursions. The spectacular beach is a stone's throw from the house. The Indian village of salt creek is a 10 minute kayak ride away. Their tour of the jungle is a bit on the muddy side but a cool adventure. Snorkeling was best at coral caye. Surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming are all right there. Jungle island adventure or serious getaway are perfect for this spot."
