"Just got back from Bocas Del Toro. Had a great time with my family and loved Casa Bocas. It was everything it said it would be."

  • Best choice for a relaxed stay in the caribbean Bocas area

"My wife and I had a really great stay at La Casa Blanca while our fantastic journey through Panama. Isla Solarte means caribbean flair pure and is far enough from the bustling Bocas Town to have it quite and relaxed there. The house is in a nice area, has it's own waterdock from where you can go for snorkeling to the nearby coral riffs and a huge terrace with an impressively view, especially by sunset. It's equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. Also nearby there's a jungle for little hikes where we have seen exotic birds like parrots and many of red frogs and funny crabs. Augustin, who lives directly in the neighborhood, gave us a good support. He took us with his boat to Bocas Town anytime we needed to go there to buy food for our meals and took us also to a nice and very personal boat tour and snorkeling trip to Dolphin Bay, Coral Cays and Bastimentos. If you go there just ask him for fresh fish. In any case we will highly recommend La Casa Blanca for a relaxed stay in Bocas area."

  • Paradise Found!

"I can only agree with the other positive reviews on this sight. I have traveled extensively, and the Casa Sol Y La Luna is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever stayed. The house itself is beautiful with reliable hot water and 12V electricity and the location provides a feeling of seclusion while being an easy walk to the nearby resorts in case you don't want to make all of your own meals (the food at Al Natural was excellent and is a fair value considering the location and the fact that wine is included). While the "cons" listed in the previous review are mostly accurate, the type of traveler you are will determine if these facts are actually "cons" at all. If you want constant 110V electricity and the absence of all insects, then you should know better than to stay on Bestimentos in the first place - perhaps the Trump hotel in Panama City would be a better fit! The house was spotless, and is in an excellent state of repair. Sunanda and Vincent could not have been more helpful and approachable hosts. We stayed for only four nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Be warned: after staying here you may find future beach accommodations pale in comparison, and your memories of falling asleep and waking up only to the sound of the waves and the jungle will make want to return again and again! Thank you so much Sunanda and Vincent, for memories of a fabulous family vacation that will last a lifetime!"

  • A stunning stay

"We had booked Casa dos Amores without knowing anything about Panama in general or the Bocas region in particular. After our stay in Casco Viejo in Panama City and a sailing tour round the San Blas islands, we didn't know what to expect of Isla Bastimentos. We really thought it could not get any better. But, it did. The house was spacious, just a hundred meteres off the beach. In front of it there was this small lagoon with palm trees. Even with 5 adults we had more than enough room to live, sit and move around. The porch was huge with a hammock on either side. We rented the house and although there was always the possibility to cook in a modern kitchen, we were allowed to have breakfast, dinner, drinks and more at a bar only a two minute stroll away from us. For those who cannot really disconnect there is Wifi and the possibillity to pay plastic. This bar is part of a greater project. Next to it, the managers of Casa dos Amores, Erni and Marty Williams, are realizing a dream project: 10 bungalows on the water, a restaurant, a gift shop and a grocery store. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms of Casa dos Amores were clean and tidy. The service from Erni and Marty Williams was more than perfect. They were easygoing and very helpful. The staff of Azul Paradise (www.azulparadise.com) were all locals from a small village called Salt Creek. They were always there to host all the activities - with all their 'island knowledge' - we wanted to do: seven kinds of jungle tours starting at the village, a snorkling trips to sites which are world listed, surfing lessons, etc., etc. So don't hesitate to go there now world tourism has not really landed on Isla Bastimentos yet."
