  • A Vacation in Paradise in the Bocas

"First of all. I generally do not write reviews, however without the previous reviews, we would not have stayed with at Casa Mañana. My wife, myself, and my father-in-law stayed for four days in July. Although it rained a great deal of the time during our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Gundula and Dave were extremely accommodating and genuinely concerned with making our experience the best it could be. The accommodation was exactly as per the photos and previous reviews. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, and the beach was wonderful, not to mention being totally private. Our highlights of the trip included a boat trip to Bird Island, spending an afternoon on the beach, Gundulas massages, visit to Starfish Beach, cutting our very own bananas, an encounter with Howler monkeys, seeing a three toed sloth up close, and riding the road in from Bocas Del Drago. If you are looking to get away from all, or go to a place very close to nature, and do not mind travelling off the beaten track, then this is the place for you. We ranked this accommodation as a 10 out of 10, despite the poor luck with the weather. We could not imagine how great this would have been if the sun was out. I will be recommending this accommodation to all my family and friends. A big thank you Gundula and Dave in sharing your paradise with us."

  • Wonderful!

"We stayed in the Villa at Burn Brae for three nights in August. There were six adults. The home is absolutely beautiful. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms nicely appointed, and the kitchen state of the art. Bill and his wife happened to be on-site during our stay and were very helpful with a number of things. Bill even brought us coconuts one day so that we could enjoy fresh coconut water. It is important to take note that this property is a bit out of town, so taxis are necessary. Unfortunately, not all the taxi drivers know where it is, so you may have to show them where to go. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks Bill and Caitlin--cant wait to come back and see the progress on the rest of the property."

  • Casa Bocas

"Just got back from Bocas Del Toro. Had a great time with my family and loved Casa Bocas. It was everything it said it would be."

  • Great family trip

"Our family just returned from Panama, and stayed at this rental for 1 week. (2 adults, 3 kids ages 14, 12, and 9) The house was overall better than we expected, with even more space than we needed. Everything you need is there, and the A.C. in the house works great on the hotter days. The ocean view deck was a big highlight. Relaxing in the hammocks, enjoying the incredible views was hard to beat. Also, the management was extremely helpful and professional at arrival, and when we had occasional questions. The house is in a great spot, as it is close enough to town, but far enough away to be much more relaxed than places in town. Getting around in Bocas del Toro was different than we expected, so renting a golf cart is highly recommended. Taxis are everywhere, so that's an option too, as well as renting a bicycle. There is also a nice restaurant/bar(Paki Point) 100 yards down the road that serves good food and drinks. We visited during the rainy season, but were pleasantly surprised it only rained "bad" for 2 of our 12 days. Most nights were rainy, but that was not a problem at all. The thunder and lightning storms some evenings were exciting too. The clouds were also a bit of a bonus, as they help keep the heat down some. We didn't get to see the Monkeys, as they were hiding out from the rain mostly, but we did get to hear them a few times. If you enjoy the rainforest while being nearly ocean front, and outside of the heart of town, you will enjoy this rental. Be sure to rent ATV's from Flying Pirates, a really fun way to explore the area. We hope to return soon ! Family From California"
