  • Perfect for our Family

"Our family 2 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 7 had the pleasure to stay in this delightful cabin in Bocas in November 2014. This was the perfect place for our family to stay, it gave us a lot of space to cook and enjoy the jungle. We love adventure filled and active vacations and this was the perfect location for us. We especially loved exploring the island by bikes which was a lovely option provided by Lucas. Our kids loved to spend time with Lucas and Gloria and the chickens and dogs and cat. Lucas chopped coconuts right out of the trees in the yard for the children to enjoy. My husband enjoyed visiting Lucas's music studio and taking a CD home with us. Lucas was great at suggesting wonderful restaurants, arranged a great snorkel tour for us, told us all the places to search for monkeys and sloths, and gave great biking directions to deserted beaches and great swimming areas. We really enjoyed visting the Bastimentos Island and visiting Up The Hill chocolate farm and eating at Alvin's which was a very enjoyable water taxi away. In Bocas we enjoyed wonderful coffee at the new Coffee Shop (close to town) and eating at Refugio. November was a great time to visit Bocas, great weather and almost no tourists, we would highly recommend visting at this time and staying at this great cabin."

  • Excellce By Nature

"Had the best time of my life in 2014, with family members. All services were provided without hiccups. The Owner's commitments were fully provided better than he stated. He (Albert) makes sure that everything is as he describes in his memorandum of sales. Great service provided by his Captain, Gregorio. Very humble person and ready to meet you expectations. Great place to be....highly recommended!! TIPS: Vacationers should be prepared in advanced to have everything ready for this type of getaway due to airliners and airport hiccups."

  • Lots of fun, lots of bug bites

"First, Bocas was gorgeous. Clear water, beautiful beaches (especially zapatillas), unique wildlife, and nice people. A really great place for 20-50 year olds for adventure, warm ocean swimming, and great bars and clubs at night. The house was one of the nicer that I saw in the area, but it's still an island house. Hot water is inconsistent, no A/C, and the gaps in the windows give the geckos & insects free reign. Be sure to bring bug spray and be sure to sleep under the mosquito nets, and be prepared to be bitten regardless. If you can get past those things though, this place is an awesome vacation home base. Water taxis pick you up at the dock and all of the captains know where this place is, so it's easy to get home. It's a dollar taxi/person to the main island, and where most bars/restaurants are. I think the best restaurant is walking distance though, the cosmic crab. The house has snorkel equipment, laundry, kitchen, kayaks, and everything you need to have an amazing time. The management company is very friendly and available, and mostly American or European for easy communication. All in all, I definitely recommend this place for a family/group. Maybe wear pants and long sleeves at night, but the mild itch of the bites is worth the beauty and relaxed pace of this place."

  • Amazing stay!

"To begin, we were happily greeted by a very nice couple at the airport. They took us by car to get our golf cart rental, which we highly recommend renting while staying at Casa K. We loved it! Great for exploring! From there they let us follow them to the house. Be sure to wear your seatbelt and follow all driving laws! When we arrived at the house, it was better than described. The sound of the ocean waves crashing was unbelievable. We sat on the front porch and just took in the sight and sounds of the crashing waves. Our stay was very comfortable and Tyson was available and prompt in answering our emails and calls. The house provided a house cell phone with all necessary numbers stored in the phone which was great! This house is in an awesome neighborhood. There were 2 restaurant options in the area. The Paki Point Restaurant a few doors down, was an incredible place to eat and drink in the neighborhood. As well as an outdoor evening pizza place. I bit further down the road is bluff beach which has some restaurants and places on the beach to eat and drink as well. Overall, our stay was amazing! Kristen, the owner, was a great about everything. She answered all my questions and full filed all our requests. We would love to stay here again! Thanks! Bocas del Toro Travel Tips

Natural Beauty at Bocas del Toro Vacation Homes

Bocas del Toro is a small archipelago of islands in Panama in Central America. It was the country’s first national park. Because of conservation efforts, it has remained a pristine haven of natural resources. Bird and turtle sanctuaries are numerous and visitors can enjoy nature at its best. Many divers come to explore the underwater world and snorkelers can view the reefs from the surface. There are many trails that are open for visitors to explore and travelers who enjoy trekking can explore a wide range of landscapes. It’s a destination where a more leisurely pace prevails and you can take some time to enjoy the local culture and natural attractions.

Bocas del Toro Travel Attractions

In Bocas del Toro, you are really spoiled for choice. Unless you are staying for an extended period, you will really be hard-pressed to explore all of the attractions the area has to offer. Both the land and sea offer many opportunities for exploration.

The scuba diving is excellent and there are several reputable dive schools in the area that operate daily charters. Snorkeling excursions and leisurely sightseeing cruises can also be easily arranged. For a different kind of snorkeling experience, join an excursion to the mangroves. Here in the crystal clear waters, you can see the sponges, starfish, fire corals and crabs that make this area their home. Surfers’ favorite spots are the waves off the Bastimentos and Colon Islands, and Carenero Quay. While the waves are good, it’s not a place for novice surfers. Many of the waves break close to the beach or dump on coral reefs, and you need to have the ability to break away before you get too close to either.

There are many marked trails for hiking on the different islands and some local tour operators will provide a guiding service to take you around. Some of the longer trails are open for mountain biking and bikes can be hired relatively inexpensively. Two of the more well known trails are the Red Frog Trail and the Sloth Trail.

The Bocas del Toro town is a place with a rich history. Many beautiful old buildings tell their own tales of industries and developments over the ages. Many of the old colonial buildings are being lovingly restored to their former glory, making strolling down the streets a wonderful experience.

Leisurely Days at Bocas del Toro Vacation Houses

Bocas del Toro is the type of destination that you visit to escape hectic your busy life for a while. The beautiful natural surroundings and wealth of outdoor activities will quickly rejuvenate your spirits. Many of the vacation homes are located on the beachfront with sweeping views over the ocean. Enjoy breakfast out on the deck and hear the birds in the trees overhead. Most rental homes are spacious and comfortably furnished. Many are characterized by large windows, open decks and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Staying here you can enjoy your own private piece of paradise.

Getting to Bocas del Toro

For international travelers, you will need to route via the international airport in Panama City. From there, you can get a connection with one of the domestic airlines into Bocas del Toro. There are regularly scheduled flights but because Bocas is a popular tourist destination, they are often quite fully booked. It’s therefore essential to make your reservation together with your international flight and reconfirm your flight details again prior to your departure. Upon arrival in Bocas del Toro, you can get a marine taxi out to the islands. There are two taxi companies that operate regularly scheduled departures throughout the day.
