"We stayed in Cottage 1 for 10 days at the end of January into February. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny, with no rain but nice breezes at all times. The cottage had A/C but we never needed it. The location is excellent and is on 90 acres on both sides of a scenic river. It's quiet and safe at Rio Encantado, yet you are only 20 minutes from Boquete for shopping and cultural interactions. The weather in Boquete is cooler, rainy or misty much of the time, and quite windy, so we found Rio Encantado to be just right for us. The cottage was beautifully appointed and well made with an excellent kitchen and a gorgeous hand-built shower. The patio had a direct view of Volcan Baru, and we spent many mornings and evenings watching the changing light, rainbows, and stars above the volcano. The pool at Rio Encantado is stellar, clean, with no smell of chlorine. It's big enough to swim laps, yet has a shallow end where you can relax and sit. Walking paths are throughout the property which is beautifully landscaped with many mature tropical beauties. The owner, Frank, is thoughtful, interesting, and just a fine person who loves Panama and cares about the people and culture. We've stayed in many VRBO homes in other Latin American countries and this place is by far the best. Some days we stayed at Rio Encantado and others we drove up into the mountains to hike and it was all just fabulous. You can't go wrong at this place."

Looking for a place to retire, found it in Boquete by the river
"Dear Barbara and Mort,
thank you so much for your extraordinary hosting in your cottage by the river. We stayed for over 3 weeks and we won´t miss one single day. On our arrivel we were welcomed like friends cominge home. Thanks to our hosts we have got lots of informations about retiering in the Boquete region. So we met friendly expats like Cathy and Jerry and got the feeling to be nearly part of the community. Irene joined the silk painting class with Barbara, while I visited the Boquete photographers community. We did wonderful hikes in the surrounding of Boquete. Each morning we had breakfast with that extraordinary bread from Mort and we enjoyd the cooking of a typical german dish, called Westälischer Pfefferpotthast. And not to forget the amazing Maggie, we closed her to our heart. There is so much to tell...., so we have to come back again.
Auf Wiedersehen from Hamburg, Germany
Irene and Rainer"

"We loved the place. Its halfway to Downtown Boquete and to David.
A full cabin for ourselves, with a driveway. Very private
I loved the pool and the backyard... with chairs for you to delight on the amazing view!"

"My family came to Boqerte to explorer and study Spanish at the school Habla Ya. It was a great experience for my grand-children and all the adults. The restaurants were excellent and the tours of Bees, coffee growing and the zip-line in the Mountains were were all great excursions. We hope to return soon."
