"There is no question that that everyday is a beautiful day in Valle Escondido.
From the first morning when we awoke to the birds chirping and the sun shining to the last night when they set off fireworks just for us as it was out last night - OK apparently there was a wedding happening - it was a wonderful experience.
We spent 5 weeks here and loved every minute. Boquete is a small town so do not expect fancy stores or a lot of tourist things to do. It is a place to just enjoy life and the wonderful surroundings. Everyone is very friendly and it is a very safe place to be if you are at all worried about travelling in Central America.
The casa is comfortable, well equipped with everything you will need to cook your own meals, and the huge patio is furnished with comfortable seating to enjoy the view and birdlife.
It does not get much better than this."

"It's really hard to say rather the wonderful memories of our stay at the Kent's are because the Kent's are so wonderful or because the casita is so wonderful! Our stay was only for a few days so we didn't have nearly enough time to hear the Kent's wonderful stories and enjoy their hospitality but we do hope to return soon. The casita couldn't have been any more tasteful or comfortable and the ever changing views were amazing. The neighborhood is peaceful, safe and quiet with the added bonus of a good breakfast place right next door. With no hesitation at all, I would recommend anyone to stay at this perfect spot!"

"This house is amazing! Perfect location and amazing facilities. The indoor pool is perfect for the rainy evenings or days. The steam room and spa are nice especially after hiking. The kitchen has everything you need to feel at home, and the laundry room is a plus. My favorite spot was the terrace with the view, and the fireplace for the cold evenings. This place was perfect for my family. Venizio and Velkis were super nice and helpful. Craig was super responsive, and all the information provided was on point. There are so many activities to do, that even a week was not enough. Boquete Outdoor Adventures is around the corner, and we highly recommend them. Lerida has a nice tour for outdoor lovers to learn about the birds and plants in the area (ask for Cesar). Beach anyone? We drove to Boca Chica and took a boat taxi to Bolanos Island ($120 roundtrip) for 6 people and they stay with you all day until you are ready to come back. We used Elvis Villalobos +507 6816‑7407 whatsapp. Tree Trek it's awesome, and the kids loved it!!! Forget the Hot springs, but visit the cangilones de Gualaca. The lost three waterfalls trail was challenging, and it did not disappoint. Overall, one of the best rentals we have stayed at on our travels around the world. Thanks for sharing with us Stien family."

"We stayed in Cottage 1 for 10 days at the end of January into February. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny, with no rain but nice breezes at all times. The cottage had A/C but we never needed it. The location is excellent and is on 90 acres on both sides of a scenic river. It's quiet and safe at Rio Encantado, yet you are only 20 minutes from Boquete for shopping and cultural interactions. The weather in Boquete is cooler, rainy or misty much of the time, and quite windy, so we found Rio Encantado to be just right for us. The cottage was beautifully appointed and well made with an excellent kitchen and a gorgeous hand-built shower. The patio had a direct view of Volcan Baru, and we spent many mornings and evenings watching the changing light, rainbows, and stars above the volcano. The pool at Rio Encantado is stellar, clean, with no smell of chlorine. It's big enough to swim laps, yet has a shallow end where you can relax and sit. Walking paths are throughout the property which is beautifully landscaped with many mature tropical beauties. The owner, Frank, is thoughtful, interesting, and just a fine person who loves Panama and cares about the people and culture. We've stayed in many VRBO homes in other Latin American countries and this place is by far the best. Some days we stayed at Rio Encantado and others we drove up into the mountains to hike and it was all just fabulous. You can't go wrong at this place."
