"Patty's Casitas Amador location nearest Amador Causeway expansion.
Panama is even more interesting and enjoyable this time in Nov. 2014. Our stay at Patty's Casitas on the Amador Causeway allowed us to see all the extensive work going on to evolve this area near the Canal, into a Tourist Destination. Frank Gehry's World Famous Biodiversity Museum is finished. A walking excursion, bike ride or short taxi ride out the causeway, bring major surprises, as new places and things, just completed, appear. The Yacht Harbor and Beach are still to come. For greater access to the Causeway Islands, the single narrow road, is being widened to 2 lanes going each way, using fill dirt from the New Canal Operation. In addition, the waterway approach to the canal will bring Cruise S hips tying up directly by the Walkway, in front of Hotels and Casinos soon to be added. Of course, more Restaurants and Shops will be opening. The ferry boats leave from right in front of the Balboa Yacht Club, only 2 blocks from the Condo and the Albrook Airport is only 10 minutes away by Taxi, so we used the Amador condo as a "base", to take a few side trips to Pedasi, Iguana Island, and Contadora in the Pearl Island Chain. The artists version can be seen on You Tube by searching "Nuevo Amador" in Panama. Now, Patty and Rudy's Amador Condo is right where all these goings on are happening and it's only going to get better. Please see our 2013 review under Patty's Casitas, about the amenities of the Amador Condo where we have loved to stay for 3 years now. Also see our review under Rudy's Tours about the New Canal Tour."

"We stayed in Cottage 1 for 10 days at the end of January into February. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny, with no rain but nice breezes at all times. The cottage had A/C but we never needed it. The location is excellent and is on 90 acres on both sides of a scenic river. It's quiet and safe at Rio Encantado, yet you are only 20 minutes from Boquete for shopping and cultural interactions. The weather in Boquete is cooler, rainy or misty much of the time, and quite windy, so we found Rio Encantado to be just right for us. The cottage was beautifully appointed and well made with an excellent kitchen and a gorgeous hand-built shower. The patio had a direct view of Volcan Baru, and we spent many mornings and evenings watching the changing light, rainbows, and stars above the volcano. The pool at Rio Encantado is stellar, clean, with no smell of chlorine. It's big enough to swim laps, yet has a shallow end where you can relax and sit. Walking paths are throughout the property which is beautifully landscaped with many mature tropical beauties. The owner, Frank, is thoughtful, interesting, and just a fine person who loves Panama and cares about the people and culture. We've stayed in many VRBO homes in other Latin American countries and this place is by far the best. Some days we stayed at Rio Encantado and others we drove up into the mountains to hike and it was all just fabulous. You can't go wrong at this place."

"This was my first trip not only to Bocas, but to Panama. I travel to Costa Rica often and wanted to see something new. I was hesitant in my search for a hotel or house because I didn't know what to expect and finally booked Bills place. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised just how hospitable Bill was when picking us up at the airport and taking us to a good sized grocery to get supplies. I did all the planning, and my friend was very impressed the minute we stepped for in our condo. Everything we could have possibly needed was there, including a state of the art and fully equipped kitchen, spacious dining area and living room and very large washer and dryer. There was plenty of room for privacy, as my friend and I love our alone time with two ensuite bedrooms with very spacious bathrooms and a separate guest bathroom in the hallway. We really enjoyed our mornings and evening on the porch where we listened to music and drank local beers. Our condo was very clean, neat and had all of the amenities listed. Bill was super helpful with recommendations where to go and swayed us away from some common touristy things like boat tours which I appreciated as I like to live like a local when vacationing. I would highly recommend Burn Brae Plantation to any family member and friends. It was a 5 minutes taxi ride into the hustle and bustle of Town and far enough away to really feel like you are on holiday! I will definitely return!!!"

"We LOVED! Heather's Condo it was just perfect.
You needed nothing but to be there, found everything as you see in the pictures, it was quiet confortable and as we are a family of 6 and spent the night of new years eve on the apartment finding the dinerware for all of us, plus all great things, we could have an awsome night, super fun at the pool making barbecues almost everyday, we didn't want to leave the condo!
Is a Complex were you have acces to the beach, plus is near to the RIU and MARRIOT hotel so you can go there and also have acces (you have to pay for it) to their beaches. Also in the condo you'll find the largest artificial (salted water) pool on Latin America.
The Condo is located excatly at 30 minutes from CORONADO Also the entrance to Playa Blanca is in front of a cementary called "Virgen del Carmen Campo Santo" it's also the entrance to RIU hotel and on its entrance they are building a mall wich will have a "Savey", "super 99" and a "Arrocha" pharmacy."
