"I spent a week with family in Playa La Barqueta and Nina's condo is the perfect place to stay. One may expect in a rental that the furnishings will be sub-par but in this condo, that is NOT the case. Each room is wonderfully furnished and uniquely decorated. This condo makes you feel at home. The kitchen has everything you'd want minus the actual food which can be bought at a local grocery store in David and the dishwasher and w/d were very nice to have. We had family staying elsewhere in Playa La Barqueta and they had several problems with their villa (incessant bugs INSIDE the villa; an inoperable washer/dryer; A/C not being efficient enough) but we had none of these problems at the condo. The condo is perfectly situated on the ground floor which is helpful when bringing in luggage and other items, and it is nice with the ocean breezes. Seriously, after playing tennis and also hanging out on the balcony, there must a 10 degree difference which is really refreshing. We visited in late May 2015 which is rainy season, and as we noticed, also a very quiet time of year. We basically had the common areas to ourselves, although be forewarned if you want to play tennis or have access to the sauna (even if there is literally nobody else around), the staff at Las Olas will initially say you must pay a fee (they told us $15/day), but once you provide the owners name they will grant you "access" via a wristband.
There is a lot to do in this area, even during quieter seasons such as late May. We walked on the beach, played tennis, swam in the pool and then spent most of our time elsewhere in and around Boquete. We hiked the highest peak in Panama (Volcan Baru), went ziplining at the Boquete Tree Trek, and did a coffee tour at Cafe Ruiz (with Carlos, an amazing tour guide). Overall, we just wish our stay in the area had been longer, but with that being said, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nina's condo or Playa La Barqueta for a nice, quiet, relaxing vacation literally ON the beach."

"This house is amazing! Perfect location and amazing facilities. The indoor pool is perfect for the rainy evenings or days. The steam room and spa are nice especially after hiking. The kitchen has everything you need to feel at home, and the laundry room is a plus. My favorite spot was the terrace with the view, and the fireplace for the cold evenings. This place was perfect for my family. Venizio and Velkis were super nice and helpful. Craig was super responsive, and all the information provided was on point. There are so many activities to do, that even a week was not enough. Boquete Outdoor Adventures is around the corner, and we highly recommend them. Lerida has a nice tour for outdoor lovers to learn about the birds and plants in the area (ask for Cesar). Beach anyone? We drove to Boca Chica and took a boat taxi to Bolanos Island ($120 roundtrip) for 6 people and they stay with you all day until you are ready to come back. We used Elvis Villalobos +507 6816‑7407 whatsapp. Tree Trek it's awesome, and the kids loved it!!! Forget the Hot springs, but visit the cangilones de Gualaca. The lost three waterfalls trail was challenging, and it did not disappoint. Overall, one of the best rentals we have stayed at on our travels around the world. Thanks for sharing with us Stien family."

"Our family 2 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 7 had the pleasure to stay in this delightful cabin in Bocas in November 2014. This was the perfect place for our family to stay, it gave us a lot of space to cook and enjoy the jungle. We love adventure filled and active vacations and this was the perfect location for us. We especially loved exploring the island by bikes which was a lovely option provided by Lucas. Our kids loved to spend time with Lucas and Gloria and the chickens and dogs and cat. Lucas chopped coconuts right out of the trees in the yard for the children to enjoy. My husband enjoyed visiting Lucas's music studio and taking a CD home with us. Lucas was great at suggesting wonderful restaurants, arranged a great snorkel tour for us, told us all the places to search for monkeys and sloths, and gave great biking directions to deserted beaches and great swimming areas. We really enjoyed visting the Bastimentos Island and visiting Up The Hill chocolate farm and eating at Alvin's which was a very enjoyable water taxi away. In Bocas we enjoyed wonderful coffee at the new Coffee Shop (close to town) and eating at Refugio. November was a great time to visit Bocas, great weather and almost no tourists, we would highly recommend visting at this time and staying at this great cabin."

"We spent the last five days of our 3-week Panama vacation in this great property (after having spent our first 5 days in Patty's fabulous Casco Viejo loft). The Amador condo was another great stay. We really enjoyed taking a morning run along the beautiful causeway and also took the bicycles out a couple of times, which was great fun! We found a brand new Indian restaurant on the middle island which we cycled to for lunch one day, and also enjoyed cocktails at the Balboa Yacht Club just a minute or so from the apartment. For dinner, we went into Casco a couple of times. During the day there were lots of taxis right outside the condo entrance, but in the evenings we usually had to wait a couple of minutes to hail one driving by. It was easy to get back from Casco by just telling the cab drivers "Amador - TGI Fridays"! Always worth negotiating the fare, though....some drivers asked for $10 or even $20(!). We generally paid $4-$7 (probably overpaid, but seemed like a good deal).
The condo itself was terrific. Beautifully decorated and maintained with everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom and shower were huge and the bed was so comfortable. Great views over to Casco and downtown Panama City.
As with the Casco loft, we had a great binder that provided us with all the necessary instructions/directions/recommendations and Patty and Rudy were great to deal with. We would highly recommend this property (and the Casco loft - separately reviewed) and hope to stay at one or both of these properties in the future."
