Cafés line the streets in old restored buildings, and there are many boutiques and art galleries that you can browse.

Because Gorgona is located on the coast of Panama, it enjoys a warm year-round tropical climate. It is hot and humid for most of the year with humidity levels increasing during the summer months. This is sometimes tempered by cooling ocean breezes. Panama is fortunate in that it is considered to lie outside of the hurricane belt, although heavy rains do occur between May and November. The rain showers are generally short-lived. The drier months are between December and April, and this coincides with the busier tourist season.

Getting to Panama Vacation Rentals in Gorgona

Gorgona is located on Panama’s coast, approximately 50 miles from Panama City. This puts it within an easy driving distance from the capital. It is recommended to arrange a private transfer from the airport upon arrival as driving in and around Panama City can be challenging. The roads are often highly congested so it’s advisable to take advantage of a local driver who knows how to navigate his way through traffic. You also need to factor in additional time when traveling to and from the airport to allow for traffic delays. The Tocumen International Airport is located just to the east of Panama City. The airport hosts regularly scheduled commercial flights by most North American and South American airlines. There are also weekly flights connecting Panama City with European cities such as Amsterdam and Madrid on major international air carriers.
