  • Remote and authentic

"The listing is accurate, calling it remote. It is at least 1 1/2 hr. from tourist sites. It is in a small, friendly village where ONLY spanish is spoken. It does get VERY lively over weekends- there was a double header at the ball field on Sun. Music gets VERY loud and can go on late into the night. Other night noises ie-Dogs barking and fighting, roosters (and I mean a CHORUS), wake you VERY early. The house is very clean and comfortable. Be aware there is no hot water (which I think is normal for Panama?) The caretaker is very nice- but again, only spanish speaking. The owner is very helpful and gives lots of suggestions for day trips and maps. It was an adventure and we felt like we got a real authentic Panama experience."

  • Spacious apartment in a perfect location!

"Thank you for a great vacation! We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival by how spacious, clean, and nice the apartment was. It was in a great location right next to the palace (extra safe with guards right on the corner) with some of the best restaurants and bars right out our doorstep. We enjoyed wandering around the area as the architecture in Casco is breathtaking. It is a long, but beautiful walk to downtown Panama City and you can hail cabs right outside your door for a quick and cheap trip to downtown Panama City and even the canal. Richard helped us with transportation from the airport and the service they booked was so amazing, we felt at home from the second we got off the plane. We fell in love with the area and will definitely return!"

  • Great family trip

"Our family just returned from Panama, and stayed at this rental for 1 week. (2 adults, 3 kids ages 14, 12, and 9) The house was overall better than we expected, with even more space than we needed. Everything you need is there, and the A.C. in the house works great on the hotter days. The ocean view deck was a big highlight. Relaxing in the hammocks, enjoying the incredible views was hard to beat. Also, the management was extremely helpful and professional at arrival, and when we had occasional questions. The house is in a great spot, as it is close enough to town, but far enough away to be much more relaxed than places in town. Getting around in Bocas del Toro was different than we expected, so renting a golf cart is highly recommended. Taxis are everywhere, so that's an option too, as well as renting a bicycle. There is also a nice restaurant/bar(Paki Point) 100 yards down the road that serves good food and drinks. We visited during the rainy season, but were pleasantly surprised it only rained "bad" for 2 of our 12 days. Most nights were rainy, but that was not a problem at all. The thunder and lightning storms some evenings were exciting too. The clouds were also a bit of a bonus, as they help keep the heat down some. We didn't get to see the Monkeys, as they were hiding out from the rain mostly, but we did get to hear them a few times. If you enjoy the rainforest while being nearly ocean front, and outside of the heart of town, you will enjoy this rental. Be sure to rent ATV's from Flying Pirates, a really fun way to explore the area. We hope to return soon ! Family From California"

  • Unforgettable Experience

"I must start by saying that pictures really make no justice to this beautiful property. My family and I had the best time ever. We spent a long weekend there for our family reunion this year. We even celebrated my parents' wedding anniversary and everything was so perfect. The landscape with the palm trees, the flowers, the plants, watching the sunrise from the pool early in the morning was priceless. The house decor, just a great combination of different themes. The only negative that I could bring up, which is not directly related to the house is the not so comfy dirt road ride (about 15 mins) but trust me when I tell you that the ride is so much worth it once you make it to the house. The staff, Margarito and Iris are so helpful we couldn't ask for more. We are looking forward to visiting your house soon! Thanks for all the assistance throughout the planning process and answering every single question Mr.Carson! Hope to contact you soon for another stay :)"
