  • Great location

"I stayed at the house while my parents visited my girlfriend and I in Panama. It was a great place to relax. The beach is just on the other side of the river. The views and privacy where fantastic. The ever changing scenery with tidal changes made sitting on the balcony more interesting. The house was very spacious. I would recommend this house to anyone who likes a quiet beach atmosphere. The manager was very helpful and made everything easy. Though I appreciated it the river makes crossing to the beach at high tide wet."

  • Golf, Rest, and Relaxation!

"This is a lovely condo, with a view that is absolutely incredible! I was here for a month and loved it. The facility is very, very quiet and peaceful, on weekends it pickups up only a little. Graciela, the contact person, was super responsive, always available via phone or email, and quite helpful. The owner was easy as pie to deal with, I've never had a rental transaction be so uncomplicated. The golf was wonderful! The staff at the golf course all made me feel welcome and it is a good and well thought out course! Now some downsides of the the condo: since I spent most of my time on the very spacious balcony, (reading a history of the canal while watching it!) including a daily long yoga session, it REALLY NEEDS A NEW PATIO SET! Forget the umbrella which is not usable in the wind, something new and not rusty. The walls need painting or at least some touch up work. A few larger pictures would add so much as there is no interest in terms of the walls. Just a bit more interest in the decor, the structure of the condo itself (granite, etc.) is lovely. All in all though, it is a wonderful place with a superb view plus a golf course!!! I would not hesitate to rent again or to recommend it."

  • Perfect for our Family

"Our family 2 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 7 had the pleasure to stay in this delightful cabin in Bocas in November 2014. This was the perfect place for our family to stay, it gave us a lot of space to cook and enjoy the jungle. We love adventure filled and active vacations and this was the perfect location for us. We especially loved exploring the island by bikes which was a lovely option provided by Lucas. Our kids loved to spend time with Lucas and Gloria and the chickens and dogs and cat. Lucas chopped coconuts right out of the trees in the yard for the children to enjoy. My husband enjoyed visiting Lucas's music studio and taking a CD home with us. Lucas was great at suggesting wonderful restaurants, arranged a great snorkel tour for us, told us all the places to search for monkeys and sloths, and gave great biking directions to deserted beaches and great swimming areas. We really enjoyed visting the Bastimentos Island and visiting Up The Hill chocolate farm and eating at Alvin's which was a very enjoyable water taxi away. In Bocas we enjoyed wonderful coffee at the new Coffee Shop (close to town) and eating at Refugio. November was a great time to visit Bocas, great weather and almost no tourists, we would highly recommend visting at this time and staying at this great cabin."

  • Amazing house, great location!

"The Casa Roca setting is beautiful and secluded, but my favorite part of being there was the well-designed house which completely opens up to breezes and wonderful views. The kitchen is great, the furniture is comfortable, the AC is a blessing, everything about the house is appealing! We enjoyed our walks through the colorful Afro-Carribean community of Old Bank to get to the water taxi dock and loved eating at Alvin and Kecha’s restaurant on the water. A couple of days into our week-long stay the underwater cable to Bastimentos was accidentally cut and the whole town was without electricity for several days. Everyone was so nice to us in this situation. Santiago, the caretaker, brought many buckets of water. Property manager, Tyson, called to make sure we were alright and kept calling with updates. He sent a cooler of ice by water taxi from Bocas and when the outage threatened to go on, tried to find other accommodations on Colon or Carenero, but it was Easter weekend and nothing much was available. Regretfully, we decided to leave the Bocas area early and move on to our next destination in the Highlands. Jerry, the owner, (who lives in Florida and is great to work with by email) offered us a refund which he didn’t have to do. It all ended well, but we were just starting to settle in when this all happened. I think we’ll have to go back and spend a few more days at Casa Roca sometime!"
