"A wonderful stay with a great host."Suites on the Beach" is not a misnomer. It could be called "Sweet on the Beach." You are literally steps away from the surf. Our host played the piano for us on the deck with a beaming orange moon lighting the water. it was magical! We stayed 10 nights and bemoaned having to leave. Meals at nearby restaurants were excellent."

"My wife and I spent a week in this property and highly recommend it. The location in Casco Viejo right by the presidential palace is the best in Panama. Steps away are many great dining, entertainment and historical venues. And if you are the type who is concerned about safety in an unfamiliar environment, you won't worry here. Casco Viejo has 'Tourist Police' liberally assigned at virtually every corner. Many police are stationed around the Presidential Palace, and consequently adjacent to this lodging. You couldn't find a much safer environment.
The apartment itself is spacious, with large rooms, high ceilings and old world charm. It is well equipped and furnished to match the era of the architecture, it was delightful.
The proprietor was very helpful with everything we asked, and even helped us work around a medical problem I had at the time.
Be sure and explore all of Casco Viejo and walk the Cinta Costera to downtown Panama City. That was fabulous. Also not to be missed is the Mercado de Mariscos (seafood market) adjacent to Casco Viejo. There are many restaurants/seafood stands surrounding the market, serving the freshest possible catch. You can get a nice cup of excellent ceviche for $2.50 and the became a lunchtime staple for me. Go through the seafood market to select from freshest possible catch straight off the boat and get your dinner items to take back to the apartment and cook. Prices are about virtually nothing compared to what we pay in Florida. Corvina (they say it is Sea Bass) costs $2.50 per pound. About 10% of what we pay for Sea Bass here and it was excellent.
If you are feeling a little more adventurous, go to the Mercada de Abastos in Curundu (a $2 taxi ride) for fresh fruits and veggies straight from the farm at prices comparably cheap to the seafood market."

"Our stay could not have been better. John's directions to the apartment made it easy to find our way from Panama City. From the moment we picked up the keys at the secured entrance, to checkout, the staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was beautifully furnished, fully-equipped and had more than enough room for my wife and I, my daughter her husband and our three grandchildren. We enjoyed meals on the balcony with views of the ocean. The grounds are perfectly maintained grounds and include a nice pool and spacious lounge area. Our stay was outstanding. Five stars."

"We did enjoy our stay. We found the condo to be nice, clean, comfortable. The beach location is great, and the building security is excellent. The rooftop pool is very enjoyable as well.
Just a note for other guests: make sure you have your security keyfob with you at all times to get in and out of the building and the beach. You can purchase an additional one for $20.50 like we did since we had five people often going different directions. Alejandro was great about providing the number of towels we needed for five people as well.
The only other comment is that it would be nice to have a booklet in the condo about the building, office hours, security and use of keyfob, closest markets and restaurants, suggestions of things to do like El Valle, etc. Not a big deal, but could be helpful to others if they're new to the area."
