  • Had a wonderful time-family of 8.

"We were a family of 8 adults and spent almost a week at this most unusual home. We all loved the distinct differences this house had to offer.. Colorful areas for relaxation and conversations. We were there during the rainy season and we were all comfortable because of the open spaces and fans. After we found the house is was very easy to get out to the grocery stores which were supplied. We never went out to eat as we have a lot of cooks in the family and they enjoys staying in at night and having great dinners together. Even went down the beach to a rather local type fishing village and bought fresh lobsters right as they came in off the boat. Speaking of eating in I can't fail to sing the praises of the housekeeper Omaira. After all those cooks messed up the kitchen she faithfully cleaned up all the messes and would not let us near the sink. A marvelous gentle lady! Some of the family took a side trip to El Valle and had a good day otherwise we stayed home to enjoy the house and swim in the ocean "when the tide was in", take naps and read. We would recommend this property. Even though the owner was away when we arrived she made sure everything was ready for us. Thanks again for a great vacation!"

  • Panama Paradise

"We had an amazing time at Villa Pacifica. The house was beautiful and comfortably slept our two families. Mornings were spent enjoying a cup of coffee overlooking the ocean, alongside the beautiful infinity pool. We enjoyed walks/runs on the beach, playing in the sand and waves, making meals in a spacious and fully stocked kitchen, our children's laughter as they played in the pool, and adult conversation under the stars. Maria, the owner's assistant was a great help, arriving every day to freshen up the beds and bathrooms and even help with laundry. As a mother of four children, this was greatly appreciated! All of Greg's recommendations for restaurants and grocery stores came in very handy. We enjoyed a casual Panamanian lunch at Isla Iguana and one evening we had an exquisite, fancier dinner while feeling the ocean breeze at Amareto, a new restaurant near the villa. Our families return to Panama every other year and we are hoping to return to the villa in the future!"

  • Spacious apartment in a perfect location!

"Thank you for a great vacation! We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival by how spacious, clean, and nice the apartment was. It was in a great location right next to the palace (extra safe with guards right on the corner) with some of the best restaurants and bars right out our doorstep. We enjoyed wandering around the area as the architecture in Casco is breathtaking. It is a long, but beautiful walk to downtown Panama City and you can hail cabs right outside your door for a quick and cheap trip to downtown Panama City and even the canal. Richard helped us with transportation from the airport and the service they booked was so amazing, we felt at home from the second we got off the plane. We fell in love with the area and will definitely return!"

  • Beachfront serenity and sun!

"Any closer to the beach and we would be in the water! The condo was much more than we expected. Being 5 months pregnant, my husband and I were looking for a relaxing stay during over Christmas and New Years for a 5 weeks. The second we walked into the unit we were wowed. Lots of sunshine coming in from the large patio doors leading out to the balcony. Everything built and furnished to North American standards. Clean as a whistle. Much pride in their ownership. We decided not to rent a car and it was perfectly fine. There are 4-5 minisupers (grocery) within a 5 or 10 minute walk from the condo for your essentials. Also 3 restaurants if you feel like it. If you have a car, you can really blow it out and drive just 10 minutes on the Panamerican to the 3 large malls with the 24 hour supermarkets, restaurants, banks etc. For the few times that we went to Coronado to pick up things, the front security or managers were awesome enough to call a taxi for us and it would come in 5 minutes during the day. We cooked at home every day in the spacious kitchen with full sized fridge. The ice maker was awesome on those hot days! You have all the basic tools to make and eat your meals. In addition, a gas BBQ with side burner is on the balcony. One of the only units that have it seems! Perfect for grilling everything from sausages, steaks and homemade hamburgers to the fresh fish and langostinos purchased from the local fisherman just a 10 minute walk along the beach (or inside roads if the tide is up). That totally made our trip actually. We have stayed in numerous rentals over the year and none had this feature. Two air conditioners installed in the living room and bedroom was appreciated although we only used it once as we preferred to have the fresh ocean air blow in. However there are ceiling fans (1 in the living room, 2 in the bedroom, 1 on balcony) that are perfect so that you won't have to draw too much power using the air con if you don't wish to. The wifi internet connection worked sufficiently for us as we are somewhat addicted to the net! You can be connected in all areas of the house including the balcony. Hot water is on demand in the bathroom however we took mostly cold showers to refresh ourselves. If you want to have an almost private beach to yourself just outside your window, you have it here. The pool and amenities are barely used. Good equipment at the gym. We would love to come back again!"

Panama Travel Tips

Getting to Panama Vacation Rentals

The Tocumen International Airport in Panama City is located not far from the city center. Because of the rapid expansion of the city in recent decades, roads and traffic can be particularly chaotic and you need to allow for additional time to get to and from the airport. Panama City Airport hosts most major North American, South American and European Airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights that link Panama City with other major cities in the United States and neighboring countries. If you are traveling to a region outside of Panama City such as Bocas Del Toro, you will need to get a domestic connection from the Marcos A. Gelabert Regional Airport. This is the airport that hosts most regional flights to the rest of Panama. In Panama, the best way to get around is by taxi. Car rental is not recommended unless you are traveling in more remote areas.

Panama Travel Attractions

The Panama Canal is a major engineering feat and one of the country’s biggest attractions. You can visit the Miaflores Visitors Center and join a guided tour explaining the history, construction and modern-day operations of the canal. Then while enjoying lunch or a cup of coffee at the restaurant, you can watch the locks operating and see the ships passing through. Half-day and full-day cruises on the canal will take you through a number of locks.

Panama City has a number of interesting landmarks and museums. Most are open throughout the year and provide interesting and unique insights into Panama’s history and culture. Unfortunately, not all museums have both English and Spanish transcriptions on their exhibits so it is sometimes useful to have a Spanish-speaking guide with you. The Old City is known as the Panama-Viejo. This is original site of the first settlement in Panama. The city was once a base for Spanish conquests but was destroyed by fire in 1671 when it came under attack of the famous English pirate Henry Morgan. The historical heart of Panama City is the Casco-Viejo. Here, you can see some colonial architectural masterpieces. Browse the shops and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the street cafés.

The Bocas Del Toro Archipelago is a group of islands that is a marine paradise. Home to the first nature reserve in Panama, the islands offer a quiet retreat where you can forget all about corporate city life for a while. There are excellent diving and snorkeling on the islands. Many have great beach breaks and are popular surfing spots. Birdwatching is a favorite pastime and you can spend many leisurely hours on the beachfront.

Stylish Comforts at Panama Beach Houses

If you want a truly relaxing vacation then rent one of the beach houses in Panama. Enjoy a quiet rural ambience and have a vacation where you can put your feet up and do whatever you please. Stroll down to the local restaurant for lunch and enjoy a home-cooked seafood meal. In the evening, you can enjoy sundowners on the deck as the sun sets behind you. The homes are either cozy cottages or more spacious homes depending on your rental requirements. Living areas are comfortable and rooms are tastefully furnished.

Seasons to Visit Bocas Del Toro Vacation Rentals in Panama

The dry season in Panama occurs between February and April and again between September and October. This coincides with the more popular tourist season. In general, Panama experiences a year-round warm tropical climate with average annual temperatures around 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
