  • Fabulous experience

"We rented this condo for a month this past Winter and our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. The property was wonderful and Ken (the owner) was great to deal with. The setting is not only beautiful, but quiet and secluded as well. With more than 50 condos on the property we were amazed that we had the pool pretty much to ourselves most of the day prior to about 3:00 PM. Everything you could want or need is available in the condo, and all is in good order. The location is rather secluded and you will definitely want to have a car of your own, not only to explore the country, but also to go out for meals and all forms of shopping. There are a couple of restaurants within a short walking distance but you will certainly want to extend your experiences beyond this. David offers some nice food markets and restaurants, and the prices are some of the best you will see anywhere. Exploring Panama can be an exciting experience and you will need patience. If you are a hesitant driver you will require therapy when you return home. Panamanian drivers are a challenge to deal with and you will need to be aggressive to cope successfully. Also quite problematic is the fact that a very high percentage of streets have no signs, so you will seldom know where you are and maps and map programs for your GPS will most likely not serve you very well. Also you will find that English is not spoken by many locals, even those who deal in different segments of the 'tourist' industry. Overall I can only give a 5 star rating to the property and owner. If you are seeking a quiet, tropical, relaxing atmosphere, this is the place to be!"

  • SPECTACULAR PROPERTY AND VIEW WITH GRACIOUS HOST

"Staying in the sparking new Sky Suite was breathtaking. The layout provided privacy and the perfect opportunity to meet other guest. Across the street a modern restaurant is available for breakfast or dinner if you so desire. We preferred mostly to take the perfect recommendations of our host. There were many great properties along the beach (although we though this to appear the best) but no host can compare to the gracious hosts, Silvard and Barbara. We were treated to baby grand piano concert at sunset. Silvard is a concert pianist along with his PHD. Guest staying were from Russia, Cuba, Germany, Canada and the USA. He played music from every country and addressed everyone in their native language. My wife and I stayed in many places in Panama and at the end of the trip we said, "Silvard and Barbara were the highlight and as special as the beauty of Panama. They are worth the stay. Plus they have a spectacular property to enjoy."

  • I highly recommend a visit!

"We stayed at this lovely beachfront condo for 2 weeks. I have a family of 6 and we were very comfortable here and there is so much to do on the property that it took us a couple of days to actually see everything there was to offer. The older kids were thrilled with going up to the roof top gym and sauna while the younger ones played Foosball in the adjoining room. The view from the rooftop pool and seating are is absolutely breath taking and made for some beautiful family photos! We went for long walks on the beach and then hopped into the beachfront pool to cool off, there are no words to describe how beautiful and relaxing it was! And the food...unbelievable! There are so many little restaurants along the street, we ate at every one of them and it would be hard to say which was my favorite. I highly recommend a visit. The owner, Alejandro, is very nice and accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. His prices are extremely reasonable and the drive into the city is scenic and fairly quick (if you are not in morning rush hour)! Thank you Alejandro for giving us a memorable 2 weeks in Panama!"

Panama Travel Tips

Getting to Panama Vacation Rentals

The Tocumen International Airport in Panama City is located not far from the city center. Because of the rapid expansion of the city in recent decades, roads and traffic can be particularly chaotic and you need to allow for additional time to get to and from the airport. Panama City Airport hosts most major North American, South American and European Airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights that link Panama City with other major cities in the United States and neighboring countries. If you are traveling to a region outside of Panama City such as Bocas Del Toro, you will need to get a domestic connection from the Marcos A. Gelabert Regional Airport. This is the airport that hosts most regional flights to the rest of Panama. In Panama, the best way to get around is by taxi. Car rental is not recommended unless you are traveling in more remote areas.

Panama Travel Attractions

The Panama Canal is a major engineering feat and one of the country’s biggest attractions. You can visit the Miaflores Visitors Center and join a guided tour explaining the history, construction and modern-day operations of the canal. Then while enjoying lunch or a cup of coffee at the restaurant, you can watch the locks operating and see the ships passing through. Half-day and full-day cruises on the canal will take you through a number of locks.

Panama City has a number of interesting landmarks and museums. Most are open throughout the year and provide interesting and unique insights into Panama’s history and culture. Unfortunately, not all museums have both English and Spanish transcriptions on their exhibits so it is sometimes useful to have a Spanish-speaking guide with you. The Old City is known as the Panama-Viejo. This is original site of the first settlement in Panama. The city was once a base for Spanish conquests but was destroyed by fire in 1671 when it came under attack of the famous English pirate Henry Morgan. The historical heart of Panama City is the Casco-Viejo. Here, you can see some colonial architectural masterpieces. Browse the shops and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the street cafés.

The Bocas Del Toro Archipelago is a group of islands that is a marine paradise. Home to the first nature reserve in Panama, the islands offer a quiet retreat where you can forget all about corporate city life for a while. There are excellent diving and snorkeling on the islands. Many have great beach breaks and are popular surfing spots. Birdwatching is a favorite pastime and you can spend many leisurely hours on the beachfront.

Stylish Comforts at Panama Beach Houses

If you want a truly relaxing vacation then rent one of the beach houses in Panama. Enjoy a quiet rural ambience and have a vacation where you can put your feet up and do whatever you please. Stroll down to the local restaurant for lunch and enjoy a home-cooked seafood meal. In the evening, you can enjoy sundowners on the deck as the sun sets behind you. The homes are either cozy cottages or more spacious homes depending on your rental requirements. Living areas are comfortable and rooms are tastefully furnished.

Seasons to Visit Bocas Del Toro Vacation Rentals in Panama

The dry season in Panama occurs between February and April and again between September and October. This coincides with the more popular tourist season. In general, Panama experiences a year-round warm tropical climate with average annual temperatures around 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
