  • Beach Vacation

"We stayed at Moti and Susan's place in May. We loved the place and the experience of living by the ocean. The pictures just don't do it justice. It's a beautiful modern escape property with gorgeous ocean views. We grilled fresh fish we bought from the fishermen on the beach and ate romantic dinners on the balcony just listening to the waves."

  • Panama Paradise

"We had an amazing time at Villa Pacifica. The house was beautiful and comfortably slept our two families. Mornings were spent enjoying a cup of coffee overlooking the ocean, alongside the beautiful infinity pool. We enjoyed walks/runs on the beach, playing in the sand and waves, making meals in a spacious and fully stocked kitchen, our children's laughter as they played in the pool, and adult conversation under the stars. Maria, the owner's assistant was a great help, arriving every day to freshen up the beds and bathrooms and even help with laundry. As a mother of four children, this was greatly appreciated! All of Greg's recommendations for restaurants and grocery stores came in very handy. We enjoyed a casual Panamanian lunch at Isla Iguana and one evening we had an exquisite, fancier dinner while feeling the ocean breeze at Amareto, a new restaurant near the villa. Our families return to Panama every other year and we are hoping to return to the villa in the future!"

  • Western Panama 2014

"The apartment VRBO in Cuesta Piedra near Volcan was in a beautiful near-mountainous setting, quiet and peaceful, and nature's beauty is everywhere. The apartment is well stocked with everything needed to cook and launder, just add food. The hosts, Lynn and Jer are delightful people, very helpful and friendly, who live in the attached, beautiful home. They put out bananas that attract beautiful birds, in addition to having beautiful flowers. There are stairs to navigate daily, but bathrooms on both floors. Dogs are friendly and playful. Security feels very tight with fence and locking gate. Two outdoor areas to enjoy, with bug spray. A nearby creek provides welcome rushing water sounds. David, Volcan and Boquette are a reasonable drive away."

  • Let us keep our paradise like a paradise

"Four unforgettable days with our Family from Canada and Ireland. If there is a way to rate the staff they don't deserve 10, they deserve "100". They were devoted to us the entire time we were there. As for the owner, no words to thank Don Carlos. Always concerned that all was working and that everything was working. The only complaint we had was the strong winds which followed us from Canada (sob, sob). We couldnt use the kayak nor the paddle board. We will be back Casa Mia en la Olla de Pachuco. Hasta pronto. Maybe in September to do some fishing and cross over to San Blas"

Panama Travel Tips

Getting to Panama Vacation Rentals

The Tocumen International Airport in Panama City is located not far from the city center. Because of the rapid expansion of the city in recent decades, roads and traffic can be particularly chaotic and you need to allow for additional time to get to and from the airport. Panama City Airport hosts most major North American, South American and European Airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights that link Panama City with other major cities in the United States and neighboring countries. If you are traveling to a region outside of Panama City such as Bocas Del Toro, you will need to get a domestic connection from the Marcos A. Gelabert Regional Airport. This is the airport that hosts most regional flights to the rest of Panama. In Panama, the best way to get around is by taxi. Car rental is not recommended unless you are traveling in more remote areas.

Panama Travel Attractions

The Panama Canal is a major engineering feat and one of the country’s biggest attractions. You can visit the Miaflores Visitors Center and join a guided tour explaining the history, construction and modern-day operations of the canal. Then while enjoying lunch or a cup of coffee at the restaurant, you can watch the locks operating and see the ships passing through. Half-day and full-day cruises on the canal will take you through a number of locks.

Panama City has a number of interesting landmarks and museums. Most are open throughout the year and provide interesting and unique insights into Panama’s history and culture. Unfortunately, not all museums have both English and Spanish transcriptions on their exhibits so it is sometimes useful to have a Spanish-speaking guide with you. The Old City is known as the Panama-Viejo. This is original site of the first settlement in Panama. The city was once a base for Spanish conquests but was destroyed by fire in 1671 when it came under attack of the famous English pirate Henry Morgan. The historical heart of Panama City is the Casco-Viejo. Here, you can see some colonial architectural masterpieces. Browse the shops and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the street cafés.

The Bocas Del Toro Archipelago is a group of islands that is a marine paradise. Home to the first nature reserve in Panama, the islands offer a quiet retreat where you can forget all about corporate city life for a while. There are excellent diving and snorkeling on the islands. Many have great beach breaks and are popular surfing spots. Birdwatching is a favorite pastime and you can spend many leisurely hours on the beachfront.

Stylish Comforts at Panama Beach Houses

If you want a truly relaxing vacation then rent one of the beach houses in Panama. Enjoy a quiet rural ambience and have a vacation where you can put your feet up and do whatever you please. Stroll down to the local restaurant for lunch and enjoy a home-cooked seafood meal. In the evening, you can enjoy sundowners on the deck as the sun sets behind you. The homes are either cozy cottages or more spacious homes depending on your rental requirements. Living areas are comfortable and rooms are tastefully furnished.

Seasons to Visit Bocas Del Toro Vacation Rentals in Panama

The dry season in Panama occurs between February and April and again between September and October. This coincides with the more popular tourist season. In general, Panama experiences a year-round warm tropical climate with average annual temperatures around 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
