  • Almost Perfect!

"Chris the owner and Graciela the point of contact in Panama went out of their way to make the booking and check in process great. Both were professional and helpful. Graciela even suggested I get groceries before I got to the condo as there are no supermarkets close by. The condo worked very well for our needs. My husband and I travel frequently to Panama and enjoyed having a full kitchen, semi-private patio, view of the city and Panama Canal, and a washer/dryer. The condo is located within the beautiful grounds of the Tucan Country Club and Resort which made it a very relaxing place to return to after a busy day in the city. The only reason I did not give the property five stars is that it is time for a bit of sprucing up. The furniture on the patio is very worn, and the umbrella is broken and moldy. The control panel for the oven has come off the stove and is leaning against the wall. It was a bit of a game to figure out which button to push to set the oven. As mentioned in another review, the master bath is very slow to drain. Also, it is time to paint the walls due to wear and some water damage. The bathrooms were very clean, but overall the condo needs a deep cleaning. When we arrived, we swept, dusted, and straightened up to give it a fresh feel. But, for the price and by Panama standards, this was a great place for our ten days in Panama. I would recommend this condo to my friends because overall it provided a great home base while in Panama!"

  • Casa Oceana is the best!!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'the jungle house', after a narly trip here from the NW USA, it was such a relaxing treat to chill out on the spacious deck surrounded by the jungle! The house was awesome and the grounds were spectacular! The location is ideal too, close to surf spots, swimming beaches and just a short bike ride to town which we really enjoyed! It was nice to be greeted at the airport by carol and she gave us a little tour of town! Tera provided excellent friendly customer service and was super helpful!! We would stay at Casa Oceana again for sure!!"

  • Felt right at home.

"We loved our stay at Casa Valhalla! The 3 bedroom unit is roomy and comfortable. The kitchen and baths are new and modern. The beds were comfortable and we slept better than we had in months. The back yard is a beautiful place to enjoy playing with your kids. The house is in a great location between town and hiking trails. It was so nice to feel like we were at home instead of in a hotel or hostel. I say book it while you can!"

Panama Travel Tips

Getting to Panama Vacation Rentals

The Tocumen International Airport in Panama City is located not far from the city center. Because of the rapid expansion of the city in recent decades, roads and traffic can be particularly chaotic and you need to allow for additional time to get to and from the airport. Panama City Airport hosts most major North American, South American and European Airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights that link Panama City with other major cities in the United States and neighboring countries. If you are traveling to a region outside of Panama City such as Bocas Del Toro, you will need to get a domestic connection from the Marcos A. Gelabert Regional Airport. This is the airport that hosts most regional flights to the rest of Panama. In Panama, the best way to get around is by taxi. Car rental is not recommended unless you are traveling in more remote areas.

Panama Travel Attractions

The Panama Canal is a major engineering feat and one of the country’s biggest attractions. You can visit the Miaflores Visitors Center and join a guided tour explaining the history, construction and modern-day operations of the canal. Then while enjoying lunch or a cup of coffee at the restaurant, you can watch the locks operating and see the ships passing through. Half-day and full-day cruises on the canal will take you through a number of locks.

Panama City has a number of interesting landmarks and museums. Most are open throughout the year and provide interesting and unique insights into Panama’s history and culture. Unfortunately, not all museums have both English and Spanish transcriptions on their exhibits so it is sometimes useful to have a Spanish-speaking guide with you. The Old City is known as the Panama-Viejo. This is original site of the first settlement in Panama. The city was once a base for Spanish conquests but was destroyed by fire in 1671 when it came under attack of the famous English pirate Henry Morgan. The historical heart of Panama City is the Casco-Viejo. Here, you can see some colonial architectural masterpieces. Browse the shops and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the street cafés.

The Bocas Del Toro Archipelago is a group of islands that is a marine paradise. Home to the first nature reserve in Panama, the islands offer a quiet retreat where you can forget all about corporate city life for a while. There are excellent diving and snorkeling on the islands. Many have great beach breaks and are popular surfing spots. Birdwatching is a favorite pastime and you can spend many leisurely hours on the beachfront.

Stylish Comforts at Panama Beach Houses

If you want a truly relaxing vacation then rent one of the beach houses in Panama. Enjoy a quiet rural ambience and have a vacation where you can put your feet up and do whatever you please. Stroll down to the local restaurant for lunch and enjoy a home-cooked seafood meal. In the evening, you can enjoy sundowners on the deck as the sun sets behind you. The homes are either cozy cottages or more spacious homes depending on your rental requirements. Living areas are comfortable and rooms are tastefully furnished.

Seasons to Visit Bocas Del Toro Vacation Rentals in Panama

The dry season in Panama occurs between February and April and again between September and October. This coincides with the more popular tourist season. In general, Panama experiences a year-round warm tropical climate with average annual temperatures around 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
