  • Beach condo

"Our stay at the condo went smoothly, complete with detailed instructions in English and gracious owners who were there to answer any questions. The condo is spacious and bright and close to the beach. Definitely a place to return."

  • This is the place you want to rent if you are going to Bocas.

"I just returned from a week long stay at Vista Azul lodge. I travelled there with my wife, five children (21 to 18 months), and in-laws. The house was exactly as advertised on the website and the beach view from the house was spectacular. Peter Kent answered emails promptly and made the rental process very efficient. I was treated with some celebrity once the local boat taxi drivers discovered I was staying at "Señor Kent's Casa" We went scuba diving with La Buga Dive shop. Tony was our dive master and did a great job. The food there was delicious. We took a catamaran ride with Marcelle at Bocas Sailing. Good trip but rain all day. Most fun activity was an ATV ride with Flying Pirates up the north east coast of Isla Colon. Great fun. The proprietor the I believe is Steve who may actually be a real pirate. Every day brought head high waves 1000 yards from the front door step My 21 yo daughter and 18 yo son said it was the best trip ever and plan to return. My 14 yo daughter and mother in law were a little taken aback by the geckos. No regrets here."

  • Absolutley beautiful place on Isla Colon!

"The property and the house are truly amazing, beautifully manicured and cared for. No one around, just the sound of parrots and crashing waves. The private beach is amazing, soft sand and warm ocean breezes. Rarely did we see another person, we loved the privacy and tranquility of the grounds. The two dogs are well behaved and fun to play with. There is a fresh water lagoon down the beach that is simply spectacular. We could have spent our entire week there and we were most pleased with Gundala & Dave, our host. Looking forward to visit the site again - thanks for the great time! Vera & Marc and Jo"

Panama Travel Tips

Getting to Panama Vacation Rentals

The Tocumen International Airport in Panama City is located not far from the city center. Because of the rapid expansion of the city in recent decades, roads and traffic can be particularly chaotic and you need to allow for additional time to get to and from the airport. Panama City Airport hosts most major North American, South American and European Airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights that link Panama City with other major cities in the United States and neighboring countries. If you are traveling to a region outside of Panama City such as Bocas Del Toro, you will need to get a domestic connection from the Marcos A. Gelabert Regional Airport. This is the airport that hosts most regional flights to the rest of Panama. In Panama, the best way to get around is by taxi. Car rental is not recommended unless you are traveling in more remote areas.

Panama Travel Attractions

The Panama Canal is a major engineering feat and one of the country’s biggest attractions. You can visit the Miaflores Visitors Center and join a guided tour explaining the history, construction and modern-day operations of the canal. Then while enjoying lunch or a cup of coffee at the restaurant, you can watch the locks operating and see the ships passing through. Half-day and full-day cruises on the canal will take you through a number of locks.

Panama City has a number of interesting landmarks and museums. Most are open throughout the year and provide interesting and unique insights into Panama’s history and culture. Unfortunately, not all museums have both English and Spanish transcriptions on their exhibits so it is sometimes useful to have a Spanish-speaking guide with you. The Old City is known as the Panama-Viejo. This is original site of the first settlement in Panama. The city was once a base for Spanish conquests but was destroyed by fire in 1671 when it came under attack of the famous English pirate Henry Morgan. The historical heart of Panama City is the Casco-Viejo. Here, you can see some colonial architectural masterpieces. Browse the shops and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the street cafés.

The Bocas Del Toro Archipelago is a group of islands that is a marine paradise. Home to the first nature reserve in Panama, the islands offer a quiet retreat where you can forget all about corporate city life for a while. There are excellent diving and snorkeling on the islands. Many have great beach breaks and are popular surfing spots. Birdwatching is a favorite pastime and you can spend many leisurely hours on the beachfront.

Stylish Comforts at Panama Beach Houses

If you want a truly relaxing vacation then rent one of the beach houses in Panama. Enjoy a quiet rural ambience and have a vacation where you can put your feet up and do whatever you please. Stroll down to the local restaurant for lunch and enjoy a home-cooked seafood meal. In the evening, you can enjoy sundowners on the deck as the sun sets behind you. The homes are either cozy cottages or more spacious homes depending on your rental requirements. Living areas are comfortable and rooms are tastefully furnished.
