"We recently spent three days at this condo at Playa Coronado. There is everything you need there. The apartment is clean and the views spectacular. The owner Laura is extremely helpful and goes out of her way to give you information about the different restaurants and shops nearby. I would certainly recommend this accommodation to any one who wants to spend some downtime at the beach. Thank you Laura!"Guest: Beth M. "This property at Valle Escondido has to be seen to be believed! When we first arrived and told a local that we were staying at Valle Escondido he said that it was "Paradise" and he was right! The community itself is an amazing place, but the owners have really spared no expense in building and outfitting this wonderful property. The landscaping is so beautiful, with hundreds of tropical plants and shrubs covering the yard surrounding the home. While technically a "gated community", it does not feel like one at all. Most of the security comes from the fact that the community was built inside a crater surrounded by vertical walls of greenery. But to be honest, Boquete felt very safe anyways The home itself is very spacious with a fully stocked kitchen and all the required necessities to self-cater if you desire. The internet is as fast as the States! I've been to places where you have to bring your own salt & pepper. The owners go above and beyond in providing much more including a whole bag of local coffee, spices, oil, etc. You could easily prepare gourmet meals and enjoy them right on the massive deck. The deck overlooks the beautifully manicured gardens where beautiful birds abound. Just sit on the outdoor couch or chairs and be amazed by the beauty of the place! Overall, I would highly recommend this beautiful property. It is a mere 10 min. drive from the town center where you'll find lots of shopping and restaurants. One consideration is that you would definitely want to rent a car of you decided to stay here. The walk to town is about 20-25 minutes, but to get around Boquete and really appreciate the area, a car is a must. The owners can connect you with a reputable rental car agency. We would definitely stay again!"Guest: Allen Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 31, 2014View listing
"Our stay was wonderful! The owners were very helpful in answering all of our questions and providing ideas of things to do. The house was really spacious and clean and had an amazing view of the ocean. It was particularly peaceful to sit on the deck at the end of the day and enjoy the sunset and view while listening to jungle sounds. The pool was also fun for our children for a break from the ocean. I highly recommend getting a golf cart as that made trips to the beach, restaurants and dock quick and easy. We also found it was easy to plan and do activities. The staff was very helpful when we needed things and wanted to schedule tours. We went surfing, scuba diving, zip lining and took a day trip to Zapatillos Island, which was remote and beautiful. There was no shortage of activities which made the trip very fun with teenagers. I highly recommend this villa."Guest: thomp Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 12, 2014View listing
"My new bride and I just spent one week of our honeymoon in this gorgeous house, and we couldn't be happier that we chose this place! Jerry and Lynn are EXCELLENT hosts, and thought of everything to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We cannot recommend their place highly enough! The grounds are well-maintained and the abundance of plants and birds is INCREDIBLE! A canyon full of waterfalls is a short walk away, and Volcan is a short drive away. We were able to enjoy many of the fine restaurants there, as well as other attractions. What we loved the most was the tranquility of the place! Gentle rains fell during the night, but most mornings broke clear and fresh. The view of Volcan Baru from the back deck is amazing! The house is beautifully designed and maintained. There was always plenty of water (which isn't always the case in Panama!) which was pure and delicious. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare our own meals on the days we chose to eat in, plus a "stack" washer and dryer and other essential appliances that made us feel right at home! My wife is a lover of animals. so she thoroughly enjoyed meeting the four pups who roam the grounds here, as well as watching the great variety of birds who came at "feeding time." I can promise you that you will NOT be disappointed if you choose this place for your next getaway! We are already looking forward to returning at some point in the future with our two teenaged sons so they can enjoy this place as much as we did! Thank you, Jerry and Lynn, for providing us with the PERFECT place to spend our honeymoon! May God bless you and keep you, and make His face shine upon you!"Guest: Don D. Panama Travel Tips
Getting to Panama Vacation Rentals
The Tocumen International Airport in Panama City is located not far from the city center. Because of the rapid expansion of the city in recent decades, roads and traffic can be particularly chaotic and you need to allow for additional time to get to and from the airport. Panama City Airport hosts most major North American, South American and European Airlines. There are regular daily scheduled flights that link Panama City with other major cities in the United States and neighboring countries. If you are traveling to a region outside of Panama City such as Bocas Del Toro, you will need to get a domestic connection from the Marcos A. Gelabert Regional Airport. This is the airport that hosts most regional flights to the rest of Panama. In Panama, the best way to get around is by taxi. Car rental is not recommended unless you are traveling in more remote areas.
Panama Travel Attractions
The Panama Canal is a major engineering feat and one of the country’s biggest attractions. You can visit the Miaflores Visitors Center and join a guided tour explaining the history, construction and modern-day operations of the canal. Then while enjoying lunch or a cup of coffee at the restaurant, you can watch the locks operating and see the ships passing through. Half-day and full-day cruises on the canal will take you through a number of locks.
Panama City has a number of interesting landmarks and museums. Most are open throughout the year and provide interesting and unique insights into Panama’s history and culture. Unfortunately, not all museums have both English and Spanish transcriptions on their exhibits so it is sometimes useful to have a Spanish-speaking guide with you. The Old City is known as the Panama-Viejo. This is original site of the first settlement in Panama. The city was once a base for Spanish conquests but was destroyed by fire in 1671 when it came under attack of the famous English pirate Henry Morgan. The historical heart of Panama City is the Casco-Viejo. Here, you can see some colonial architectural masterpieces. Browse the shops and enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the street cafés.
The Bocas Del Toro Archipelago is a group of islands that is a marine paradise. Home to the first nature reserve in Panama, the islands offer a quiet retreat where you can forget all about corporate city life for a while. There are excellent diving and snorkeling on the islands. Many have great beach breaks and are popular surfing spots. Birdwatching is a favorite pastime and you can spend many leisurely hours on the beachfront.
Stylish Comforts at Panama Beach Houses
If you want a truly relaxing vacation then rent one of the beach houses in Panama. Enjoy a quiet rural ambience and have a vacation where you can put your feet up and do whatever you please. Stroll down to the local restaurant for lunch and enjoy a home-cooked seafood meal. In the evening, you can enjoy sundowners on the deck as the sun sets behind you. The homes are either cozy cottages or more spacious homes depending on your rental requirements. Living areas are comfortable and rooms are tastefully furnished.
