  • Dream Honeymoon

"I could not have imagined a more perfect destination for our honeymoon. The property and villa were even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. Babe, was absolutely amazing prior to our trip with information on what to bring, car rentals and answers to the many questions we had. Upon our arrival she provided a full list of recommended restaurants and shops and even arranged a massage in our villa. We were nervous about visiting Costa Rica in Oct as that is supposedly "rainy season". Other than a few 20 min late afternoon showers we had no issues with the rain. Everything was so green and lush that we actually welcomed a couple showers here and there. I would recommend making the trip to the private beach at the bottom of the property for some awesome shells and swimming. We can't wait to make another trip to Casa de Serenidad!!"

  • Just a perfect 9 days

"This home sits above one of the best views we saw in Costa Rica. We loved swinging in the hammocks and listening to the waves crash at high tide. We felt very secure as the neighbor is very vigilante. The only negative is he wakes up at 5:30 AM to the radio! This is a confortable home, everything works and the small pool and outdoor shower was wonderful. One of the best things was the huge mango tree next door filled with ripe mangos. Cindy was the perfect host concierge making all our arrangements and available after hours and weekends via text if we had any issues."

  • Great Time with the Family at Talanguera--Met Montealegre from across street!

"This unit is right across the street from the Harvard educated, non-corrupt business man who ran for President and Mayor of Managua and was thwarted, sadly, by corrupt Right and Left. Great neighborhood, easy walk to beach. My wife is Nicaraguan, so I get the benefit of her language skills, but honestly, you don't need much Spanish to get along down there. People are really, really nice. I don't speak that much Spanish myself. We like this area of town because it is quieter and more family-oriented. The nicer beach houses are on this side, and Pacific Marlin subdivision is just down the street. There is some construction noise which didn't bother us since we have small kids and it's noisy all the time around us anyway. Pool area is nice. Some of the workers live next door, and it's great for security--no worries about kids going around the property or the pool. Be careful and don't lock yourself out of the room safe like I did, but Monica was great about helping us get that fixed. The internet was wonky, but we didn't use it that much--it seems to suffer if more than one computer is on it and it went out one weekend (I think it may be the service provider; this is Nicaragua, after all, so don't expect US level of service). Power went out one day in town, but was fine. You can use water in stairwell outside for showers while powered pump is down. Wasn't a problem and didn't last long. After a few weeks in SJDS, we feel like locals. Nice small town feel with plenty to do. Realize they are filming 2 seasons of CBS's Survivor at Hermosa and Yankee beaches, so those might be closed for a while. We met the builder/architect--great guy. Great development. Honest owner and local agent. Wish we had the $$ to buy there!"

  • Best Family Get Away

"We are a family of 5 and stayed here in mid August. First of all the property was exactly as listed, which is always a concern when booking on line. The owner was very helpful to us and everything was as he stated. The condo was very clean and homely. Tamarindo itself was what we expected. We had great fun learning how to surf, and enjoyed a day of zip lining which was a great adventure. The town is about a 15 minute walk which we enjoyed everyday. We cooked at home a lot and loved getting the fresh fish and vegetables locally. There is a quality supermarket about 10 mins away by car and a local mini mart around the corner. All in all we had a wonderful time and would go back in the future. Dan , Marie & sons."
