  • Charming, secluded beautifull villa in tiny village in Tuscan hills

"What a charming most beautifull villa in a tiny hamlet in the Tuscan hills. Surrounded by the Fighine fortress (now privately owned) a few homes and a darling little churche (not in use but can be visited). All rooms are very well appointed and comfortable with a working fire place and relaxing living room area. The kitchen has all of the necessary cooking tools and appliances in addition to a washing machine. The two bedrooms had their own shower equiped bathrooms and were imaculately clean just like the rest of the villa. To our surprise a high speep wifi had just been installed and it was a bonus that we did not expect allowing us to keep in touch with family and friends back home. Considering that it was late in the season the pool had been removed. The grounds and gazebo with table and chairs were well maintained including a BBQ. There are basically 2 dirt road accesses to the hamlet with pretty villages within 20 minutes to half an hour with great restaurants (very reasonalble) especially Daniella in Castiganio di Bagni. Great base for day trips in both Tuscany and Umbria. The info provided by both the property manager Linda and the owners Grazzia and Cesare was very helpfull in deciding on our daily itinerary. Crucial to the enjoyment was the easy communications with Linda the property manager, always responding to our queries within a day or two. The owners were very nice and helpfull. When we could not operate the washing machine Cesare was there the next morning to fix it. We were also fortunate to meet Linda as she was in the area to arrange a wedding. She organized a cooking class for us at another villa. It was fun and gave us a chance to exchange info with other guests. Thank you to Linda, Grazzia and Cesare for making our vacation memorable. I would recommend this villa for 2 couples or small family wanting privacy and to relax."

  • Former Parisian in search of perfection

"Carole's apartment is simply perfect. The location is ideal--right in the center of the Marais but quiet and very laid-back. The apartment itself is spacious and very tastefully decorated. All of our communications with Carole were impeccable. Having stayed at a number of very impressive apartments in the Marais, we can say that this apartment is as good as it gets. It is exactly like the photographs depict it. This is what an ideal Paris vacation should be. I know this sounds like I'm getting some sort of pay-off but I drove myself crazy looking for the ideal place for our twentieth wedding anniversary. We found it! On-line renting is always nerve-racking but this is the ideal. Whenever we return to Paris, this will always be our first choice. My wife wants to live there forever. Recommended without the slightest reservation!"

Belgium Travel Tips

Traveling to Belgium Vacation Rentals

Belgium is located in the heart of Central Europe. Tucked away between France, the Netherlands and Germany, it has a relatively short coastline that runs along the English Channel. Ferries provide access from the United Kingdom port of Dover to Ostend in Belgium. This is one of the more traditional and still very popular ways of traveling to Belgium from Britain. For those flying into Belgium, the main airport can be found just outside of the capital city of Brussels. Because of its central location, the airport hosts a vast number of commercial flights on a daily basis. Almost all major European and North American airlines have flights that land in Brussels. If you are planning on touring some of the countryside, it is possible to hire a car. You should, however, be confident in your ability to navigate busy city streets and highways. A very popular way to travel to and around Belgium is by train. While it has become more expensive in recent decades, it is still the most convenient way to get around. There are regular rail links to almost every town, city and village in the country. There are also regular high-speed intercity trains that link Brussels with other major European cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne and Dusseldorf.

Belgium Travel Attractions

Belgium is a country that is centuries old. It has seen many wars, cultural and artistic influences over the years. While it has its own national identity, Belgium is a melting pot of cultures. There is a strong, French influence in the south, and different Flemish dialects are spoken in various parts of the country. Belgium is known for its beautiful architecture and rich cultural heritage. During your visit, you can immerse yourself in visiting museums, art galleries and theater performances. The many museums don’t focus on history alone. There are museums dedicated to children’s interests, art and music, toys, trains and transport, as well as cultural traditions. If you travel into the countryside, you can stop in at quaint villages that still keep to a more traditional way of life. Enjoy a home-cooked meal at a street café while you sip on your coffee and enjoy reading the local newspaper. Many of the homes have picturesque gardens and some towns have canal systems that were once used to foster trading partnerships with neighboring areas. There are many beautiful old churches and cathedrals in a variety of architectural styles. Belgium is a delightful destination for those that enjoy traveling in Europe.

Find a Stylish Accommodation in Belgium

Many of the apartments in Belgium are modern and functional. The city apartments tend to be quite compact but they offer an affordable alternative to hotel accommodations. Rental homes in smaller towns and cities are often old stone homes that have been lovingly restored and refurbished. The homes and apartments tend to cater to smaller families and are ideal for couples or a handful of friends traveling together. Many are conveniently located near bus or train stations so you can easily get around and do some sightseeing. Kitchens generally have a host of modern appliances so preparing meals is quick and easy.
