  • Excellentes vacances !

"Excellentes vacances!

  • A Big Fat Italian Wedding Week

"We choose to book La Selva and the services of the owner for our wedding. All in all we planned to host 22 guests for a week of which 14 were to stay at the premise for the whole week. Let me tell you that it was a superb choice. For one year the owner and "us" spent planning, scheming and organizing our wedding. No matter which request he was always quick to answer and solution oriented all the way. The wedding was a huge success and in parts due to his engagement. Mind you, not an easy task if you only communicate via Phone and email messages. The house itself is a real dream come true. Remotely hidden within an botanic treasure of a forrest with all sorts of flowers, trees and to our surprise pieces of art which he plants all over the 13ha property. You could easily spent a month within the little enchanted forrest and never see it all. There is this wonderful help which comes by "if needed" but at least 3 times during the week with the wonderful name Maria. She is a real angel and a godsend plus she can really do it all cooking, cleaning, watch your kids (not really babysitting but takes the time to engage the kids and show them around) and always smiles no matter how hectic any situation gets. Everything is real clean and neat, the rooms are spacious and full of light. Each "chamber" is a delight in itself and the owners really have a touch for making everything look and feel really cozy and unique. At the end we would always come back and hope to do so in the future. There would always be more to say and tell you about all of it, but the best way is to just call the owner and talk to him and check the internet for the pictures - i promise you won't regret it. Grazie per tutto - A. + S. P. from Z."

  • Luxury, elegant and creative, wonderfully relaxing.

"I cannot recommend 'The Paquerie' enough. I left having felt exceptionally well fed and cultured. Immediately I was stuck with the stunning romance of this classic French House, garden and delightful cave. A real French treat. Brian and Thérèse have decorated the accommodation with great love and consideration. Staying in the cave was magical! Everything that you may need is supplied in the highest standard. From Etro Shampoo to beautifully soft and comfortable sheets, antique furniture and very powerful shower. The fresh fruit breakfast, croissants and homemade jams are a perfect start for culture vultures to explore the very near by Chateax and local markets. Brian and Thérèse are extremely knowledgable in local history and are very helpful as guides. They are also discreet and unobtrusive when you are tired from a long day's indulging. Luxury, elegant and creative, wonderfully relaxing. Thank you very much for having us!"

  • Nice place to stay

"In the middle of town. Frederique stayed all afternoon and met us even though we were very late getting there. She was extremely kind and full of information. Nearby are restaurants, grocery, laundromat, parking, sites, etc. Small but comfortable. Obviously cared for well. Price can't be beaten."

Croatia Travel Tips

Best Time of Year to Visit Croatia Vacation Rentals

Croatia’s climate is largely dominated by the warm Mediterranean Sea. The coastal areas in particular benefit from a relatively mild climate with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Because it is drier, summer tends to be the most popular times to visit Croatia. Even though it gets hot, there is typically always a cooling breeze from the Mediterranean that provides some welcome relief. The summer months are from June to September and the peak tourist season is during the months of July and August. For those traveling to Croatia for its cultural and historic attractions, you can benefit from off-season rates. Many of the attractions are indoors so good weather isn't crucial to your trip.
