A refaire"

  • Great Apartment!

"My husband and I had a great stay at this apartment. It was very spacious, decorated well and centrally located. We were able to walk to most of our destinations, and the area seemed to be a safe one with lots of shopping. The only downside was the intermittent noise due to construction that was going on in the building in one of the other apartments, although it did stop on the weekends and this was almost two months ago now."

  • A great location for exploring the D-Day beaches.

"A very nice property, and the second house I have rented in Normandy (and I don't speak any French). This is a good choice for Americans as the owner Laurence speaks english, and she can help you out with a phone call or two. You have plenty of restaurants nearby and Laurence will recommend her favorites (or check Trip Advisor). Bayeux is also close by if you want to take a cab in for dinner (I recommend La Rappiere!) The kitchen in the house is well appointed, so you will have no problem if you want to eat in. The house has wifi too, I didn't watch any TV but it is there. There are markets within walking distance, and a couple of wine shops. I would say the house is good for a couple, or a couple with one to three teens. Oh, there is no door to the master bathroom, not a real problem though. There are 3 bathrooms total. Oh, ask about the hot water. You have to flip a breaker for hot water in the afternoon (easy to do). There is an energy saver built in, so you have to over ride it. The property is spotless and updated, so it is very nice. I highly recommend to fellow Americans, and it isn't far from Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. I would recommend a private tour guide for exploring the beaches (whether one day or 5 days if you are going all week). Laurence leaves a lot of good info for you, so you will have plenty of info. We had a great time staying for the 70th anniversary of D-Day, thanks Laurence!"

  • Cosy apartment in a beautiful town

"My husband and I and two friends stayed in this top floor 2 bedrom apartment in the old town of Annecy for three nights. Annecy is a very pretty town built on canals and at the top of Lake Annecy. Our apartment was a restored apartment featuring exposed beams and woodwork but had modern facilities. We walked into the kitchen/dining area which had a dining table and TV and the kitchen was compact with a microwave/convection oven, ceramic hotplates, fridge, coffee makers, toaster and full range of cooking implements and ware for self catering, as well as ample crockery and cutlery. One bedroom was to one side of this room and overlooked a little canal. This room was small and had a good pull out sofa with a proper mattress. The other bedroom was to the other side of the kitchen area along with the separate toilet with basin and separate shower and basin. The other bedroom had 2 single beds and was very spacious. There was a washing machine and we had use of Wifi connection. Dominique was great host and informed us of all we had to know about Annecy. We highly recommend this property."

Croatia’s climate is largely dominated by the warm Mediterranean Sea. The coastal areas in particular benefit from a relatively mild climate with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Because it is drier, summer tends to be the most popular times to visit Croatia. The summer months are from June to September and the peak tourist season is during the months of July and August. For those traveling to Croatia for its cultural and historic attractions, you can benefit from off-season rates. Many of the attractions are indoors so good weather isn't crucial to your trip.
