  • Amazing views is an understament ....

"When we saw the pictures of this beautiful villa we decided right away that this is the villa we wanted to stay this time ( we had been in Mykonos a few times already before ) . But let me tell you the reality is even better than the pictures . This is a UNIQUE place in more than one way. The concierge service and assistance we received before our trip and during our stay was the best we have received in any vacation rental we have stayed . The owner Antonis and his team ( George was amazingly helpful and even our kids fall in love with him and Efie was the sweetest housekeeper and the best cook - her pastitsio and spanakopita have us drooling even now ) helped us with all our needs , arranged cars for us, booked us to the best restaurants and shared the best secrets on the island . And all with a big smile in their face. The taverna Apostolis and Vradaris in Anomera - the village which is only 5 min drive from the villa - were the best and also Fokos taverna . The boat trip to Delos that Antonis and George arranged for us was one of the best experiences in our life!!!...unforgettable !! And back to the villa , you really do not find places so beautiful and well serviced , comfortable, clean , great wi fi,amazing pool, beautiful bedrooms..we had it all... We all recommend this place with no hesitation and we will be back this year too...Thank you all for making our stay so wonderful"

  • A treasure in the Marais

"We stayed in this appartment for two weeks in October. It's perfectly located if you are planning to take the Metro, and also central enough if you like to walk. Not only it has all the amenities to be your home away from home, but it also comes equipped with the basic kitchen staples and toiletries so you won't need to go shopping on your first day for shampoo and cooking oil. The shops in the neighbourhood are amazing...try the deli at the Monoprix for the most amazing variety of cheeses, and don't leave without trying the poulet farmier (free range chicken) at the rotisserie."

Cyprus Travel Tips

Visitors to Cyprus Vacation Rentals

Cyprus has a long and detailed history dating back to pre-Biblical times. Many visitors who travel to Cyprus do so because they have a strong interest in ancient history and civilizations. There are many archeological sites and places of interest to visit on the island. The many museums showcase the country's turbulent past. Cyprus is also an ideal destination for those who enjoy exploring the outdoors. One of the most popular ways to get around the island is by bicycle. There are many mapped routes for cyclists who explore the island's natural and cultural sites. Golfers are attracted to the island's three 18-hole golf courses. The warm climate makes Cyprus a popular year-round golfing destination. Sun lovers can choose from the soft sandy beaches of the eastern coast or the pebble beaches that are found on the western and southern coasts.

Attractions near Cyprus Lodging

There are four major cities on the island of Cyprus. The capital Lefkosia is located in the middle of the island. It has an ancient old quarter that is surrounded by a Venetian sandstone wall. This wall was once a protective fortress around the city. The newer and more cosmopolitan parts of the city are beyond the wall. Lefkosia is a wonderful blend of both old and new culture. Lemesos is known for its vibrant nightlife. It is located along the southern coastline and the second largest city on the island. It is also the center of Cyprus' wine industry. Lemesos is probably one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island and there are many resorts and tourist facilities here. Larnaka is located on the southwestern coastline and home to the major international airport. It is a modern city that has a beautiful marina and palm-lined promenade. There are several cultural sites and shrines that hold great importance to both the Christian and Islam religions.

Pafos is located on the western coast and a city known for its magnificent mosaics. It is also where many of the more significant archeological finds have taken place. Just outside of the city you can visit the famous "Tombs of the Kings." These rock-hewn tombs are believed to date back to early Hellenistic and Roman times, making them intriguing to visit.

The Best Cyprus Travel Seasons

Cyprus has a typically Mediterranean climate where summer months are hot and dry and the most rainfall occurs in the cooler, winter months. Summer is typically the peak travel season and temperatures can get very hot. Visitors should have adequate sun protection in the form of sunhats and sunscreen. Because of its mild climate, Cyprus can be visited year-round. The only season when the weather is less pleasant is between December and February when most of the rainfall occurs.

Getting to Cyprus

Cyprus is an island in the Mediterranean, located just south of Turkey and to the west of Syria. The island's international airport is located in Larnaca. The airport hosts regularly scheduled international flights with many major European countries. Most popular routings are to London, Rome, Milan, Amsterdam, Paris and Frankfurt. The local airline benefits from daytime flights whereas most international carriers land late at night or in the early hours of the morning. During the summer months, there are sometimes ferries that connect Cyprus and the Greek island of Rhodes; however, the schedules are somewhat erratic. There are no scheduled ferry services between Cyprus and Syria or Israel; however, private cruises do sometimes link these destinations in peak travel season.
