"We stayed here for 10 days this summer and had a very good time. The apartment had a lot of kid friendly equipment (high chair, pac n play/crib, kids toys and books), the location was great, and the owners were great. Our only concern was related to the layout of the unit.
The neighborhood was fantastic - quiet, fairly upscale, and a short walk to tube stations, buses, and shopping. There were a couple of nice parks just a short walk away (great for kids) and Bunty and Ian were always available via email or with a knock on their door downstairs if we had questions or needed anything. Bunty even emailed us one day when it was raining to suggest an indoor kids play venue, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated.
One thing that I didn't see in previous reviews that might be worth mentioning is the layout of the apartment - just in case it helps other travelers. We knew that the unit was split over 2 levels but didn't realize quite how steep and tight the staircase was to go upstairs. (It’s also painted wood and can be a tad slippery with socks on) If you have small kids who have graduated from cribs, you're probably not going to want to sleep them upstairs. (We slept our 1.5 year old in a crib upstairs but our 4 year old slept on an air mattress that we brought with us on the main floor, in the living room) During our stay we had a lot of sunshine (which was fantastic) but that meant it was quite warm upstairs, as you would expect in any loft. Ventilation was limited but Bunty was gracious enough to loan us a fan to keep the air moving. Also note that the bathroom upstairs has very limited headroom. (If you keep your head down you can use the toilet; most people wouldn't be able to stand in the bath)
Overall, London is a fantastic place and this apartment is a good compromise between location, price, amenities, and owners who are willing to go the extra mile. Recommended!"
