  • Nice place

"Location is really close to everything: station, touristics places, London center, pub, restaurant... We were 4 adults and 5 children and the flat is well organised for two families with his 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Maria is welcoming and she made our arrival simple. Flat was clean. I recommend it for two families."

  • Live like a Londoner

"Bishop Park Mansion was outstanding. It was clean, bright, spacious, and well equipped, but not cluttered, which was super nice because we could make it feel like our own while there. A few nice vases for flowers and candles added to our stay. Not only was the owner responsive to all of my questions prior to arrival and her recommendations of the area were reliable, but the local property managers were also very kind, patient and helpful. We wanted to have easy access to the West-end but also retreat to the neighborhood life where our daughter lives to relax. This flat was perfect! We spent some days exploring London while other days we remained local and we were happy. Buses and tubes are well timed and connected so travel was easy and still in zone 2. We found delicious bistros and pubs nearby, great coffee at Tinto's, and a local "shop" for emergency last-minute supplies, with good basic shopping to be found on the Fulham Road, including a large Sainsbury's at The Fulham Road tube stop and a Whole Foods nearby. Forewarned that the place is not stocked with basics like salt, sugar, and oil, but the kitchen is wonderfully stocked otherwise with washer/dryer, dishwasher, cooking (even made chicken soup one Saturday afternoon) and plenty of gadgets cooking. The large dining room table served as both a place to entertain our local family as well as doing some teleconferencing and business work while away from the office. We loved our time in the flat as much as exploring the area and wandering around the city at large. The bed was very comfortable and cozy and the living area was bright with morning sun and comfortable as well, stocked with good movies, games, and books. The bathroom was very adequate with a nice tub. The back and front of the flat look out into gardens so the whole place has a feeling of being in a treehouse with views of the sky as much as the trees and sweet back garden. A local "must see" is Fulham Palace where one can have tea and walk the grounds…the whole park is wonderful for a local retreat and includes access to the river path for daily outings. We did not play tennis, but the courts were used every day by locals. The bus drops off very nearby so easy access to the diversity of this Hammersmith/Fulham borough gives you several options to explore the life of locals from Hammersmith over to Putney and Parson's Green or a scenic trip to Sloane Square. The flat totally met our expectations--we'll be back!"

  • Comfy flat, excellent location in Covent Garden

"The host, Martin, was extremely kind and helpful. This very clean two bedroom one bath flat was quite small but had the necessary amenities. Getting into the double bed was a challenge as it filled the room. 2nd bedroom had two single beds. Lots of storage in the hall stocked with helpful tourist information. The kitchen was well stocked and nicely organized with condiments, plenty of dishes and cutlery. Dishwasher was good, washing machine very handy altho dryer did not work. The best thing was the location. So close to all the main sights and restaurants and theaters. Martin recommended a wonderful restaurant in Covent Garden. The recommendation to buy an Oyster card at the station was terrific. We started with 5 pounds each and added another 5 for riding the tube and bus. We would absolutely recommend this lodging and the manager. D and J, Tennessee, USA"
