  • The Perfect "Home Away From Home"!

"I had an enjoyable stay in this great flat. Although a one bedroom, it was very spacious and comfortable, and well maintained. The Building is quiet and clean, and has a (small) lift. The King Size bed was comfy and there is plenty of closet space (unlike previous flats in which I've stayed). There is an 'off the wall' bed in the living room also. It's a corner unit, so lots of light, and a nice cross breeze as well with windows in each room. The kitchen has everything you'll need including glassware, flatware, pots and pans, electric tea kettle, etc. The bathroom is large, and has plenty of hot water and amazing water pressure. The building is adjacent to the St. James's Park Underground. It was very convenient for the journey from Heathrow. Victoria Street is close by, so many buses available if you prefer not to use the Underground. Victoria Station is one tube stop away, a few minutes by bus, or a short walk. There are several pubs within a 2-3 minute walk, and a pub directly across the road as well as a Starbucks. And, loads of nice restaurants nearby, and shops to pick up freshly made sandwiches, coffee, and other prepared snacks. Directly below the building there is a nice convenience store for newspapers, snacks, beverages (even wine and beer) and other incidentals including post cards. There is a post office close by where you can purchase stamps and mail post cards. The flat is located within walking distance to many of the popular London attractions including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and Westminster Cathedral, Big Ben, London Eye, Cabinet War Rooms, Parliament and St. James's Park where you can feed the ducks. The owner is very nice and such a pleasure deal with. I highly recommend this flat for a London stay -- and will certainly stay here again."

  • Definitely a winner on every call

"Location, location, location! This apartment is definitely a winner on every call near the St James underground tube station is a great base for a stay in London. You have ready access to so much of what is going on in London culture, museums, tourism, restaurants, and business. Our family of 3 had a special week in the apartment with me and my wife, with a 12-year old grandchild on his first visit to London. The accommodations, which include a good living and dining space as well as a fully equipped kitchen, are very comfortable and clean and were the scene of many family planning sessions and evening recaps of the day's events. This apartment provides a very nice "home" neighbourhood with several places for snacks and breakfast, if you don't want to prepare your own. Anything else you might need in your neighbourhood from groceries to hardware is close bye. Finally, helping ensure a seamless stay, Marc the apartment manager provides helpful guidance and is very responsive to any questions. I would strongly recommend the apartment to friends and business associates. We asked about a mobile telephone sim card and he gave us 2 pay and go mobile phones to use at no charge, we asked for early arrival and he agreed, we asked for a lot more and he fired of many emails with suggestions as he knew London very well indeed. I also mentioned it was my birthday and guess what he sent me a card to arrive at the address on the day."

  • Family Friendly

"Our family (2 adults, 3 teenagers) stayed in this flat for a week in February. It perfectly met our needs. It was a quick walk to the tube station and only a few minutes to central London. The neighborhood was lovely and the shops and restaurants had everything we needed. The flat itself was well equipped and after long days of sightseeing was the perfect place for us to comfortably flop. We had so much more room and comfort than we would have had at a hotel and the price was substantially better. The flat was properly cleaned and well maintained. The listing photos are accurate except the flat is larger than it appears. The owners were lovely and easy to deal with. They made many helpful suggestions that added to the enjoyment of our really special family trip. I would (and have) recommend this flat to friends and family."

  • Comfortable flat in a great location

"This apartment/flat was so comfortable and chic. I love all the red (although red is my favorite color). Mary and Hasan were great to communicate with. Mary was very responsive to all my questions. I hate when you send an email and have to wait 2-3 days for an answer. I would send Mary an email in the evening and I would have a response when I woke up the next morning (I live in Southern California) The flat has a fully stocked kitchen. There is oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and spices. The bathroom towels are thick and fluffy (DKNY) - I hate thread bare towels. The TV has an HDMI connection so I was able to use my Apple TV. There’s also a strong WIFI connection. The hair dryer has a directional nozzle (very important for the ladies who use a round brush to dry their hair). The bed is also very comfortable. My husband has a bad back but he never complained. He usually takes Motrin/Advil like its candy when we're on vacation. There are only 2 possible negatives. This isn't an elevator building (all you NYCers know what I’m talking about) There are several flights of stairs to climb. My husband and I didn't have any problems (I’m 36yo and he's 46yo) so if you have any back or knee problems this might not be the place for you. Also the bathroom is very small (which Mary is very upfront about). The small bathroom wasn't a problem for me but if you like a large bathroom with a vanity this flat isn't for you. There is also security deposit required which initially made us a little hesitant. But Mary returned the deposit through VRBO within 4 days (2 of those days were Saturday and Sunday) I would definitely recommend this flat to my family and friends and I will be returning."
