  • Outstanding Visit to Oxford

"Our first foreign excursion! Coming from the US we had no idea what to expect. We came to visit our son who has been studying at Oxford. Everything was perfect - even better than the pictures! Comfortable beds, a wonderful kitchen and dining area, a lovely walk into City Center. My kids (17, 14 and 12) loved feeding the horses apples on our daily walk into the city. Rented a car one day to travel to the Cotswolds, well worth it. Punted on the Cherwell River, picnicked at Port Meadow, loved the taverns and shopping. The colleges are simply stunning. Communication with the owner was easy and payment was very smooth. The rooms are very comfortable and everything felt very much like home. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this house and it's proximity to everything! We walked everywhere and that was even pushing our 12 year old in a light weight special needs stroller. It was wonderful that our son was able to stay with us, it was a mini vacation for him as well. I would highly recommend this house!!"

  • Great base for fun in Oxford

"Had a very comfy and cosy stay in upper fisher row in Oxford. Property was a decent size for 7 adults, with room for all in the seating area and in the dining area. The galley kitchen got a little crowded at times but was functional and we were well able to cook decent meals with the equipment provided. The location is good for walking into the town centre and for access to the train station. A shame about the lack of parking but the park and ride really does work very well and is reasonably priced. We also found that dropping luggage off from the car and then driving to the park and ride to then get the bus back was straightforward enough."

  • The Copse

"Wow what an amazing experience, we had the most wonderful time at The Copse. Tim welcomed us and made us feel at home on arrival, the house was clean, warm and cosy making the whole weekend an intimate feeling for us all as we were a group of friends that's needed quality time together from our busy schedules. To make the experience even more delightful the cinema room and hot tub were a bonus to help us relax, in regards to catering we hired a cater for the whole weekend, so none of us had to cook. Our group have booked again this year and are looking to make this our yearly winter retreat. Penny & Tim are easily contactable if needed but gave us our private space throughout the entire weekend."
