  • Charming House - Wonderful Location

"Three ladies on a girls' trip enjoyed this perfect central Mews House for a week. We could not have asked for a better location, well appointed and charming house. A quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance of so much - local restaurants and shops, Victoria tube, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park Corner and so much more. We truly felt like locals for 7 days! Ted the owner's driver picked us up from the airport and transported us to the house, what a wonderful service after a long transatlantic flight. Ted was full of useful and interesting information and gave us a tour of the neighborhood so we could get our bearings ahead of time. The house has everything one would need away from home, with both en-suite bathrooms having been very recently remodeled to a high standard. There was indeed construction at the house next door, but as we were out all day it did not bother us at all, but if one had young children this may be something to consider. Would most definitely recommend this lovely Belgravia property and we hope to return!"

  • Home Away from Home

"My husband and I just returned after staying at this London flat for the past week. The flat was amazing; centrally located in the heart of London, mere steps from the tube and absolutely perfect. The accomodations were lovely. Plenty of room, every amenity possible (washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc) and very comfortable. We came to spend a week to visit all the museums we rushed through the last two times we were in London. A 10 minute walk, and were at the V & A, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. A few tube stops away, we were at the National Gallery, the Portrait Gallery, the British Museum, the Wallace Collection, the Cortauld Gallery and the Tate Britain. In the evening, we were just a few tube stops from Covent Garden and all the wonderful musicals. Not only was the flat beautifully decorated, the floor plan would be great for a family with young children or teenagers or two couples with its two bedrooms and two bathrooms. And the bathrooms are totally modern with wonderful "hot" water and terrific water pressure (which is not the case in a lot of places). It was fabulous to have the use of the kitchen to stay in or to enjoy all the restaurants that are close. Love the freezer that made superlative ice cubes for beverages after a day of sights. A lovely "gem" and we hope to stay at the flat when we come back to London next time. There are not enough superlatives to describe this extraordinary flat. Bonnie, the owner, is delightful to correspond with and definitely wants her guests to enjoy her London home. She has this amazing informational packet that is so helpful. As other guests mentioned, Harrod's is nearby and just walking the food halls is a must attraction with its delicious food and tantalizing sights. Plus, where in the world would you get to see a gold plated Ferrari and a crystal encrusted Mercedes parked outside Harrod's if you weren't staying down the street....? We had spectacular weather with minimal cold and no rain in March. The flat was a bit "warm" but cooled with open windows. You could fall asleep quickly and be totally refreshed for another day of fun in London~Frankly, there is no other place to stay in London except this phenomenal property on Basil Street!"
