  • Return stay

"In 2014 we returned for a second visit to the Dordogne region. The selection of a rental property for home base was an easy decision.....Mont Joie in Beynac-et-Cazenac. Mont Joie is a fascinating, well equipped home with spectacular views and a great location for exploring the Dordogne region. The owner makes the rental process easy and local support is always available if questions or issues arise. It was a no-brainer for us to rent it again."

  • Pinch me, I'm dreaming

"The town is unbelievably cute and every morning I woke up not believing I was in the middle of it. The owners were super accommodating and made the process smooth and easy. The backyard terrace and garden was a highlight. You can drink your coffee or tea and just look up at the castle in astonishment. The area was the highlight of a 3 week vacation across various regions of France. Canoeing the Dordogne River was so incredible we actually did it twice. The views as you come into Beynac and the nearby town of La Roque-Gageac are magnificent."

  • Super location

"Two couples, two weeks. First the "pros": The site of the former watermill couldn't be more charming. The sounds of the waterfalls and birds are delightful, and though away from the tourist action (you MUST have a car) this is pretty convenient for sightseeing and dining. It's a unique home with lots of character. Cons: There are no supplies stocked for tenants. Bring your own salt & pepper, cleaning supplies, paper towels, other paper products, garbage bags, toiletries, etc. There's a large Carrefours market nearby, but it closes mid-day and Sunday afternoons. Some maintenance issues. Special note: Owner and her charming adult daughter were extremely helpful when we had a car problem and were stranded at house. They were life-savers for us. Equipment: note that there is no telephone. If you stay in high summer, note that A/C is only one portable unit on second floor. "Canoe" was not available to us."

  • Summer Holiday

"We had a lovely week at the cottage in Beynac. We had everything we needed before and during our stay and the housekeepers, Elly & Pierre, were extremely welcoming and helpful. Beynac is a great base for exploring the Dordogne and as a family we enjoyed some excellent days out, sights, food & wine. We would also like to comment on the really friendly and accommodating local people in all the shops & restaurants we visited. Thank you for a wonderful holiday in your beautiful cottage."

Beynac-et-Cazenac Travel Tips

Escape to Another World with Beynac Et Cazenac Vacation Rentals

Situated on the banks of the Dordogne river, Beynac Et Cazenac is known as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Beynac was originally a commune which was looked over by the Chateau de Beynac, the impressive 12th century castle which still stands at the center of the village today. Walk down the cobblestone streets of Beynac and you will find yourself in a very different world. Return to the peaceful old-world pace of life and leave the hectic cement covered world behind.

Enjoy the Local Surroundings

Beynac Et Cazenac travel will delight anyone who enjoys authenticity. The local shops, bakeries, and restaurants will offer you the best of Beynac Et Cazenac. The town has preserved its old world charm not only in the architecture of the buildings themselves but in the attitude that permeates the village. A warm, unhurried, but meticulous attitude is found in the locals.

An Intellectual Vacation

Take advantage of your historical surroundings and visit the historical sites, especially the Chateau de Beynac. The castle is one of the best preserved medieval castles in France. When it was restored last century, it was done using only authentic medieval craftsman tools. There is much at the castle and at nearby historical sites to stimulate the mind.

Come Back to Comfort

After a day exploring the beautiful French countryside, retire to one of the Aquitaine villas. Vacation homes in Beynac Et Cazenac will provide you with the comfort and space you are looking for in a vacation home, while maintaining the authenticity and medieval charm of the village itself. Complete with all the amenities you have at home, your Beynac Et Cazenac vacation home will satisfy all your needs. Go down to the local market and pick out your own fresh ingredients for a meal at home. Relax and truly enjoy yourself at Beynac Et Cazenac.
