  • Excellent house in a beautiful setting

"We stayed (4/5 people) at Clos St Julien for two weeks and would stay again---that's the ultimate test. The house is located in a small hamlet about 2 miles from Cenac, so it has a wonderful rural setting, quiet, with very nice walking opportunities to the Dordogne river nearby and across walnut groves. Well-furnished, comfortable, and more like a friend's house than a vacation rental. Gabriele (Owner) is very responsive and professional."

  • Perfect property for touring the Dordogne region

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this wonderful, tranquil property and wish that we had stayed longer. St. Vincent de Cosse is a charming, quiet village that is conveniently located 5-15 minutes away from must-see towns in the Dordogne region including Beynac, Castelnaud and La Roque Gageac. We are so glad that we did not stay in Sarlat (huge) or Beynac - both were very touristy. The property has beautiful views. There is a large grocery store and gas station 7 km away from the house adding to the convenience. The property itself is lovely and spacious. The kitchen has everything you could possibly desire and there is a large living room (with English TV channels) and a large dining room. We never used the dining room though because the outside patio terrace was so beautiful. You can hear sheep, donkeys and church bells throughout the day adding to the charm. They have nice mattresses and pillows so we slept comfortably as well. Our two daughters, ages 7 & 10, loved the house, the backyard area (petanque court and swing), and especially the pool. We were concerned about having no air conditioning in August but the stone house was incredibly cool and we were quite comfortable. The owners were extremely responsive to two small problems that we had while we were there and they have been wonderful to deal with throughout the booking process. They also provided a wealth of information including kayaking vendors and restaurant recommendations. We give this property our highest recommendation and the region is the most beautiful we have toured in France."
