  • Outstanding in every way

"We stayed in this lovely, spacious apartment for five nights. The apartment was spotless, bright and sunny, attractively furnished, and well located near the center. Most memorable, however, was the warm hospitality Joce extended us. Her husband accompanied us through the labyrinthian streets to the car park when we checked in, which saved us a ton of stress. She provided us with a welcome package of wine, baguette, butter, milk, candies and cookies, and was helpful and prompt with sight seeing information we needed. We have stayed in a lot of rental apartments during our travels, and I vote for Joce as the hostess with the mostest."

  • Spacious, well furnished apartment in Beaune

"Our family of four including our two boys age 13 and 6 stayed in this spacious 2 bedroom apartment for 4 days this April. Joce was a delight to work with, prompt with answers to all of my questions. We were met by Joce and Yan upon arrival and they helped carry our luggage to the first floor apartment and directed us to the secure parking garage nearby (free of charge to guests). The apartment is centrally located in the old city. The Sunday market in the square across from Hotel Dieu is a must do and the rampart walk is highly recommended. Joce has a visitors book filled with recommendations on activities, restaurants, wineries and detailed city maps which we found very helpful. The apartment is lovely and very clean with wooden beams on the ceilings in the living room and one of the bedrooms. The kitchen is large and well equipped and opens out to a covered terrace where we enjoyed our morning tea. Joce and Yan have thought of everything to make their guests feel right at home. There are plenty of good quality dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, spices and condiments in the kitchen. Milk, butter and a bottle of wine were waiting for us in the refrigerator which was very helpful to get us started. We used the washing machine to do some laundry and there was a drying rack to dry out clothes in the kitchen or out on the terrace. Joce went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We wanted to wash a few pieces of clothing prior to our return and realized that the laundry detergent was out. It was almost 9 PM, shops were closed and I called Joce to find out if there might be some extra detergent somewhere in the apartment. There wasn't, but Joce came over right away and dropped off a couple of detergent pouches so we could get our last minute laundry done. Thank you Joce and Yan, for making our stay in Beaune so comfortable! We loved the area and look forward to returning some day and if we do, we know where we will be staying!"

  • Gorgeous retreat in the center of Beaune

"My in-laws and I have recently returned from a week in Beaune, staying in JJ and Agnes's gorgeous home right in the middle of the city. We cannot say enough good things about the apartment, which really does feel like a castle and is even more beautiful than the pictures show. We loved our time there and we were so grateful for the hospitality of JJ and Agnes. My husband and his parents took full advantage of the city's wine culture, and we were perfectly situated for all of the tastings and classes they enjoyed, including tasting wines at JJ & Agnes's wine bar, just downstairs! I am pregnant, though, and could not partake in the amazing wine Beaune has to offer, but I found so many ways to fill the days, taking our 2 year old daughter around the city. So many things just beyond the doorstep of the apartment - a lovely park, a carousel in a nearby plaza, and a million beautiful cobblestone streets to wander down. I am hoping to return next summer with my own parents and siblings so that I can show them this amazing city and gorgeous apartment!"

  • La Maison de la Vieille Vigne

"After a hectic and wonderful week in Paris we came down to Villers-la-Faye to stay at La Maison de la Vielle Vigne. The cottage is exactly as described and tastefully decorated. We found the cottage to be very comfortable and with an excellent kitchen. The situation of the cottage is peaceful and we found it to be quiet and relaxing. We had lots of meals in the cottage making the most of the very tasty French produce which we bought from the surrounding shops and in Beaune which is a short drive away and of course the terrific wines. We used the excellent supermarket Grand Frais, recommended by Laura and Franck, for meat, vegetables and cheeses. There is a beautiful walk from the cottage up the hill by the side of the church and alongside the vineyards, a perfect early morning or evening stroll. Also recommended is the drive from Beaune to La Rochepot via Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, this shows off the famous vineyards and the pretty villages along the route. We also had a great evening meal at the L’Auberge du Coteau a country restaurant in a small village about a twenty minute drive from the cottage. The week here was a perfect wind down from Paris and the best possible introduction to Burgundy. Merci Beaucoup, George and Angela Mason Largo, Florida U.S.A."
