  • Unforgettable

"My husband and I stayed in the upper floor apartment for a week and had an unforgettable time walking around this pretty little city and touring the Cote de Beaune vineyards by bike and by car (what wonderful wines!). The Hotel Dieu is not to be missed, with its rows of cozy bed cabinets for the poor and its beautiful, multi-colored tile roof. The town has a plethora of great restaurants and tasting cellars (one recommended by Joce has 5 million dusty bottles stored in dark caves below the streets of the city, which you see when you tour it with your "tastevin" in hand!). The apartment is as it appears in the photos -- spotless, cute, and comfortable. We appreciated everything Joce did for us (nothing is too much for her!). No matter what, she will take care of you. We really appreciated the goodies left for us, since it's always difficult arriving later on Saturday when the stores close at 7 or so in the evening until Monday morning. There are so many things to do in this area that's it's difficult to decide; so many pretty towns in both directions: south, to the Cote de Beaune (fabulous white wines -- think Puligny-Montrachet, etc.), and north, to the Cote de Nuits (Vosne-Romanee, Fixin, I'll stop before I feel bad about leaving!), Thank you Joce, for everything, and thank you Yan, for the wine lesson! We hope to be back."

  • Gorgeous retreat in the center of Beaune

"My in-laws and I have recently returned from a week in Beaune, staying in JJ and Agnes's gorgeous home right in the middle of the city. We cannot say enough good things about the apartment, which really does feel like a castle and is even more beautiful than the pictures show. We loved our time there and we were so grateful for the hospitality of JJ and Agnes. My husband and his parents took full advantage of the city's wine culture, and we were perfectly situated for all of the tastings and classes they enjoyed, including tasting wines at JJ & Agnes's wine bar, just downstairs! I am pregnant, though, and could not partake in the amazing wine Beaune has to offer, but I found so many ways to fill the days, taking our 2 year old daughter around the city. So many things just beyond the doorstep of the apartment - a lovely park, a carousel in a nearby plaza, and a million beautiful cobblestone streets to wander down. I am hoping to return next summer with my own parents and siblings so that I can show them this amazing city and gorgeous apartment!"

  • Wonderful

"Thank you very much Nathalie for making the booking, and getting into the apartment a quick and relaxed experience. The apartment was perfectly situated in the heart of Beaune, and for the time we stayed there it was the perfect launching pad for our daily adventures. The apartment was across the street from a Boulangerie for your early morning 'Pain au chocolat' or your afternoon baguette, and a small grocery store was across the square. You were also a quick walk to many restaurants. The apartment in itself was great. The bed was comfortable, and perfectly spacious for two (we stayed in the studio) - We highly recommend this apartment for anyone wanting a romantic getaway in Beaune. Thanks again Nathalie for a wonderful experience."

  • Wonderful experience!

"We just spent 11 wonderful days in this winemaker's cottage in Burgundy. This wonderful restored cottage from 1650 was perfect in every way. One of the most beautiful areas we have visited and we hope to be able to return in the near future!"

Beaune Travel Tips

Choose to Stay in Beautiful Beaune Vacation Rentals

Just east of the heart of France, you'll find Beaune, a fascinating wine town. Take a break from the bustle of everyday life and escape to one of the Burgundy villas. It's easy to rent a stylish flat in the center of town for a romantic holiday, or a charming apartment just outside the city for the relaxing break that you deserve. If the whole family's ready for vacation, rent one of the Burgundy villas in the countryside. Many of these country estates, like Chateau Des Barrigards, offer fully equipped kitchens and spacious sleeping accommodations. You'll be surrounded by fields, vineyards, and gardens, and you just might have a view of a church from the 1300s.

What Beaune Travel Offers You

The top attractions in Beaune are the wineries. Take a tour through the sprawling vineyards of Burgundy, and sample the many wines and cognacs of the region, while learning about the art of making wine. Although Beaune lacks a Grand Cru winery, it's home to the annual wine auction in November, which is a charity for the Hospices de Beaune. It's worth visiting the hospice itself. Formerly a refuge for the poor, it's now a museum that features a geometric, polychromatic roof. If you're in Beaune, check out the statue of famed mathematician Gaspard Monge, and enjoy shopping around the square.

Home Again to Burgundy Villas

At the end of the day, you're ready for your own bed. Beaune vacation rentals offer a home away from home, where you'll have all the amenities of your own house, right there in Burgundy. Sit by the garden or on the balcony of your villa, and open a fresh bottle of wine from the local vineyards. Watch the sun set over the fields from the comfort of your vacation rental.
