  • A great stay in beautiful Beaune!

"Joce is a fabulous host, very warm, very welcoming and full of useful information. She met us opposite the apartment, we unloaded our bags and then she guided us to a parking station just around the corner and provided us with a free pass for the duration of our stay. This ground floor apartment is spacious, very clean and in a great location. It is in the old centre of town with a great boulangerie just 50 metres at the end of the street. At the other end of the road is the main street with a pedestrian mall leading to the town square only a few minutes away. The apartment will comfortably accommodate 4 people in the 2 double-bed rooms with plenty of clothes hanging space. The lounge area has a sofa, 2 chairs, coffee table, cable TV and leads out to a lovely small open courtyard; perfect for drinks! The kitchen is fully equipped with a good sized fridge & freezer, oven, cook top, dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker and all the utensils for cooking up a fabulous meal of great local produce. The dining area has a table with 6 chairs, ample crockery and cutlery for comfortable meals. A high chair and an assortment of games and books are also provided. The bathroom is also well sized with a step-in bath/shower, which thankfully doesn’t have to be a hand held shower, & a heated towel rail. There’s an efficient washer/dryer combo for doing laundry & the toilet is separate to the bathroom. This is a wonderful place to stay to visit Beaune and as a base for exploring the fabulous Burgundy area. Thanks Joce for a great stay."

  • Perth Australia

"Very nice well located apartment, with good services and kitchen. The hosts we very good and helpful. We had a problem with the TV and they came around straight away and fixed the set up. An interesting small town on the Loire, and as we were traveling by bike it was a welcome stop for three nights to recharge and do the washing. We visited Pouilly-sur-Loire and had a good lunch and visit to a cave."

  • Beaune Vacances!

"What a perfect spot in the heart of Beaune, central to much exploring by foot in town. Perfect parking spot luckily outside of apt. Didn't need my car, except for a few excursions, plus I had to fly into Lyon. Lovely to sit in the kitchen over looking inner courtyard with a glass of Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune courtesy of owners-merci! The living area very comfortable and a good spot to curl up when it rains with a book, cheese from the wonderful Hess store in Place Carnot and wine of course! The two sets of bedrooms are nicely separated by the living room. A great Perfect location to explore both Wed & Sat (bigger) markets, as well the brocante (antique/flea market). Handy for The Cook's Atelier (Bookable in advance on Rue de Lorraine) where I needed to be. Spacious light and airy apt, just as seen on-line. Well equipped if you choose to cook for yourself or have light bites. The owners were extremely helpful in providing information to get to apt as well as the many things to do in and around Beaune. There are many restaurants in Beaune, however, as a passionate cook I am often disappointed- hence a lesson at the Cook's Atelier. If I were to treat myself or being treated, dinner at La Ciboullette (Michelin Guide) near the Port of Saint Nicholas on Rue de Lorraine. Isabelle, the hostess is très charmante! La Ciboulette certainly gives you a welcome break from touristy food- who eats coq au vin or boeuf bourguignon in the middle of summer? I was hunting for the "Les Routiers" (truckers stop on Rue de Bretonniere), good reports from apt owners and friends- I couldn't find it (? directionally challenged). Caves des Madeleine has changed hands and the chef uses his own organically grown veg; the previous owner has a wine bar Dilettante with light bites such as salade de chevre chaud on Rue de Bretonniere (just as you enter the road off the peripherique on the left. I would recommend this apt for its ideal location. If you don't need to drive or much, the train station is so close. The owners are very helpful in suggesting car rental, etc. If you are driving, I suggest a picturesque drive along the Routes de Grands Vins, perhaps lunch in Santenay. I found Hotel Restaurant L'Ouillette, charming with patio over looking the Main Square; excellent food and wine bien sûr. Do book ahead if you want to visit Domaine Prieur Brunet- I missed out, plus it was a Sunday- dommage!"

"After an exhaustive search of available properties in Burgundy, suitable for 4 couples traveling together, all wishing to have their own en-suite bedrooms/bathrooms, to be within walking distance of a patisserie for the mandatory morning croissant, and to be within easy driving distance of Dijon, Beaune and regional sights, we booked this truly fabulous farmhouse. We were not disappointed! Each and every requirement on our “wish list” for the perfect rental was not only met, but exceeded our expectations. This old farmhouse was wonderfully, carefully and exquisitely restored to the highest standards of comfort, convenience and luxury. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The professional kitchen begs to be used for preparing simple breakfasts and Burgundian dinners. The close proximity to a myriad of regional attractions made our daily outings easy on our drivers. We ran out of time before we ran out of places to visit: e.g., beautiful Semur-en-Auxois, a short 10-minute drive; Dijon and Beaune, 45 minutes away; Fonteney Abbey, followed by wine tasting at Vignoble de Flavigny-Alesia – perfect day! Don’t miss the Sunday lunch at the Grange in Flavigny (where the movie ‘Chocolate’ was filmed). The gastronomic highlight of our stay was the fabulous dinner prepared by the homeowner, Katherine (with the help of her sweet daughter!) – the best meal of our entire trip! Katherine was so helpful in planning our visit and always available during our stay. We have rented other homes in France and Italy, and this was, by far, the best!"
