  • Hostess with the Mostest

"We stayed at this apartment for a week and loved it. The village of Nolay was delightful and the surrounding area was stunning. The apartment was extremely well-equipped, and there was nothing that one could require that wasn't there. It was spotless, with lovely towels and bedlinen, and more importantly, everything worked. However, the thing that makes this apartment so attractive is the owner. Susan was a delight. She was a wonderful communicator, she was fun, helpful and was always ready for a chat and a laugh, even though she was running her antique business in the front of the building. We had a wonderful time in the Cote d'Or region, and would have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to anyone looking to stay in this beautiful area."

  • What a wonderful vacation!!😄😄

"Our stay at Chateau de Mercurey so exceeded our expectations, I don't know where to begin. The serenity of the chateau and area was so obvious the minute we arrived. Every part of the home was so accomodating, meeting our every need. We especially enjoyed the balcony overlooking the vineyards and the village homes... Every morning we would so happily walk to the quaint village for our pastries and baguettes...The children LOVED the trampoline and the pool... Their parents so enjoyed their visits to the local winerys. I could go on and on.... This was the best family vacation we have ever taken. One week was not enough. Christophe was wonderful. We chuckled at his apology for the cool weather - we were so happy to not have to deal with usual August heat! Thank you, Christophe. We so want to come back😃"

  • Comfortable and convenient base for the Cote d'Or

"We've stayed here twice in the past couple of years, and look forward to returning. Sarah and Ken have created a comfortable home away from home for people who want to enjoy Semur and the wider experience of Bourgogne. Semur is an amazing example of a well preserved medieval city. It's small enough that you can cover it on foot easily, but big enough to have a selection of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, wine shops and even a supermarket. There is a lot to explore. From this location, it's an easy drive or bus/train to Dijon, Beaune and Paris. There are lots of interesting small towns in the region just a few minutes away by car. The house contains a collection of travel information in several languages. WiFi makes it easy to do internet research as necessary. The house is equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. It's well located for easy access to town. Having access to the private garden and courtyard is an extra plus in the summer for those who like to dine outside. I recommend it heartily."

  • Burgundy delight!

"La Ferme de la Lochère VRBO #142031 6 Rue de la Lochere Marigny le Cahouet France 21150 Katherine’s five bedroom en suite country estate provides a most comfortable home from which to explore Burgundy. Our group of young seniors enjoyed Katherine’s culinary treats for 5 nights including one of her special menus including terrific wine selections. We shopped for and prepared the other two evening meals. Some of us jumped in the pool after a day of visiting the beautiful countryside. Beaune is a 65-70 minute trip south while Dijon is a bit closer, 35-45 minutes. Better yet are the visits to the beautiful villages of Vezelay, Chateauneuf, Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, Noyers and Semur-en-Brionnais. Enjoy the cuisine at L’Oree du bois in Chateauneuf, the restaurant of Katherine’s brother Stephen. Driving through the villages is exciting since the roads were designed for horse and carriage. Burgundy is beautiful! Katherine only makes it better. Truly a terrific vacation home. Bill & Gail, New Jersey, September, 2014"
